Good ole fashioned home cooking, with amazing hamburgers. If you’re in Madisonville, you’ve got to make this stop at Donna’s. The staff is just plain friendly….epitome of Southern Hospitality at this establishment. Breakfast buffet on Thursday nights.

You won't find a better cafe then this lil jewel of a place. I have ate great for lunch and a week later for breakfast. Food is the best home cooking I have ever ate on a trip. I highly recommend. The best hospitality. Someone even payed for our food the qst time we went. We were told that they wanted to welcome us and show us how they appreciated us. I definitely will go back on my way through.

It can be hard to eat healthy on long motorcycle rides, and local restaurants can be hit or miss. We hit the JACKPOT with Donna’s Old Town Cafe. Don’t get me wrong, there were so many tempting things on the menu, amazing desserts, and true home style cooking that could break the strongest willpower. We get so lucky that they offered some low-carb and lean options among the variety of incredible things we saw pass our table.

I had literally the BEST veggie omelette of my life here; the chef put the kitchen sink of veggies in it and they just were delicious. Thank you, Donna’s for taking care of your locals and being such a delightful stop for travelers, too!

Great little restaurant in downtown Madisonville!! Food was delicious and dining area clean and quiet. Ordered the Reuben sandwich...wow!! Delicious!! Meat was moist and bread wasn't dry. Nice sized portion. Ashley was our waitress. A BIG shout out to her for being an amazing waitperson!! Very, very kind, polite, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. She really made sure we were pleased and enjoyed our visit. Thank you for ensuring we were satisfied. When back in the area, we will definitely be back!!

Love eating here and know owners well. Only complaint was that our server never looked us in the eye, had to be asked for items amd then she would bring to table and would literally push it on the table as she was walking away. I did tip even though I shouldnt have tipped as much, as Im hoping she was just having a rough day or something personal going on. I felt like we were an inconvience to her. Food was great, atmosphere was great, very clean and welcoming….will def go back and maybe our server will be having a better day!

We ate at Tellico Junction Cafe in Englewood ,a little while back. Horrible. And to think we paid for that too. We came to Donna's and was very very pleased with it all. The food was hot and very well made. A little of something every which ya turned... hot food NOT barely warm to cold... We went for breakfast and even got a piece of cake that wasn't completely dried out (Refering to the other restruant) Oh No!! It was moist and great. The service was wonderful and prompt. Fair price. We paid something like 14 per adult. The atmosphere was warm and very cozy. I read about the family business per a flyer on each table , and found that very interesting. Love the Dolly t-shirts. Next time I'll get one!! Great Place Everyone. Go Check this out,ASAP.
Thanks everyone..
Sallie

Title: A Culinary Sojourn Through Time at Donna's Diner

In the embrace of Donna's Diner, my companions and I recently partook in the Saturday breakfast bar, an endeavor that can only be described as a culinary revelation. The victuals served not only bestowed upon our palates a symphony of flavors but ushered us into an epoch where life unfolded at a gentler pace, and the cosmos seemed harmoniously attuned.

The repast laid before us, reminiscent of a bygone era, was redolent with the essence of nostalgia, evoking memories of yesteryears when simplicity graced every facet of existence. It was not merely a meal; it was a transformative journey, one that transported us to a period where life's complexities yielded to the comforting embrace of hearty breakfast fare.

The breakfast bar's assortment was nothing short of commendable, offering a cornucopia of delectable options that catered to discerning tastes. Each morsel, a testament to the culinary craftsmanship at Donna's, became a portal to the past, allowing us to savor the flavors of a simpler time.

In addition to the gustatory delights, the pricing of our repast was most judicious, ensuring that the experience was not only enriching to the senses but also gentle on the purse strings. The service, akin to the etiquette of days of yore, was marked by its promptness and geniality, further enhancing our journey through the annals of culinary delight.

For those yearning for more than just a meal, Donna's Diner emerges as an oasis where gastronomy and nostalgia converge. It is more than a mere dining establishment; it is a portal to a time when the world appeared to dance to a mellower rhythm, and life unfolded with a grace that seems to have been eclipsed by the relentless march of time. Donna's Diner, a haven where the past is not just remembered but savored with every delightful bite.

Ma'am, some folks from New Jersey passed through Madisonville years before I was a Google reviewer. We all saw the total eclipse in the summer of 2017, and while staff in the region's restaurants have probably changed, folks in our state remember the home cooking in town. I just had a Nashville Chicken Sandwich, and it brought back memories. Thank you for the fine food and good company. People on the East Coast remember the warm hosting. 👋❤🤍💙📷🗽🇺🇸🇰🇷🌑🌕🕛🌌

Omg, we wasnt ready!! So stopped here because the patio is closed on Monday and I was bringing my parents to eat. First time here and might I say-- everything we ate was delicious. Dessert was awesome; a gem in this town. A place worth traveling to eat at....

Rode the motorcycle in from Cookeville, and met two of my dearest friends from Georgia. Donna’s seemed like a good rendezvous point, although none of us had been there before. We could NOT have been more pleased with our first experience. Our Server (please forgive me, but I’m awful with recalling names) was attentive, warm-hearted, and just about the sweetest lady in the whole place. Our food, from the buffet, was hot, fresh, and delicious. The staff were constantly busy keeping the fresh dishes coming out from the kitchen, and the buffet was kept well stocked and tidy. I highly recommend the Mac-and -Cheese, the corn muffins, and the fried fish. Oh, and there were some big honkin’ Hush Puppies, too!
Do yourself a big favor and make a point of stopping in at Donna’s Old Town Café. And bring your appetite. You’re gonna LOVE IT!

As always we were greeted and seated promptly upon arrival. The buffet was hot, fresh and clean.
Our server made sure our tea stayed full and frequently ask if everything was alright.
Being a Veteran I was given a discount that I gladly gave back to our server as a tip for such good service.
All I can say is, if you leave hungry its your own fault.
