Despite all the negative commentary, I go here for my medical condition and will be taking my son here as well. I have no issues. The staff is not rude to me and they take care of me. Thank you Hiwassee.

Carla in intake has been an incredible help so far. Got me in for a same day appointment and was very patient and friendly!

Great place. Very friendly people. Appointments can be kind of long but this is only because they are very thorough. After you see the the therapist or doctor they have you see a case manager who makes sure all your needs there are being meet as well as if you need help getting your meds housing transportation filing insurance or other needs you may have. They also don't turn you away if you have no insurance like other places.

While there are a few members who are nice and respectful most of the staff are very disrespectful. I've been told; "I'm hanging up on you now and calling corporate ", "he missed his appointment so we can't help him if he runs out of medicine" (I been sick all day), it's never ending. My child use to go here and had the same great lady for a while. Once she left they never kept the same people, they just rotated out constantly. I was hoping it would be better this time, but I guess not.😔

I have been going to this place for years. However, today the secretary Betsy was so rude! I left and was upset and disgusted. I am bi-polar and my mental health is very important to me! This Betsy lady is rude and has a poor attitude. She should NOT be working in A mental health facility. Running the patient’s away!

I only rated this place a 1 cause it wouldn't let me rate it as a 0. First complaint the staff is ALWAYS changing. Next complaint is a particular staff member named Shandy. She's a "doctor". This "lady" is always wanting to change my kids meds. Then if u disagree she gets smart and says do u want ur kid to have long term side effects. Well no. But that the same reason u gave when u changed him last month. Then she won't remember have ever changing him. She's a poor excuse for a doctor. And that's the most polite thing I can say about her

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. This place houses many rude and unprofessional staff members. My guess is that the majority of the patients they see are ex-criminals with drug histories....because they treated me like one. I stayed here for six months and was continuously ignored by my doctor when I told her my medicine was not helping me. She would bump the dosage of my meds up instead of switch them, causing me to be extremely tired most of the day. She gave me an extremely hard time about giving me my adderall prescription even though I had previously been on adderall for 14 years prior to coming to Hiwasse (I even took a drug test for her and passed it). I remember consistently hearing several staff members ask me if I was “doing good in my program, or had any relapses?” To which I would always respond, “umm what program? I’m not here for drug abuse. I don’t abuse drugs, never have. I just have anxiety”
I’ve been threatened that if I try an find a different doctor that they would flag my chart and note that I have been “doctor shopping” so I have waited as long as possible. This week I realized that I have been having reacurring thoughts of suicide, and enough is enough. I have a beautiful 8 month old child who deserves a happy mom. Hiwasse is not helping, and it is worth the risk to find a doctor who will. Don’t waste your time here.

I would only go back as an absolute last resort.

Front desk person isn't at all helpful. Always having an issue with her. I wouldn't use this place if my child didn't need to see the doctor for his medicine. Everyone else seems to be okay you just can't get help from the front desk

In my experience, this place is very unprofessional. The wait times are ridiculous. Don't go here if you have any other options!
