I have gone to Gatesville twice. The first time I made an appointment and they cancelled one week before my appointment. I made a second appointment and the lady was so rude and said I didn't have everything I needed. This time I made my appointment in Meridian and the lady was extremely helpful and I was in and out within an hour. I will never go to Gatesville again.

Being a tiny town and a small population the days it's open are what I expect. Courteous, honest and helpful is what I found here. If you read and take in all the documents needed for ya, they'll do everything they can to help ya unlike Hillsboro which I'll always steer clear from now if I can help it.

Making an appointment super easy, renewing my license was super easy, and Janet was so professional and friendly, she made the whole experience painless and stress-free!

Went to get my license. For the record I'm putting all the ridiculous federal regulations aside and focusing only on the local office itself. The staff was friendly and nice. They don't have a check in station, but someone calls out to you from an open door to gst you checked in. If you have an appointment, dont expect to necessarily to be serviced at your appointed time. The process is quick enough if you are prepared for it.

The woman running the driver's license department was rude, typing away on her computer completely unrelated to helping us and must have sworn an oath never to even glance in the general direction of the people she's supposed to be helping. Ultimately, she wasn't able to help us because of a situation that could have been prevented has she been paying even the slightest bit of attention.

I don't ask much from people, but doing your job should be the bare minimum.

Nicest people? What is that person smoking? I called the number and never did get to speak to a person. The line is 100% unmanned. I received a letter from the DPS that said I needed to renew my license in person. So I drive to the nearest office and was rudely told that I must first make an appointment. My letter said nothing about an appointment! So I get into the scheduling website. The next appointment time is six weeks into the future! SIX WEEKS! Just to renew a drivers license! I can get into see my heart doctor and schedule a transplant quicker than that!

I can renew my law license, my pilot's license, my concealed carry license, and my fishing license ALL WITHOUT MAKING AN APPOINTMENT a month and a half away! DPS sucks big time.

I live 4 miles from this office and have lived in county for 30 years. Quit using this office MANY years ago. Save yourself a headache. Don’t go here because they are rude and office not opened daily. Hillsboro is complete opposite and worth the 30 min drive. Hillsboro staff is friendly and you can get in and out quickly.

The lady there was straight up rude and dismissed everyone sitting there waiting for a same day appointment we told her it says on line they do same day appointments and she says they do not do same day that smaller towns aren’t aloud to. And walked back into the office with out offering any help at all on where to go for a same day appointment.

On a day where there was light snow the office put up a sign indicating they would open at 11:00. The lobby is filled with 15 people at 10:30 who have been waiting since about 8:00. The sun is shining brightly and the temperature is 38 degrees. This office is supposed to close at 12:00. Worst service ever with no information or updates about status
