Cafe On The Beach

I had the combination fish (red snapper)/ shrimp basket, my wife had the crab cakes, and our friend had the coconut shrimp. All of it delicious. The tarter sauce wasn't my favorite but that happens some times. We'll be back.

Small cafe attached to the back of the hotel, too dog friendly, nuisance birds, coffee served in a paper cup.

The food was delicious. Eggs and hash browns well prepared.

Six tables 4, two tables 2, six stools at the bar. 25 total seats. They could handle a group of ten, but definitely call ahead.

Good view. Service was good and the food was excellent. "Beachcomber Breakfast" received a 5/5 rating. The pancakes are homemade and soft. "The Crab Cake Benedict" also received a 5/5 rating and was amazing. Additionally, the OJ mimosa was great.

1st time having breakfast at The Cafe on the Beach. Have to say everything was delicious with the quality of fresh ingredients and up to the 100% Maple Syrup. Everything just hit the spot. Definitely a returning customer.

Wonderful food and staff. Enjoyed a cigar on the deck after a meal. Enough space to step away from the dining area.
Might try staying at the Palms on my next visit.
The birds are persistent but can be warded off!

We stopped by for Thanksgiving breakfast! We had about a 10 min wait for 3 adults. We truly enjoyed all of the breakfast items we had. Just be aware they do allow dogs inside and the birds are very aggressive, but if you don’t mind either of those two details, you will enjoy some good food with pretty views.

Food was pretty solid. Located right on the beach. You can literally watch the waves and have a Bloody Mary for breakfast. Service was great, beautiful location.

If you’re out on the island of South Padre and get hungry, you owe it to yourself to have breakfast lunch and dinner at Café on the beach!

Lovely beach restaurant with great food and views! I had the coconut shrimp which was delicious. I went for lunch. The scenery overlooking the beach is spectacular. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. Would recommend this place. I've also visited here a little over a year ago and had brunch and was very pleased with my meal then as well.

This Cafe is located behind Palms Resort. It has a full bar and a great view of the ocean.

My husband and I went about three weeks ago and sat at the bar. The service was excellent! I'm sure we'll be back. He tried the Irish and Mexican coffee, and both were good. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese Omelette. There was SO MUCH bacon!

Nice beachfront cafe. The sun was rising and very strong, but there were umbrellas and covered areas that made dining al fresco a pleasure. Beautiful view of the dunes and ocean. Very nice. My malted pancakes with berries was delish!

It has a very good ambience and the food is awesome! If you are looking for a cozy place to chill, this restaurant is for you.

Ordered shrimp skewers entree and blackened mahi entree. They were both absolutely perfect! They both included a small Caesar's salad and a warm dinner roll. The grilled zucchini was wonderful. Shared a piece of the best key lime pie. It was very light and fluffy! Service was great!

World class seafood and a great location overlooking the beach and the ocean.

Mid-priced and worth every dollar. The fried shrimp and fried red snapper are terrific - and their fresh made in house potato chips are also so very tasty.

Cute little place on the beach. Heaters kept it warm even in December. Excellent service and an awesome menu of modern drinks (martinis and such). Fried seafood had a unique but delicious batter and I drooled over others plates that passed bye. Will definitely be coming back!

This is a lovely place to enjoy a meal with views of the beach. We came for breakfast and had a yummy breakfast taco and plate of pancakes, bacon, & eggs. Food was pretty good, but the atmosphere was the best we experienced for restaurants on South Padre.

Great food and wonderful atmosphere! It's cute and small, but big on good tasting food right on the beach! We loved hearing the waves while we enjoyed our breakfast! Good place to eat, to start your day!

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast on Valentines Day. Service was great. It is an open air restaurant and was a bit cool that morning, but sat under a heater. Only reason for the 4 rating on atmosphere.
