I love Point yeah its rustic and we have a young bunch in our governing seats of office but in no way are they taking any monies legally from our city ,they are attempting to bring our city up

Slow down. Yes there's a 4way stop sign, yes I have gotten a ticket( I was going to fast). Back the blue. There doing a JOB YOU WON'T DO. OH NO BODY'S PERFECT. WE ALL GRIPE ABOUT THE POLICE BUT WE AREN'T IN THERE PLACE. TEXAS ROCKS

I got a ticket. I deserved it.
They worked with me to get it taken care of. They are so courteous and helpful.
They even help me find a plumber' s phone number today. I love my small town people.

City of Point is a poor, run down city and their only source of revenue is brought in through speeding citations. I received a citation in the speed trap "downtown," and the 30ish year old Caucasian officer with a beard proceeded to question me on why I was in Texas as if that matters. I don't understand why the speeding citations are outrageously expensive, but I do believe that Mayor, City Council and Police Chief are funneling the money into their own pockets because this "city" is a complete dump and wasteland.

I was pulled over by a Point City police office and the 1st thing he said was; " I bet you are wondering why I pulled you over?". With a start like that I knew that I was going to get a citation. Little did I realize what a hassle this would result in. When I called to court to ask what the fine would be I was told that for an additional fee the court would not report my violation to the state. I paid the additional fee and now that my 90 day waiting period is up they won't answer my call. Avoid Point, TX on Hy 69.

This towns police department is crooked. Pulled me over and claimed I was speeding. Not true. I have had speeding tickets before and paid them because I was guilty. Not this time. Not guilty. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. I will get this dismissed if it costs 3 times as much as paying the ticket. Shameful actions. And they knew it. Going out on social media and everywhere else I can post it. So disappointed in these officers.

These police officers are the worst of its kind. They are not working for safety and for its people. They are pulling citizens money out of their pockets to generate some sort of revenue ploy they have. Got pulled over for "disregarding" their one stop sign and not "stopping long enough". Carl Good is the hallmark of what cops not fighting crime, but fighting for money. He pulled me over knowing he saw my out of town license plate, so knew I could never come in person to contest.
Avoid this town at at all costs!! Police sit at their one stop sign by the gas station and pull people over as a cash cow.

All the reviews are the truth. Distorting out of state travelers with BS tickets. FULLY stopped at a big intersection and was pulled over with a failed to stop at designated point at stop sign citation.. Small town and these cops have nothing else better to do..

Attorney General Ken Paxton please help. There is a traffic ticket racket going on in the small city of Point. There is erosive effects on community policing in Rains County as a result. This is a corrupt police department, robbing citizens with large fines for bogus traffic violations. Not a good look for the state of Texas in the eyes of out of town travelers. Citizens beware - this is not a safe place to travel, you will be pulled over and fined $200+ for the most insignificant thing imaginable.

My 77 year old mother got a ticket here for her tires going over the white line by Mr. tattoo officer! REALLY, yOu people are as crooked as they come & another perfect example of how government is NOT for the people. Your day is coming......

Avoid this place, Barney Fife is waiting for you. Wrote me a ticket for "disregarding stop sign". Nice little racket they've got going here. I guess if you can't attract money the old fashioned way, just extort it from passers by.

These guys are scammers. They need to be investigated by the FBI for bribery and false charges. I plan on contacting the Texas attorney general and file my own lawsuit against false charges. Please try to avoid at all costs

Allow drug addicts to snitch and stay on streets stealing good people things. Attempted to search my house without a warrant. Crooked cops and a leech town

Entire town is one big speed trap con operation to make revenue. Avoid spending money here or avoid the town in total if possible.

I loved in point it was a small town nice but the cops suck and there are too many druggies over there had to get out

Couldnt find my ticket on record for 6 yrs now getting payment request from them to pay and no one is ever in the office to pick up

Cop math: 29 days = "two whole months". Too many Cs in high school?
