A dining experience that pleases the senses.

This is the establishment that provides a very positive experience to your senses while dining. There is the pleasure of dining en plein air and viewing the stars and moon.

The background music was played at a volume that can be heard and enjoyed but not interfere with conversation.

You have the choice of an inside table, outside under covering, and outside under the stars providing a feeling of comfort.

The aroma of the dishes are only surpassed by the delicious arrival of the food on your taste buds.

Service is as good as you will encounter in any restaurant in East Texas.

Ryan is a true mixologist and will prepare libations you will only enjoy at The Cottage.

Cameron was fantastic in ensuring our dining experience was one we desire to repeat as quickly as possible. When the evening turned cool the heater at our outside table kept us comfortable.

In addition Sharese made the rounds to supplement Cameron whenever necessary. Obtaining fresh silverware after our first course was not expected but highly appreciated.

And now to the important review of the menu selections we consumed on our first visit.

The dinner started out with Ryan’s Smokehouse Martini which was prepared at our table under the stars. A delightful start to settle back and view the menu selections.

My wife decided and throughly enjoyed the Stuffed Mushrooms and I just had to test out the Shrimp Cocktail. I was happy with the beautiful deveined tasty Shrimp accompanied with a Cocktail Sauce with the proper amount of Horseradish to give it a little kick.

Two glasses of the House Chardonnay were enjoyed with the appetizers.

For our entrée my wife was very satisfied with the Ribeye Steak prepared medium rare.

I decided on the Tenderloin Steak, medium rare plus, which I have to state was one of the best steaks I have consumed anywhere. I could have ordered another one but a man has to know his limitations.

The steaks were devoured with a recommended bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon named No Fine Print; very nice and reasonably priced.

We slowed down but gave in to sharing a slice of Cheesecake with coffee.

And for the Pièces de Résistance we could not resist the yet to be named Ryan’s Special cocktail. This was a very tasty and delightful creation of Ryan that is looking for a name.

My suggestion is that it should be entitled Le Martini des Rois, ( The Martini of Kings ).

In conclusion this unique restaurant in Nacogdoches would have no problem in being highly successful in the dining capitals of our Country. Sort of felt like I was back in New Orleans satisfying my special taste buds.

My wife and I will be regulars into the future.

Do note the place is with new owners and the name now is The Cottage Restaurant.

First time here. Went with 7 friends. Got appetizers , seabass and steaks which were all delicious. Had various cocktails recommended by the staff. We sat outside with a beautiful view of the landscape. Highly recommend for a unique dining experience.

We were searching for a nice place to have a rehearsal dinner & a co-worker recommended The Cottage. Boy am I glad that she did! We went to try the food & talk with the owners on pricing for something like that. She sat with me on the phone & went over many things. So we took the 3 hour drive to try the food & drinks & they did not disappoint!

We had the Cosmoplitan, Smoked Old Fashioned & the Smoky Rita. The Cosmo… delish & my boys loved the old fashioned!

Our appetizers were the stuffed mushrooms, caprese bites & the spinach artichoke dip. All were fantastic but that spinach artichoke dip… outta this world delish!

Our meals were the tenderloin, smothered chicken, pork chop & steakhouse sandwich. The steakhouse sandwich blew our minds!! So delicious. Huge chicken breast portion for the smothered chicken. Pork chop was a tad dry, but pork is tough to cook without being dry. Filet was cooked perfectly.

Ella was our server & had the best suggestions & made our visit so wonderful!! We loved the jazz music playing softly in the background. It was not too loud that we couldn’t have a conversation between the four of us but loud enough to enjoy in the atmosphere! We highly recommend this restaurant!

I cannot express how wonderful the cottage is. Just celebrated my anniversary here, and when I say that it couldn’t have been better, I mean it. Kelsey and Stephen were the best and so kind and wonderful to my husband and I, and our family and friends. It meant so much for us to have our event there, and such delicious food — omg!

Anytime we are in town, all my family and friends head there. Run, don’t walk and book your next event at the cottage!

The new owners have outdone themselves! Just weeks into their operation the food and service are beyond expectations! Sharese and Lorelei we so inviting and did so much more than just serve excellent food…they made the experience worthy of making this a new favorite and one of the best dining experiences in Nacogdoches! We can hardly wait for nice weather to enjoy their awesome outdoor garden seating! We will visit often.

We went for drinks and appetizers on a Saturday night and had a great night out. Sharese is the most attentive and sweet waiter and Ryan is an amazing mixologist! When you go be sure to have Ryan prepare Sharese’s favorite cordial! It’s a shared drink and it’s better than having dessert!!! or you can tell Ryan what you enjoy drinking and he will craft a Ryan’s special drink just right for you.

We enjoyed the food and our waitress was very attentive and polite. The area for improvement we experienced was the length of time it took to get our food. Especially the appetizer. Overall a nice experience and we will probably go back again.

Nice place and good food but terrible wine portions. Barely 4oz. About 3 sips. Not worth the price. Very disappointing.
