A gem in downtown Nac!! Lovely shop that can help you find what you are looking for. The owner is very knowledgeable about books, writing, music and life in general!

Such a unique place to visit when coming to downtown Nacogdoches. Lots of things to look at and a GREAT t-shirt collection, if you enjoy collecting those. The owners are also very kind and intentional!

I visited The Bosslight bookstore in Nacogdoches this afternoon. I enjoyed browsing small but thoughtful selections which were a mix of regional and well-known authors, as well as some classics. I picked up three books (one of which I have been interested in for a year since it was recommended as a readalike of a book I love).After I left I purchased the Kindle version of the first book in a series by a new-to-me author who was recommended to me by the shop owner, Tim Bryant.

Great store, great products even better people! I implore everyone to check this place out on their way through Nacogdoches, Tim and Annie have built a business that feels less like a store and more like a pillar of the community. Great book selection, interesting antiques and works from local artists what more do need? If you really want to experience Nacogdoches visit boss light, this community has a lot to offer and they are more than willing to share

Very cool junking place, in addition to books! The name has changed, but still a “must visit” store.

The poetry reading here was so much fun! This place is a great spot for bookworms to hang out.

The Bosslight is an amazing local bookstore! They have a great selection of fiction, non-fiction, children’s titles, locally-written books, and more. They are also able to order most books if they don’t happen to have something in stock.
I’m a student at SFA and was delighted to hear that they offer a 10% off student discount. I just ordered a book and it arrived in a timely manner on the estimated day.
There is also a selection of antiques in the same building at Auntie-Q’s along with a mini “general store” that features locally-made pickles and other goodies. If you’re shopping for gifts, this is a great place to check out.
If you’re just passing through, or a local who wants to support small businesses, you’ve got to stop by. The owners are awesome folks who are very friendly and happy to answer any questions as well.

We were in Nacogdoches over spring break and my 12 yr old was the navigator of all fun things in town. We loved the bookstore and the tee shirts. The owners were so cordial and informative.... it is a must see and visit place.

Great local shop. Local art, crafts, and a curated bookstore. The manager, Tim, is a very personable, intelligent, and knowledgeable man. Very friendly and does everything he can to make sure you do not come away from a visit to the store with a bad experience. It truly is a Local Culture Store.

This is probably the most unique bookstore I've ever been to. I left the store with two Lansdale novels (definitely a fan, and I love to support good Texas authors) and a Big Lebowski door hanger. The proprietor of this store was very friendly! An all-around great experience for any book lovers and those who are geeky.

We visited this shop back in june 2022 and from the moment we walked in the door my eye just lit up and then we met the stuff/owner and as soon as the worded out we were from Australia the banter started we feel such at home and a hour later qe finally left the store and yes we did buy a few things to bring home

Owner ordered all the books I needed and as a student at Stephen f. Austin I was able to get a discount. Owner is nice and friendly and alot of local artists and writers sell their work here.

Bosslight books is one of those places that you want to sit for hours and talk. Amazing art on the walls, fulfilling conversation and to top it all off amazing selection of books. Tim is the owner and he is down to earth, friendly and a great artist himself. Buy Constilations By Tim Bryant while you are there.. 😉

My husband and I stopped by while waiting to meet our daughter for lunch, and our experience made us glad she was delayed. The distinguished gentleman who greeted me was friendly, helpful, and informative. Come to find out he and his wife Jean, who was also there, run the bookstore on Wednesdays so the owner, Tim Bryant, their son and a published author/musician, can dedicate that day to writing, music, etc... We perused books written by Tim himself in addition to other local writers. What a unique ambiance- an actual author who owns an eclectic, interesting bookstore and is also involved in the local music scene! Best part, Tim is tapping into the wealth of knowledge his parents can impart while they assist his visitors, customers, & patrons. My daughter and son-in-law plan on visiting Bosslight soon, and we will definitely go back every time we visit Nacogdoches!!! Don’t miss it!!!

Stopped in this bookstore during a road trip through East Texas, and it was one of my favorite spots! The owner, Tim, is very friendly and can offer recommendations for good books AND local taco places.

One can EVEN Purchase one of his many Novels & He will Gladly Autograph it to You, PLUS; You can Get Your Photo made with Your Personally Autographed book of his with The Author Himself!!! This ALONE; Totally worth visiting here.

We worth a visit. In downtown Nacogdoches. I love books. Also features artwork done by locals. Woodwork and paintings. There are benches all over if you want to be outside. Great location. Staff are kind and helpful.

Great place to stock up on some classics you should've read, and to find some new must-reads, as well. This store also has the largest selection of Joe Lansdale works anywhere. Of this I am certain.
