Nice historic area to go for a walk and browse the shops/restaurants. Lots of antique stores are in the area that close early or only open certain days of the week.

So many interesting places to visit.
You really need to go inside. So much history.
No matter how many times I come, I always notice something else to learn.

Great museum for the town. All exhibits are well presented. Be sure to catch the short video shown on the lower level. Our hour long visit was well worth it. Enriched our stay in Nacogdoches.

This is a mini-museum about the history of Nacogdoches. The displays are interesting and show lots of information about the area. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. They suggested several places to visit in the area and each of their ideas was worth the trip.

You can spend 5 minutes here and just talk to the staff. Or you can spend hours here looking at the displays. Either way it is worth the trip.

We stopped at the Nacogdoches Convention Center looking just for a brochure, and we found many. We also met very friendly people, apparently devoted to sharing Nacogdoches history and help with anything we could need or want to do when in the city. Nice informative displays, very clean and well organized place.

Stopped here for a quick minute that turned into a leisurely afternoon spent walking through the town of Nacogdoches. We were educated on the history of the area and it's people by their well put together and presented exhibits and the informative lady at the desk. Ate some good food at the diner and met some pleasant people while in this nice to have visited town. See you next year Nacogdoches.

great place with some historical artifacts and pictures. i f you are a David Crockett enthusiast you will like their exhibit. If you are from there or have a relative that was you can buy a brick and have their name engraved on it and put in the sidewalk out front.

The friendly staff will help you figure out what's worth seeing during your time in town. They also have plenty of displays and artifacts about the Nac area, famous citizens, industries like oil and timber, and the NINE flags over Nac. The exterior of the building has nice landscaping and statues.

Finally made it in to this copious dwelling of information on this most wonderful and historical city in the Lone Star State; and the oldest city in Texas to boot.

In the process of studying about my new home and seeking to learn the streets, the county aka parish, and more on the history of Nacodgoches this is the place to be.

This should be your first stop to obtain the information and some very good advice on where to increase your knowledge and enjoyment of this historical area of Texas.

Might not have been my first stop but I will be back for more.

JoAnna and Ashley are so knowledgeable and so very helpful for anything you may need. In addition there are so many items of information to obtain at no cost.

Free parking just in front of the building or anywhere in downtown Nacogdoches. No meter maids is another major plus in this friendly and historical place to live.

Lots of great information about the town & county of Nacogdoches. Interesting exhibits, gentleman at the desk was very informative and helpful. Found several pamphlets about things to do, and places to eat, and upcoming events.

Young guides host this history-rich location, which features a downstairs interactive area. You don't want to miss this place. Friendly folks everywhere (even ran into an elder Navy veteran on my way out- that had built the bowling alley in Puerto Rico where was in a league on base, some 20 years later).

Very informative...Cool displays of historical things from the town. Since Nacogdoches is the oldest established town in Texas, there's a lot of history. The gentleman there was full of great information.

They were very helpful and needed at the time. Only problem is that the map of the local area is NOT accurate! I tried finding a church in the area off of FM1878 and found that it didn't connect as shown on the map! We had to figure it out as we drove! Don't trust the map! Sorry I had to be the bearer of bad news.
