This school was wonderful to me, and gave me most of the skills and knowledge I needed for my college career.

This school has given me and my son both nothing but trouble. My son, who is of African american / mixed decent, was called the n word by 2 staff members, who both were female, and several students have made fun of his appearance.

My son is a straight A student, rarely ever gets into trouble, and is always on his best behavior when we're in public. When I have to confront my son after seeing bloody razor blades in the sink, and blood stains all over his sheets, you don't realize how hard it is for a single parent like me to help him. He has been to several counselors since his battle with severe depression, (which by the way all started when he began attending Ripley High School in his junior year, 1 year ago) and all of them tell him to ignore the bullies and tell an adult. Well it's hard to tell an adult or staff member when they too are the bullies.

This school is the lowest I have ever experienced. My oldest daughter, Michelle, graduated from Ripley High School last year. Even though it was her last year in schooling, she still experienced bullying about her weight, (she is not overweight I might add), and appearance. She has told me on several occasions that Ripley High School ruined her senior year experience. To add fuel to the fire, she was not allowed to walk the stage on graduation night because of her 2 unexcused absences, 1 of which being my mothers funeral. I was furious, but at the time more sad for Michelle than anything. We had to go out and celebrate ourselves, and I could tell she was not having fun the entire time. I try my best to keep my kids happy, but this school is doing just the opposite.

It's not just me either. I know several other parents who have pulled their kids out of Ripley High since last year, and moved to nearby schools in Jackson County. The parents said it was the best decision they made for their children. I of course am too late, and my son will have to suffer through the rest of the school year until he can get the 27 credits mandatory to pass. He has been doing after school activities, (Plato, tutoring, etc.) to make up for the lost credits that were not mandatory at our previous school in Kentucky. If you want your child to be respected, have a reachable goal, and possibly not be scarred for life, consider another school.

This is the kind of school where grading completely depends on how much teachers like you. It is also the kind of school where they accept staff who lie about state law to strong-arm students to say the pledge of allegiance. If you look into state law, students are not required to say the pledge if they do not wish. The school just does not like anyone who is not christian. I have also encountered teachers who not only do not know their subject, but have taught false information. They have also failed to teach reading to a majority of their students, seeing as most of them read at a 3rd grade level in high school. I would recommend any other school than this piece of trash.

This school is rubbish because it discriminates against video games, the teachers strike instead of teaching, bathroom doors have no functional locks, and whenever students do not behave according to the standards of the highly presumptuous staff, they are put on a concentration camp style schedule known as B-schedule. The only factor which provides a single star is the over-restricted and privacy invasive MacBooks provided by our corporate overlord Apple.

This a survival story. Before I begin I must let you know I worked for the school as a janitor. It began one Monday morning during summer break for the kids when I was told to clean out the boys locker room. Well I opened the door and went inside it smelled like someone had killed a rat and dutch ovened the entire room. Sick at my stomach I went to open a door and realized it was locked. I freaked out and tried to find a way out after I exhausted my self by looking for a way out I began to get hungry. I searched my pocket and began eating a candy bar I then drifted off to sleep end of day one.

Day 2- Woke up had to use the bathroom. All the bathrooms were trash so I did my business in a locker. I waited for someone to return and help me. No one came.

Day 3- I had plenty of water because of the water fountain but no food. I looked around and found some Gatorade but I needed solid food. I found urinal cakes and started to eat them.

Day 4- Started to go crazy I picked up a football named it Greg and began to talk to it.

Day 5- Me and Greg chilled out and ate urinal cakes.

Day 6- Greg wasnt a football he was a dead rat hallucinated the whole thing.

Day 7- Out of urinal cakes began to munch on Greg.

Day 8- I heard someone outside yelled for their help and they opened the door and let me out.

Day 9- Quit my job for obvious reasons.

The staff at this school didn't find me for eight days don't trust them with your children.

My son successfully infiltrated the Ripley Highschool heirarchy. He then relayed back to me the information that there are three principals that run the whole school. So my son made friends with them. This is where things start to unravel. He caught the head principal eating a cricket. At first glance you might think the man as a fan of Man Vs Wild. If you thought this you thought wrong, the leader of the "principals" is in fact a shape shifting lizard person who works for the illuminati elite. Wake up sheeple three principals three sides of the illuminati pyramid coincidence I think not. The "principals" gather at the library with their mother lizard, she is called the Great Librarian Lizard General. Of course my son had to hide behind the book shelves to acquire such knowledge. They use the money off over due library books to fund the New World Order. Wake up sheeple!

This school was recently investigated by my local news station to have extremely racist staff, and the lowest GPA in West Virginia. A student also recorded a teacher watching pornography during a lunch break, and got suspended for recording it (allegedly). Thank god I dodged a bullet after doing the research.

The school creates a lot of traffic when I go for my afternoon Sheetz run.
