This is a really beautiful campground with nice tall pines, super friendly and helpful staff, and lovely pool and club house. It was pretty quiet during the week and the weekend picked up the energy. Really great stay, highly recommend!

Amazing rustic camp!
CampOut Alabama is a beautiful relaxing retreat. Steve and Brandon host an amazing campground. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. This is a great place to go if you want to experience the beauty of South Alabama. The pool, hot tub, and clubhouse are very clean. We stayed for 4 days in our 44' Montana camper. For RVs: the hook ups were great. The water is awesome and they had plenty of power. The camp is down a hard/ sandy dirt road and some of the turns are kinda tight for big rigs.

Please give this place a try if you want to camp out in nature! Everyone there shows true southern hospitality! We will be back for some fun.

I have been frequenting this campground either as a transient or permanent site-renter for many years under three sets of owners. IMHO and by far, the current owners have done the best job. Steve and Brandon (the on-site management team) go beyond expectations to assist all guests. The owners, while they do live out of the area, have the best managment team in place and they very much deserve credit for that. The facilities, while not the newest, are maintained very well and kept clean. When I read the criticisms posted on this website, I just have to laugh. Now that the campground is experiencing renewed popularity, visitors and guests hopefully realize this is a RUSTIC campground, off the beaten path. It is not a RESORT in that the site is wooded, so it is going to be dark at night. The pool is going to be cold because the well water supplying it is cold! Internet service is sometimes spotty because the campground sits in a valley! Who wants to be tied to the internet when camping anyway? Get your face out of your phone for a minute. Pull thru sites are tight because trees have been preserved, not clear cut. I don't think the owners are cheap as one commenter posted. But I imagine they have a budget and when something unexpectedly breaks down, like the hot tub, it takes a little time to get it fixed and figure how NOT to break that budget when doing so. In any case, the negative comments are a miniscule minority. The positive comments vastly outnmber the negative. Decide for yourself, and don't rely too heavily on other's opinions.

To say that we are thankful to have found an all-male and gay friendly place to make friends, enjoy the weather, and be in nature, would be a severe understatement. This was an amazing night and weekend 🌈

Just spent NYE weekend at CampOut Alabama and we had a blast. The owners and fellow campers are so nice, welcoming and fun to be around. I am not an experienced camper but CampOut has something for everyone, tent sites, camper sites, private cabin suites and a bunkhouse with big comfortable new beds! The grounds are beautiful and private with tons to explore including a creek and pond. The large clubhouse was decorated so nicely with comfortable lounging areas near the fireplace and hot tub! The rest of the facilities like the showers are bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. We are already looking forward to coming back in the Summer to lay by the pool!

Just got back from a 2 night stay at Campout, the pool and clubhouse were a great attraction . The room was great and had very nice layout, the gounds are a work in progress but it will take time.
Matt and Jason are doing a great job resurrecting a rundown campground and trying to make it a place for people to come be themselves. Thank you for a good time and we will see you again to see what you have done.

This is a good gay campground. It's heavily wooded and has large sites. There's a pool (unheated) and a hottub. Clothing optional with a well thought out "adult activity building"

This place is crazy fun. We just left after our first visit and definitely plan on coming back many times. The new owners Matt and Jason are so friendly and welcoming to everyone who comes to camp and visit. They did an amazing job fixing up the camp and were constantly making sure everyone was having a fun time. The camping sites, restrooms, pool, and hot tub were very clean and well-kept. Whether for a day visit or weekend, we highly recommend CampOut Alabama.

I needed a quick get away from life. I made a quick reservation. Hubby and i greated quickly along with another new guest.
We stayed in the Luxury Camper. It was worth it. Comphy and cozy. I slept like a rock.
Other members, were very friendly and made us feel like Family. It was chilly so clthes remained on.
We walked the geounds and a short trail. I really was able to reconnect with my soul, usually only the beach does for me .
We have reservations for us and friends in July. However i dont think i will wait that long to visit again.

Wonderful campground! Large sites. The on-sight managers Brandon and his cohert work tirelessly, seemingly 24/7 to make sure everyone has a great time! Immaculately clean! They are super nice and have big hearts. Nice pool and hot tub. Nice location. I drove 13 hours to come here for 8 days; well worth the drive! Town is within a 10 minute drive if you forgot anything. I will return!! Thanks for an awesome week+!

We enjoy the friendly staff and have met many fellow campers each time we visit. The shaded campsites are ample and make for a relaxing experience.

The hosts are exceptional. I needed to know if the campground and trails were wheelchair accessible with a helper. They went a step beyond just telling me the conditions and history, they invited me to see for myself and gave me a tour of the camp so I could see and decide for myself.
Unfortunately a sick kid nixed our trip but I made it for a day pass myself.
The facilities are in good condition and the camp has a rustic feel.
Kudos to you.

I absolutely love this place! The bath house is very clean and newly remodeled, the pool and hot tub are amazing. The clubhouse has wifi and has a cozy comforting feeling where you can watch TV and enjoy the potluck on Saturdays. They have laundry on site and everyone was so sweet and friendly. I can't wait to go back 🥰

We had our camper here for two months and loved it! Steve and Brandon work really hard to maintain the facilities and make sure everyone has a great stay. The pool is great and there is WiFi at the clubhouse that worked well enough to allow me to work during the weekdays. The local town Geneva has the basics for groceries, hardware, and a few restaurants. We will definitely be back some day!

I found out about this place because a friend was traveling cross-country and he got invited by friends he met along the way. When I showed up, it was just the sort of thing I was hoping for. Plenty of woods and trees so that it doesn't feel like a trailer park, friendly staff, plenty of room in the camping spot. The club house and the bath house were clean and well-tended. The other folks who were staying made me feel welcome right away. My phone was out of range, but wifi was available near the pool (I'm happy being out of touch). I highly recommend this gay clothing optional campground. I'll definitely be back.

Spent 4 days there for the 4th of July weekend. The campground is very well maintained. The pool and clubhouse was very nice and extremely clean. Watching the owners, I could tell they really cared that their guests had a great time. I think that within a few years this place will rate up there with Oz and The Rivers Edge. I’ll for sure be back. Two thumbs up!!!!

Always had a great time but I hear cameras posted everywhere now and for what reason? Guests are not told ? Manager Steve watches in his trailer? Why is this spying going on?
We go there for privacy and fun not to be watched. Can we get an answer from the owners? I love this place but cameras ! No way
At the hot tub and pool ? Where else ?
Jason ? We would all like to know why and where the cams are located.
