Ming Shee

Really nice takeout restaurant or a place to eat for a quick lunch. Food was plated rather quickly and prices were low for lunchtime. I believe it was $7.99 per dish at lunchtime, this includes a drink from the soda machine. Each dish at lunchtime consisted of a main entree, fried rice, egg roll, crab rangoon, and a drink.

I’ll be honest, we’ve only done carry out here, BUT, carry out area is always clean with ample sauces/items for take out needs, the good? Really the best Asian restaurant this side of the river…great portion sizes yes…ample choices, yes, taste, YES! Hard to find fried won-ton is a favorite app…reheats well too!

So far this place is the best chinese food spot we've found since moving here. We recently moved here from Las Vegas and were craving chinese food. Most of the places in Peoria were bland and not very good. This is the 4th place we've tried and finally! Decent chinese food with flavour. We've been back three times now and not disappointed. It hits the spot when craving old fashion greasy chinese food.

Ming Shee is good. Ming Shee is delicious. Ming Shee is a must try.

In my quest to try any and all ‘hole in the wall’ Chinese restaurants, I convinced my friends to come to Ming Shee’s for lunch one day. One of my friends had been here before and vouched for the deliciousness. Another friend and I were first timers. So off to get food we go.

The locale is off of fairly busy University street, so it’s an easy place to access. Upon getting there, we were greeted by a lovely staff who sat up promptly. The interior decor was pretty cool. It is more than your typical ‘order and leave’ place that has 3 tables. They do have carry out, but this is more restaurant-like. So the interior is more spruced up and has a lot of Chinese charm to it.

We ordered our food and it came out fairly quick. I got your plain chicken fried rice and it was pretty dang good. My tastes have expanded since visiting here, so I am curious to try their General Tso’s some day! I think they also had beer available, but I am not 100% sure on that.

But, all-in-all, it was a pleasant lunch with friends and good food. What more could someone want?

Perfect small town Chinese food my mother and I have been coming here since I was 10 and I am now 30+ and there are few places I would recommend more than Ming Shee.

Best place in Peoria. I have had only positive experiences in the last 10 years.

I have been a patron of Ming Shee since I was a child. They had a large restaurant at that time. I love their food. It is always fresh and perfect. I actually crave it at times. I wish they had delivery, from any service, because I would order them at least once a week.

Our family of six went to Ming Shee on a weekday evening for dinner. I had eaten there many years ago and the other 5 had never been there so we were not sure what to expect. Orders for dine in are placed at the counter. We ordered and seated ourselves in the dining room. The meals were served in about 10 minutes, delivered one by one and were steaming hot. Everyone commented that the food was very good and several said Ming Shee would now be there go to for Chinese. We may even switch to Ming Shee for our traditional Christmas eve Chinese dinner. The restaurant is very clean and well organized, prices are reasonable, the service was excellent and the food was very flavorful. Highly recommended for dine in or take out.

Typically take carry out, have tried alot on their menu. Everything is fantastic, never a complaint. We occasionally dine in, very clean and average inside. Wish it was cozier and they served alcohol inside, I'm use to that type of restaurant. Being from Chicago that is how all Chinese restaurants are, and you don't order at counter.

Ming Shee has a large and open dinning plan with a central buffet. I only regret that it would have been physically impossible for me to try everything. I'll have to visit several more times before starting again at the beginning.

The best egg foo young I've had ,egg rolls Crab Rangoon were good as well moderate prices very clean

Good, if not better. They know how to cook it up, Hong steak is to die for, two meals easy. Won Tongs are the bomb, best in town.

Hands down best Chinese in Peoria, and I have been actively looking. Do yourself a favor and come here. I recommend the Broccoli Chicken. Such a thick brown sauce.

My son got us lunch from Ming Shee yesterday. He ordered 3 full meals and some extras. Meals were great, and the portions were so generous that I needed to save part of mine to eat today!!! Our food was hot and delicious!!! My crab rangoon was the best I've ever had . Needless to say, we will definitely order from Ming Shee again, especially if they continue to have my all time favorite Pineapple chicken!!!!
