Tawas Bay Beach Resort & Conference Center

Rooms where average, but the views were absolutely stunning. The bar downstairs was amazing. We had fish some kind of apple cocktails and everything was to die for. The lighting, the view at night, it was the most romantic night of my life!! Would love to come back and enjoy it in the summer💚💚💚💚

I did not find a single thing wrong with this place. Very friendly and awesome amenities. I've never stayed in a place that had a drink window in the pool room AND arcade games. Restaurant can be a little pricey but super worth it for the quality of items you'll get. 10/10 would stay again

I was pretty disappointed this past summer 2023.
The Tawas Bay Beach Resort was sold & is now currently under new ownership.
They're great, not my issue.

They've managed to keep everything up to my comfort standards!
Except for:
The previous owners D&C.
Made it routine upkeep to be out on that beach, every morning of everyday, for the soul purpose of grooming the sand.
Rake on the back of a rider.

It's little, but it's huge.

Dead fish, seaweed, trash, feathers, bonfire debris, animal feces,& it all washes up to the shore. Still my favorite place, but let my kids bury each other in the sand.
I think not!

We reserved the banquet room for our daughter's wedding. Sheryl was great to work with. The banquet room was set up beautifully and the food was excellent!! The staff was very helpful and the wedding went wonderfully!! Thank you for making this a great day, especially with this short of notice. Appreciate all your help and the time you took with us. Highly recommend this establishment!!

Didn’t stay in the hotel, but the service at the bar was nice, drinks were good, karaoke was fun as well.
Would certainly go back, but would probably get a room next time.

I had my wedding at the Tawas Bay Beach Resort this summer, and I seriously cannot recommend a venue enough. We have gotten SO many compliments on our wedding and venue. Many of our guests traveled into Tawas for the weekend, they loved the resort and the proximity to the beach and shopping and restaurants. The event itself was gorgeous- we had our ceremony on the beach and our reception in the indoor reception area. Everything was so much fun and so well managed by the beach resort staff! The food was incredible, the event space was the perfect size for our wedding (around 150 guests), the bar service was seriously the best I've ever seen at a wedding. The bartender was friendly, energetic, fast and responsive- he seemed to somehow remember what everyone was drinking and was so nice and funny with all of our guests. Our guests also loved the accommodations at the hotel- everyone had great experiences with their rooms and we got a ton of compliments on how convenient it was that everything was in the same place. I really feel like choosing the Tawas Bay Beach Resort as our venue was the best decision we possibly could have made for our wedding, and they did so much to make the event unforgettable. I cannot recommend them enough as a wedding venue!!!

My husband and I were here for the 4th of July. It was more lively the night of the 3rd but it was still a lot of fun. The room was clean and the air conditioning and plumbing worked great. The beach front view was gorgeous. There was nightly entertainment but you don't have to sit in the bar area to hear and enjoy the music. My husband ordered a couple of cocktails from the bar that were perfect. Every reaction we had with the staff was friendly and welcoming. A warm and clean beach. Walking distance to literally anything you need and a cute little downtown area. We also felt very safe walking around. We can't wait to go back!

The Check-in and check-out process was very quick and easy. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor bar which offered Nightly entertainment from the live band outdoors to a DJ who played indoors. The restaurant was great as well! Everyone working here was personable and extremely accommodating. Fun little place to hang out with family and friends or to getaway to relax for a couple of days. We are looking forward to coming here again. Thanks everyone!

Had a formal event there, they didn't absolutely wonderful job! The updates they meet with a bank room and the chandeliers are beautiful. Wonderful wait staff. Food was okay. I've been eating there for over 30 years and I've had better, but the event was pretty big. Kudos to the new owners. The place looks wonderful.

Had a great time at a community meet and greet for Develop Iosco. Food was amazing and staff was friendly and helpful.

I had a great experience while here for a work event (4 nights total). Staff was friendly and efficient, the room had everything I needed, and you can't beat the view of the water from the room and in the restaurant (all menu items I tried were great). Coffee/tea bar was well stocked and everything was clean. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Tawas Bay Beach Resort! I was really impressed with the value of what we received. There is a beach area, live music, dancing, a heated pool, and a jacuzzi. And the price for all of this was excellent. Plus you can't go wrong with the gorgeous location around Lake Huron. It's not high scale bougie, but it's nice for a great price!

Stayed here for work had semi parking on the side and rooms were clean. Will return

This is best bang for your buck, me and my buddies had a camping trip planned up in Manistee which was called off early due to weather we decided to book here and it was the best experience. We did have one issue with our toilet not flushing but they made sure to make it right and we were immediately moved to a different suite. The indoor pool is amazing and so is the area I highly recommend the Chinese restaurant a block or so down the road.

Was awesomecto stay here Fri-Sat before Memorial Day. Great place on the water Tiki Bar on the beach is fantastic, and the lounge inside is great for evening time. Only draw back was you must eat dinner by 9 at the restaurant there.
Was advice we could sit in lounge and get dinner till 10. Not the case🤷‍♂ it was 9. But they did have pizza, which was really good. Me and Chris, well, for sure, be back

This is our first time here and we have been completely blown away with Debbie at the front desk. She is so incredibly kind, warm, and very accommodating. I am disabled and was not able to rent the only room available on the second floor and Debbie was able to get us into a first floor room. This resort is SUPER clean, smells fresh, and our room is super clean. THANK YOU DEBBIE FOR BEING SO KIND TO ME!

We had to stay at the beach resort for an impromptu night. It was a lovely stay under the circumstances we were in. The hotel was clean, pool area nice and lovely bar with good food. I want to express the front desk lady working morning shift on Sunday February 5th and Monday 6th, 2023 was amazing. I cannot express how much she accommodated our stay. It is really refreshing to know that there are people who care. This is not to say that the rest of the staff aren't fantastic, we just had the most encounter with her and an awesome gentleman that also assisted us when we were in a bind. Thanks again!!

The restaurant is what I'm reviewing! Haven't stayed at hotel yet. The restaurant is super pretty with the beautiful views and gorgeous wood tables with beautiful stained glass on the sections. This is a great spot for a date night or family dinner. The lake views are gorgeous and the food is tasty. Waitress was quick and very friendly and good at her job. The pretty view and easy listening music pair nicely for a great atmosphere.

I highly recommend staying here. My room was very clean, and all resort spaces were clean and updated. The beach was beautiful and nice and sandy. Lake is nice to swim in and you can’t beat the view. It was so convenient that there is a restaurant, lounge, and beach bar. You can charge to your room so you don’t need to carry your wallet with you anywhere. You can even order drinks at the pool- there is a service window to the bar/lounge. The pool was warm so you can jump right in and hot tub was nice to relax in. The resort is right in town so you are walking distance to everything. Family friendly. Food was good. Drinks were good. Staff was friendly. I will definitely come back again.

Very good overall, we will return again the lake view was amazing. No all available yet until it gets a little warmer outside and I'm sure it's even better. Will be back to stay when it is warmer this summer.
