Mooney's Ben Franklin

What a great store! I went here with my family and they seem to have a little bit of everything. The store was clean, the prices were decent, and the staff was very very helpful. If you are in the area, I recommend stopping by and checking things out. They also had nostalgia items that I haven’t seen since I was a child, which was a very long time ago. LOL. The down side was that they were only open until 6pm. That being said, a lot of other stores were only open until 6pm. Like I said, whether it’s your first time here or a full time resident, this is a great place to shop!

What an amazing family owned staple! This store sells EVERYTHING! Ariana was awesome at helping me find the perfect, unique gift for my 18 year old son. Highly recommended browsing the many isles and deals in this Michigan gem.

A great spot to stop and shop for gifts, trinkets, souvenirs, and so much more.

Still has that old-timey five and dime feel, but also a touch of unique gifts, as well as things that the tourists would like. A great place to find gifts and just about anything else!

Favorite store in Tawas. They have so many cute things I can't find elsewhere. Love the clothes. Beachwear, loungewear, hats, footwear, cool stuff! I also love their candles and garden decor! You cannot leave without buying SOMETHING! It's just fun!!!

Wonderful locally owned business with a great variety of merchandise. Fun kid’s items, puzzles, games, toys and more. Souvenirs, decorative household items, beach stuff and even hermit crabs! Must visit when in town.

Now this store right here, this is a hidden gym and I think the lady at the rite aid/Walgreens (can't which) down the street for recommending this to me for goggles. I went in looking for goggles and came out with magnets, beautiful rocks, and after having some fun playing shoot'em up (toy guns) with my girlfriend lol. This store has everything from antiques, to action figures, to seashells, crafted walking sticks, beach towels, sandals that are under $5 and if you buy one pair of you get one more for 1 cent. Really great deal and there's just so much going on in the store that I definitely will be back. They have a lot of old school stuff in there and you'll just have to go in to see. The main thing though, I could tell they were a hidden gym because they had goggles in a time where I could find none, even at the sporting goods store. They also we're open on Labor Day! Great store. I can't recommend it enough! 👍🏿👍🏿

So much to look at. This little jewel was across the street at a clothing store , and I bought an awesome sweatshirt. Downtown was so much fun with all the shops. And of course, we had to have fudge. Went to the city park and walked out on the docks to see all the big yachts.

What a neat store. Something for everyone. Very reasonably priced items.

Every lake town needs one of these!! They have everything new and nostalgic too. Both the kids and us parents loved it.

Ok, this is a blast from the past. A must see destination. Absolutely fantastic inventory not likely seen anywhere else. Places is packed with inventory and people. So much fun. Gifts. Toys and much more.

There are so many fun options, puzzles, toys, clothes, and home decor.

Our favorite road trip shopping destination. They have unique items and retro toys! We get a new wind spinner every year!

Every age group can enjoy Ben Franklin (Mooney's). Whoever orders their stock has a talent! Teenage girls have a nice selection of affordable jewelry to choose from. There are lots of toys that are "old fashioned" and hands on. There are Spartan and Wolverine items to buy. There is sweat shirts, hats, gloves, etc. Home and yard decorating item. Lots more to buy! It's worth the trip 👍

I cant go to Tawas without visiting Ben Franklins. I started going with my grandparentsas a child and now I take my own here. One of my favorite stores on this earth

This is one busy store! It would take hours to peruse this store. Lots of good things to check out. Good places for eating all around.

Awesome shop for odds and ends. Fun little souvenirs, toys and other cool things. Expansive game selection and TONS of puzzles. Spent more time here than I thought I would. They also have a huge selection of wind spinner/ornaments for your garden/lawn/landscaping out the back of the store. I wish more little stores like this existed! Keep doing what you are doing! One of the best stores downtown!
