Community Restaurant

Went to dinner last night at the Community. Fantastic food and service! Want to thank Jessica for being a great waitress and friendly conversation. My wife and I are definitely going back for the great Greek dining experience again.

Loved this spot. We came in just thirty minutes before they closed (got off our flight late) but the waiter and whole staff was incredibly friendly to us. The food was amazing and the drinks were great. Great welcoming atmosphere!

It was my first visit. Not sure why local friends had kept this a secret for 20 years when they know I like older restaurants with authentic food. The bar tender and waitress were very friendly and accommodating. I asked to ensure the calamari was fresh as listed, not frozen. Also confirmed it was lightly breaded and just barely cooked since I hate rubber bands! It was great with a good red sauce. Grilled salmon also very good with excellent spinach. Will certainly go back.

I've been traveling to work in Cortland quite a bit lately and I am so happy I stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. I'd have to say hands down, this is the best food in Cortland. You have to go to Syracuse to find anything close to this good. Last night I had the Ruben sandwich, Ceasar salad with gyro meat and they were both great... definitely one of the best Ruben sandwiches I have ever had. Tonight, I tried the blackened salmon on a bed of perfectly cooked sautéed spinach which had garlic and onion, asparagus and that was perfectly cooked as well. The falafel balls were perfect, nice crunchy texture, only thing that was missing was a nice hummus or tzatziki dipping sauce. The beet and goat cheese spinach salad was also amazing (even though they forgot to add any goat cheese to my salad) the dressing was perfect, lightly sweetened and perfectly seasoned. I will be returning tomorrow night to try the delmonico steak dinner.

WOW!!! This place was AWESOME! I dont know how to describe the feeling of a meal so great that you don't want it to end. The cocktails were good green beans phenomenal!!! The lemon roasted potatoes fabulous!! My steak was perfect!

1st time here. Won't be the last since we just dropped our daughter off at SUNY Cortland and we enjoyed it.

Really can't say anything bad. My worst experience here was with the drunken pork, which was delicious, just not a pork guy, unless it's bbq. Usually get the pot roast which is somehow the most delicious pot roast in the world. I ordered the seafood platter last visit cause they had a special with mac and cheese instead of pilaf. I don't care for pilaf, or seafood platters. I do like trying various items and a well made, homemade mac and cheese. It was really good. I was pleased and would honestly order it again, if I gave the option of mac over pilaf. My wife is always happy with hers, she tries a variety of dishes, her favorite is the lamb. In fact, she wasn't my wife until I proposed to her at Community just before Christmas. The waiter that last served us, remembered us from a previous visit, which is always a great feeling. I feel bad I can't remember his name but next time we get him, I'll properly introduce myself and take note of his name. Pleasant, kind, and courteous young man. He really made us feel like we have become a member of this community. Highly recommended! It's our favorite restaurant in town.

I think the highlight of this meal was Caitlyn who waited on us, she is an absolute gem! Everything we ordered was great calamari, lamb chops, pot roast, lasagna, chicken parm, etc. ….except for the stuffed mushrooms! When a menu states lump crabmeat, I expect that…this was imitation crab & as a Marylander I should have known with the price. The only disappointment in our meal & we’ll return again! Great meal & excellent service!

My wife and I and a Foodie friend take long rides every weekend looking for new places to eat. We ate here for the first time 10-8-2022 and unanimously agree everything from cleanliness, service and quality of the food was the best by far we have experienced in recent memory. One of us or all of us can find fault with something, this was an experience that was 100% / 10 out of 10 perfect. We will be back every time we want perfection.

Hands down my favorite local food! We have a 1 year old so take out really saves the day some nights. Since we typically order take out versus going to the restaurant, we usually stick to the foods that deliver easily. I can honestly say they have the BEST reuben around AND a really amazing burger and gyro! The food is always consistent, you know what you are going to get each time. Bonus: the delivery driver is so nice! We are moving and are going to miss community!! We will have to come visit and dine in!

We went with family, to have an early dinner. The staff was pretty quick and attentive. Rachael, our server, answered all of our questions and took our drink and appetizers order. I thought the Calamari was very good!
I had the beef souvlaki skewer; perfectly sized for my appetite. It was cooked just the way I like it; flavorful, juicy, on a bed of rice. No one in our party was disappointed and some of us ordered dessert, which was pushing the envelope or, in my case the belly button!
This place is a keeper in my list of Yum!"

New menu looks fantastic, as do the new renovations inside.

Ordered take-out Gyros and the bag had a nice little message to enjoy the food. Clearly made with care - presentation even in take out container was spot on. Fries on point. Gyros amazing. Very friendly service.

Never knew this place was here until tonight (I've been here 3 years lol). Amazing food!!! They have alot of Greek food which is delicious. Hoping that they will start making the lemon chicken soup. I love that this place is quiet and not congested. Definitely will start coming here regularly! :)

My wife and I enjoy the friendly service and amazing food. We have been 6 times now, we have never walked out without being completely satisfied. THE VERY VERY BEST IRISH COFFEE! Food prices are perfectly suited for a nice dinner and a few drinks. Every time we walked in,We are greeted as if we were coming for the last 20 years.

Great experience! Rachel was really nice! We highly recommend this place! The meat was perfectly cooked! Home fries taste delicious! Fair prices for the portions and the beautiful ambience! Thanks for remembering father's day!

Due to its aged appearance we were a tad skeptical about eating here. For a local flair we decided to stay and had some of the best Tuna Melts Ever!

The toasted bread was flawless, the sandwich itself arrived hot and flavorful. French Fries were crisp and our creme brulee and hot chocolate lava cake were delicious.

A small town establishment with big city flavor.

Our host was a gem as well.
Definitely worth a try.

If we lived here we'd be regulars.
