Noonan Park

Beautiful & Tranquil! ☺🤗🥰 I've never seen so many Geese, Ducks & Turtles in my life! Lol Being an Animal lover this was truly AWESOME! Can't wait to stop in again in the future and bring my Granddaughter! 💞

This is a nice small park that is next to two busy-ish roads. The landscaping is pretty and it looks like the city maintains the park pretty well. It doesn’t look like the pond is meant for swimming or fishing. I heard from my husband, who grew up in Alexandria, that in the winter, they make the pond into an ice rink.

Have been going to this park for the past 30+ years! Love seeing all the ducks and geese! Nice walking path around the park and a playground across the road from it! Highly recommend this adorable little park!

I am fortunate to live within walking distance of this lovely park. Whether it's a stroll or a bikeride, hitting the pokestops on my way home from the store, or watching my niece and nephew chase butterflies, I find myself in Noonan Park several times a week.

In the summer months, the park is always lively, yet quiet and comfortable. There is a certain nostalgic quality to the interesting colors and structures in the park, that I find comforting and amusing at the same time. I would highly recommend this park to anyone looking to relax and just enjoy being outside.

My family has been going to this park for decades. This is a wonderful park for families, picnics, playing, and iceskating!! I fully intend to keep bringing my own children.

Nice quiet spot with lots of wildlife. Nice clean little park. Nice place to eat lunch or take a quick break.

My daughter and I got to eat our lunch with a goose family. They came right up to be with us. There are beautiful views and birds to watch.

This has been a fantastic park for many years. I have so many memories of ice skating, feeding ducks, grilling with friends, picnics, playing in the playground.

Now as a dad I get to see the wonder of this place again as my kids enjoy the park just like I did years ago.

Cute little park in the city of Alexandria. The geese and ducks were fun to watch while we ate our lunch.

Winter time is the best place for fun outside family skating. The city does a great job upkeeping the ice!

I have always visited here when we come up to our cabin, the ducks are nice and the little house has always been a picture perfect place for the whole family. Only down side is some of the geese are mean so bring a sack of sunflower seeds to throw so they won’t bother you.

Perfect in the fall when colors change and geese gather to leave for the season.

Noonan park is a staple of the Alexandria experience. Separated by the road at a clearly marked path are two halves to one complete park. On the one side is a great playground and picnic shelter with bathrooms. On the other is an amazing pond with a short walking path around. Bring duck and geese friendly feed to attract the local wildlife to your spot. In the winter, the pond is frozen and cleaned off to allow for ice skating. A warming house is on site to provide shelter for those whose kids don't freeze🥶... This is a great park to grab a quick picnic in, have a play date with friends or hatch your pokemon. The park is also romantic enough for those on a cheap date. If you like sitting and watching the fowl with the Misses, there are a few benches with seating to hold hands. Call the Alexandria City Hall to reserve pavilions inside this park.

The park is great! Watch out for the goose poop but it's a fun park to take the kids! Watch out for traffic if you cross the street to go to the playground but it's very nice there as well. Have a nice day out! And during the winter it's a great ice skating park!

As a child this place was magical to me. So, while running errands in Alex today I decided to stop for a moment and take a photo. Very relaxing park. But please take care crossing the street with your little ones to get to the playground area.
