Excellent food, excellent service. It was busy when we sat and we left alone (we both like that when at a new place). I had the Cajun and tiger wings. Cajun wings where perfectly done, but just a little too salty for my liking (only negative about the meal). Tiger wings we're just amazing with chilli with pineapple glaze. Prime rib was perfect.

Friendly staff, attentive service. Ruben was great. The homemade chips are really good as well. Extensive beer list.... you should go here.

One fall Saturday, a friend and I stopped for holiday drink. It was very busy but Vanessa, the bartender, was friendly and cool despite the short handed crew. She made a delicious pumpkin tiki. I was impressed by her professionalism and friendly smile.

Great place to eat. Hidden slightly down a one way street but great food and staff was very helpful.

This was my 2nd time visiting Central City Bar & Grill and was not disappointed. We actually planned a trip to Cortland just to eat here. We came in for dinner at 9PM, were seated and served by an awesome waitress with the best personality. Everything we ordered was delish and portion sizes were huge! Definitely worth the visit if ever in the area!

Someone from our party picked it up. The cheeseburger and chips were delicious. I'm going to eat here, in person, before I leave New York

Stopped in on a Sunday night for dinner food and service was great.

Large portions, very friendly staff, quick service, the ranch dressing is awesome! House made croutons, we had buttermilk fried chicken and brisket, both were very tasty.

This was my 1st time eating at Central City. I heard alot of good things about their food and I wanted to try it out. Boy oh boy were people right!! This place is so good. I had the bacon macaroni and cheese and I can say it was one of the best tasting that I have ever had - so creamy and full of flavor - lots of cheese too.(that was on the menu as an appetizer)
For my meal I chose the Honey Bourbon Glazed Salmon with Rice Pilaf and Asparagus - wow just wow how awesome it tasted!
It was a nice atmosphere on a Sunday evening dinner with one of my very good friends. 😁
It is a bar and grill so of course there was football on ☺
I will DEFINITELY BE RETURNING and if you're looking for a GREAT PLACE TO EAT - YOU FOUND IT!

Unassuming place and location with really fantastic food and a wonderful staff. Very pleasantly surprised!! They even had gluten free sandwhich bread!

This has an excellent beer selection, as well as, a really good menu. I've never had a bad meal here and they're typically really nice specials. The staff is really attentive and fun too. It's definitely one of my favorite places to eat in downtown Cortland.

Hands down Central City is my favorite restaurant in Cortland. You can count on the food consistently being yummy! The prices are reasonable. I don’t think there’s anything I’ve tried there that I didn’t like. My families go to favorites are the Buffalo chicken wrap, burger, any appetizer, and sandwiches like a rueben. The waffle fries and onion rings and soup are great too!

My wife and I went with my preteen daughters and two of their friends. We all enjoyed our dinners. The chicken pot pie was very good. Two in out party had the taco salads, and both enjoyed them. The draft beer selection is impressive. Service was friendly and professional. We will stop again.

The food is SUPERB! Ordered a burger and the Italian wedding soup and was pleasantly suprised. The Italian wedding soup was LOADED with meat and the burger cooked perfectly! Loved the atmosphere. Our waitress was friendly, gave excellent recommendations and was attentive to our table. A true hole in the wall 5 star experience!

Awesome food, great beer and friendly staff. We were there for the Spartan weekend and the pace was PACKED with people. The service was still friendly and quick, and the food quality was surprisingly great considering the rush they must have had in the kitchen. The taxi driver stuff we had picked the best place in Cortland to eat, and I don't disagree.

Never disappointed when I’m at Central City. Great food, great portions, and great prices. 1lb steak for $26 and it comes with like 4 sides. Pretty good deal, especially for someone who’s used to ridiculous NYC prices. Always leave full and satisfied. Good quality and quantity. My go to restaurant in Cortland.

Had the corned beef special. Delicious! Waitress was awesome. Service quick and the atmosphere laid back. Will be back!

I'm quite impressed with this restaurant after two visits. One visit was with a small party and one was with a large party. Central City handled both well, and I was especially pleased with how they accommodated the larger group. The service was prompt and friendly, everyone got their order correctly, and there was timely attention paid to every detail like drink refills, to-go boxes, making sure the check was split appropriately, and so on. I offer my compliments to the staff.
