Dr and the entire team are always wonderful with all of our pets! Recently our Husky was diagnosed with diabetes and they have been tremendously helpful with treatment!

I travel for work and and am often stuck with seeing any vet in an area with an available appointment. I was in Alexandria and my Frenchie had a pretty bad eye situation that I had been trying to treat at another local vet. I was recommended the Country Vet by multiple people independently so I went to see Dr Hartsell and I couldn’t have been more pleased. He was quick and efficient without losing the compassion that a pet owner needs to feel comfortable. He answered all my questions in a very realistic manner and did not just tell me what I want to hear to make a dollar. He gave me options- one budget friendly and one in the best interest of my dog. In the end I chose to have my dog’s eye removed and he even proudly showed me a photo of his own cat who needed an eye removal where the sutures healed so nicely you couldn’t even tell there was a scar. I was totally sold! While my dogs’ looks dont matter to me, it really made me feel as though he was invested in my dog. He reassured me in my apprehension to put a bulldog under anesthesia and I’m so happy with our results. My boy is happier than ever and the icing on the cake is that the sutures healed so nicely you can’t even tell he ever had an eye. Photos of him 2.5 weeks post op! I also expected a much higher price but he quoted me very accurately. I can’t say enough good things about this team, and I’m extremely disappointed I live too far away to make this my primary vet.

Staff were very caring and approachable. Doctor was very compassionate, listened to our concerns and easy to talk too. Doctor let's you assist by holding your pet or he includes you to ease your pets anxiety. Would recommend.

Just a great welcome back for my Pittie. She was treated here in her youth. She vetted for a decade elsewhere but because she is retiring we had to search elsewhere. Now our permanent home! Just felt a huge relief and exceptional excitement for my senior girl at Country Vet. We are so happy with our experience and it made the transition easier. Also my Mom started to come here with her bully and had an exceptional experience for a scary surgery. Just thank you Country Vet.

Love Dr Hartsell, he is so good with our boys! He takes the extra time to listen to your concerns, answer any questions, if there is a diagnosis he will find it! I really like that you get to go back with your pet while he examines them too!

We needed a vet in a pinch. We hit some bad weather while moving from PA to WA, and we decided to fly in MN. We needed our animals looked at in order to fly. They fit us in right away. The vet was super nice and helpful. The staff was kind. They saved our trip

Dan is a top notch vet that always gives straight answers and adds in humor as well. All other workers are amazing as well. Always friendly even when chaos happens as I enter with 3 big dogs.

Unfortunately my aunt had to have her dog put down. The staff were very empathetic and caring during the whole process.
I will personally go there when I find a dog for myself.

Very caring and full of love and common sense. I had a hard time putting my cat down but it was the right thing to do. This is where you should go if you love your pet.
