Ridge View Lodge

We went with multiple couples late in the snow season (rented multiple sleds from the Lodge) and have nothing but great things to say.

The owner, Tracy, had called me, and others in our party, earlier in the week letting us know that due to unique sunny and warm temperatures, we would not be able to ride sleds from the Hotel to the trails, and that we could cancel if we wanted to; but that Ridge View would accommodate us and trailer our rented snow mobiles (rented from Ridge View) back and forth to the mountain, free of charge. It is super convenient to rent sleds from, and stay at, the lodge.

I thought the rental prices for the sleds and helmets were more than reasonable for the comparative costs of the machines and equipment. Everyone was friendly, sociable, and professional. There's a reason so many people keep coming back!

Every Snowmobile season, I stay at the Ridgeview lodge . trail access is right there, there's fuel on site ,and heated garage if you want , and snowmobile rentals !
What more is there , rooms are great! clean &comfortable everything you need for a great stay....... Jeff - Tracy and Staff,are the nicest people who go outa there way to make sure your stay is great 👍

Clean rooms, very helpful to snowmobiles, reasonable prices. What more could you want! I was recommended to this place and I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Not too bad, the location is directly linked to snowmobiles serving the whole North Country, NY. Not too far from the Town Where food is great. Lot of Hole-in- the- Wall Restaurants.

I had the BEST time snowmobiling!! I knew this place was going to be good as soon as I booked the reservation because the young lady at the front desk was so informative and was honest about the rates for snowmobiling. The best part of this place is that the snowmobile garage is on-site so no need to drive to pick it up just simply get up and go.
The lodge is conveniently off the highway and the beds were so comfy which is definitely needed after a whole day of riding the trails. The trails are right behind the lodge and it is a large web of trails (about 700 miles) that snake through the town and farmland.
The staff were top notch from genuine care for our safety, recommending places to eat, and going above and beyond. The night before we checked out the temperature dropped below zero which caused my battery to die. When I checked inside to see if there was a local mechanic to get a jump-start, she simply called the mechanic in the snowmobile garage and he gave me a jump-start.

Highly recommend and I will be returning to make this an annual trip.

We only went for a weekend and had a wonderful time. They had wonderful service and made us feel like part of the family. We kinda made the trip at the last minute so we ended up having to switch rooms so we could enjoy a jacuzzi suite the last night but it was well worth it and more than understandable as we made reservations the day before we went. The only thing I'd have done differently is make reservations ahead of time and that's on us. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family, especially to anyone looking to enjoy a family snowmobiling trip. The trails were easy to access, plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers. They even offer heated garage, vehicle washing, and ethanol free gas on site. I'm sure we'll be back as soon as the weather cooperates.

I would recommend this lodge if your looking for a clean room with friendly staff that go above and beyond for their guests. The continental breakfast was perfect and Jeff in the garage helped us when our diesel gelled up in -11 degree weather. The trails were great and made some friends along the way.

Honest folk like owner and staff hard to find! Busted a sled and they went out of way to keep repair cost super low! Son got flu and these good people seemed to really care. Clean lodge, great sleds/ trails and good breakfast. Family feel from great family run business. Would go back in a heartbeat!! Wishing Ridge View Lodge all the snow they need!!

This motel was the nicest, cleanest, most accommodating that we have ever stayed in. Large spacious room, 2 queen beds, extremely comfortable, large bathroom, with all the amenities, soft large towels. What more can we say. The continental breakfast included much more than most. The desk person that checked us in was very helpful and informative about the area. If we have one complaint, and we're really not complaining, there was no guide for the channels for the television. Really hate to mention it, as everything else was extraordinary. This will be THE place to stay when in the area in the future. By the way, not only was this the nicest place we stayed in our trip, but also the least expensive! Much better that the 5 stars alloted!

Our stay was beyond expectations! The room was very clean and the jacuzzi tub was HUGE. The water was nice and hot. The bed was clean and comfortable. The WiFi was fast and the continental breakfast was one of the better ones we have eaten. I was expecting to hear a lot of noise and snowmobile traffic outside since it’s a busy time for sleds but the lodge is very well built because we nearly overslept! My husband and I just needed a night to ourselves as we have three kids and both work. We can’t wait to come back, and even want to make plans to rent a suite and bring the kids this summer to stay a weekend and visit whetstone gulf!

We came up for my son's birthday with a party of 5. It's only 2 miles from his house and center of Lowville. If you're looking for a Hilton this is not it. But, it clean, comfortable and has a friendly atmosphere. I'll be back.
I said I'd be back and I was. For my grandsons birthday this time.
This place is nostalgic and the price is more than reasonable.
Close to the center of Lowville and stores.
The staff is great and the cleaning crew do a great job.

Ridgeview Lodge is the cleanest, most comfortable place we have ever stayed at ! Everything in the room was just right. Well insulated, quiet, comfy bed, and plenty of space for all of our snowmobile gear. Having laundry and breakfast was helpful. We stayed for 9 nights enjoying the trails and town. The heated garage to thaw our sleds was such a huge convenience. The men in the garage were so helpful when one of the sleds broke down. They got us back on the trail in no time. Such a relief ! We will only stay at the Ridgeview while in the area, highly recommend !

I can not comment on the rooms as I just took a day trip to rent snowmobiles with my wife. I can share that experience-
I called the day before (weekday) and reserved two snowmobiles (and helmets). The lady that answered the phone was kind, friendly, and answered all my questions. We arrived the day of filled out the paperwork and were taken outside for a brief explanation of the use and rules of the rental. Staff was super nice and courteous. My wife and I spent 4 hours driving the beautiful and scenic trail system. We had a blast! Machines and helmets were in top notch condition. Definitely would go again and would love to stay a night or two in this cute little lodge!

The king jacuzzi room was absolutely beautiful. Enjoyed jacuzzi, everything was super cleaned upon arriving. Loved the fake fireplace and the room warmed up super well. Hope to return again to rent some snow mobiles. Wonderful place. Bed was a little on the hard side only negative.

Wonderful place. Very clean. Close to everything. And their employee, Erin, was so kind & helpful. She treated me like she knew me her whole life. What an amazing personality. Quite an asset to the lodge. Will definitely stay there again when I'm in the area.

This place was PERFECT. Great rooms, comfortable beds and free Breakfast.

Stayed here several times for snowmobiling, very clean up to date rooms. Plenty of parking. Very good continental breakfast. Restaurant within walking distance.

Honestly, I googled it and from picking up the call till the end, they are amazing! I would highly recommend “tour” guy for first timers. I would like to thank the owner(Jeff) and his wife, the niece, students, everyone ☺

I thought the price for the room was a little high but our room was extremely clean and warm. They use an actual key for the room, no computer reboot for your non operating key card, I thought that was neat. There is a breakfast area for in the morning and a children's area as well as a playground. They also rent snowmobiles and helmets. Nice motel, all rooms on the first floor.
