Our dog had an emergency dental situation. The vet and staff immediately helped and very good with communicating our dogs needs.
Every interaction we have had with your Lowville branch has been excellent. Not only is the medical staff knowledgeable and compassionate, but likewise so is the front desk staff. I would and have recommended you. It is so refreshing and secure knowing that our fur babies are always in good hands.

We called this vet in tears when our little gray kitten was showing signs of severe illness, and they responded with complete compassion and kindness. We were from out of town (had no idea who to turn to) and they let us come for an emergency visit. Thank you so much for kindness.

Dr Pauly is the absolute best. He’s highly compassionate, super thorough, and a has a wealth of knowledge. We were referred to him from another practice for knee surgery for our dog, now we are switching all our animals over to their care. Worth the drive from Watertown, for sure!

Following the recommendation of our large animal veterinarian, I scheduled an appointment with Dr Pauly for CCL surgery on my dog. I drove 3.5 hours from home to Countryside for an 8:30 am appointment. The staff were kind and welcoming. Dr Pauly was patient and considerate and explained everything to make sure we understood the process and the recovery. The communication before, during and after was excellent. I only wish I lived closer so that we could be regular patients of Countryside. It was absolutely worth the drive and the distance to have this procedure done with Dr Pauly. Thank you to everyone on the team.

Great Man!!! The vet was accommodating, took her right after I called them.
Our dog tried to make friends with a porcupine for the second time.
He removed quills and explained everything thoroughly.
It was a great experience that came from a scary event.

We sent our X-rays to the vet, they said they could do a CCL surgery on our Boston Terrier. We drove from Long Island for the surgery. After 3-4 months of taking it easy our guy is back to normal. The Dr. and staff were great to deal with from the start.

Dr. Allen successfully performed DOUBLE "doggy acl" surgery on our 1.5 year old pup in December of 2022.

We drove up almost 5 hours from NJ to repair what we thought was one blown out knee. Upon arriving we learned that she had unfortunately torn both.

Wild enough on the day of the scheduled surgery Dr. Allen was very ill with the flu(don't worry he kept his distance and wore two masks). But he told us that as sick as he was he knew that calling out wasn't an option because of how important the scheduled surgeries were.

It was a long road to recovery, but we are happy to say that our little puppy is back at full strength. Dr Allen is seriously a life saver and we are very fortunate to have stumbled upon his practice.

As a person who thought the previous reviews were too good to be true. We can confidently say it's 100% valid.

Thanks a million Doc- you brought life back to our pup!!

Countryside Vet has always been good to us, and this weekend especially. Our old girl Luna was having issues eating all weekend, and Doctor Howard has been wonderful. She has kept in touch, and even helped us on Sunday. Even though we could hear some tough situations going on out back, Doctor Howard and the tech (sorry, we did not get her name) were both very friendly and professional when dealing with us, despite their stress level being quite high.

Dr Pauly and all the staff were extremely friendly, efficient, and informative. They offered a great deal of expertise and supported a common-sense approach for treatment of Missy. We will definitely be using Countryside again!

I dont think I have enough nice things to say about our recent experience with Countryside and Dr. Allen. We are 1 week post CCL surgery for our 1.5 YO yellow lab. We traveled from Ithaca, 2.5 hr away, and they helped make that very easy for us. Didn't have to schedule a pre op in person visit. Dr. Allen called and spoke to my husband, detailing the entire surgery. My husband was completely sold after that conversation, whereas I was hesitant about having our dog undergo major surgery and then transport her home with a long car ride. The cost was a major factor for us at first. I couldn't stomach the high expense of the common TPLO procedure. However, after meeting Dr. Allen in person, him taking time out of his busy morning (schedules a day of surgery's all together) he explained the entire surgery to me. It made complete sense and really felt like an absolute no brainer. Surgery performed that day, we picked her up the next day. They reassured me they would send us home with proper meds to help keep our pup relaxed. And that they did. Our once super hyper lab is now relaxing and doing exactly what her body needs her to do to heal. Her incision while large, has been healing amazingly. She's able to move around and it does not seem like she's in terrible pain or anything like that. Anyways, I hope this helps ease ones mind if considering this surgery for their dog. We know 3 other dogs who have had this done with DR Allen and all are doing great. I would make the same decision in a heartbeat, hands down.
Ohhh also worth noting, not only was DR. Allen great but EVERYONE we came in contact with at Countryside were great. All very professional, kind and helpful. If I could give them more than 5 starts I would!

I can’t express the amount of love and compassion Countryside showed to me and also my dog. He was just recently hit by a car and from the moment he arrived there they treated him as if he was apart of the family. I can’t thank the receptionists, techs and Dr Pauly for everything they did for my Jett enough. I’ve always recommended their office to anyone who asked and I will continue to rave about their office. ❤

I have to give a huge shout out to Countryside Veterinary Clinic in Lowville. As a first time boarder and nervous dog mom, I am more than pleased with the care my dogs received! My dogs received top notch care while we were away and I was even able to schedule them for their own spa day with a grooming. Not only are they excited to be home, they look beautiful, and I was able to include a full check up and everything they needed to be up to date. The office staff is wonderful and I really just can't say enough or be more thankful!

We traveled over two hours to bring our dog to this vet for ACL surgery. It was definitely worth it. A friendly staff who really loves your pets as much as you do. Excellent communication and outstanding professionalism.
