Canal House Restaurant

First time stopping here. Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Seated by large windows with a nice view of the boat canal. We will e going back again.

I was craving a salad bar and it didn't disappoint! Great options, clam chowder was yummy.
Our server was fantastic and they had ample staff as tables were turned quickly.
I had the wild rice meatballs - they were a little salty and partner had the AYCE fish fry.

Will definitely return!

We came here for a late lunch/early dinner. The salad bar was decent, the good (burgers) were good. Service was okay. It was nice to sit on the porch and watch the boat traffic coming in and out.

Upon entering the restaurant we were warned by the host that it would be a significant wait for our food. They had gotten busier than expected and food could take up to an hour! We decided to stay, mostly because if we drove somewhere else, it would be an hour before we ate anyway. I'm glad we stayed! Our server was fantastic and the food was exceptional. The lettuce on the salad bar was nice and green, we got our appetizer pretty quickly, and the chicken dinners (although they did take an hour) were very flavorful! The side dishes were fresh, seasoned veggies and real mashed potatoes, not canned and instant like so many places are defaulting to nowadays.

They wait was long, but the food and service was worth it! We will definitely be back!

Very good food here. We have been there many times for lunch and dinner. We have had burgers, walleye tacos, chicken sandwich and all has been great. Ralph last served us and he was very friendly, profession, and efficient.

We love coming here during the summer and sitting outside by the canal but they don't have full wait staff outside which we know and are ok with. We visited on the last day of their season this year and they were having all you can eat fish for a steal! But had to eat inside. Well we asked if they would do it for us this one time and they said they would! They were awesome! And the fish was SO GOOD. We honestly didn't have high hopes because it was so cheap and the last day of the year for them but it far exceeded our expectations. The breading was light and full of flavor and the fish was so tasty, very fresh tasting and light. The fries were delicious too. It was a great way to spend our last day on the lake and will come back again next summer.

Friday Night Fish Fry! All you can eat! A great deal if you have a big appetite. Alas, we don't, but it was still nice to have the option for more. The salad bar was nice, the clam chowder excellent, and the service was extraordinary! Friendly and efficient and aware, you can't ask for better.

Brunch burger, chicken wrap, french dip are all delicious. Add in the salad bar to your meal for $3.95.

PS - only pizza available on Monday. No other food.

All 5 of us enjoyed our meals. Everything was delicious! Big rack of ribs, walleye tacos, walleye fingers, chicken fettuccine alfredo and hot ham and cheese. Definitely recommend a North Wind. Very friendly staff and waitress.

We stopped at the Canal House on a recommendation and we couldn't have been happier. The Juicy Lucy Burger was outstanding! Service was very quick and very friendly. My girls even enjoyed playing in the arcade while they waited for their food.

Wife had Walleye fingers. Excellent. I had the combo platter. Got happy hour discount on combo and drinks. The combi is a full meal for two or three. Hahaha...i took 2/3s of it home. Everything so tasty and cooked to perfection.

Always love the Canal House. Great food and service. I live the salad bar. Our family enjoys our summer visit, worth the visit.

Large servings of delicious food for great prices. It's clean and the people who work there are very friendly and helpful.

My parents and I had the pizza. It was very good with a friendly staff. Enjoyed my time at this campground!
