Lake Brophy County Park

Brophy Park is a hidden gem that truly offers something for everyone. The clean and inviting beach is perfect for both swimming and kayaking. Right next to the beach, there's a convenient shower faucet for rinsing off after you've enjoyed your time in the lake.

Anglers won't be disappointed with the fishing dock, as the lake by the dock is teeming with crappies and sunfishes.

Giant county park that has so much to offer. This new park has a big mountain bike park full off trails of all skill levels that includes hiking trails as well. The Central Lakes Trail runs right through this park. Has a new updated and interesting playground as well as lake access and a swim beach. Also sledding hill in the winter. Very nice visitor center that is basically updated very nice bathrooms and a covered pavilion with picnic tables.

Keep improving every year. More mountain bike trails and new skills area with more jumps and drops. Beach area is very nice, playground is huge and new parking area at base of bike trails has a large sheltered picnic area with four seasons bathroom with separate rooms with locked doors with toilets and urinals and plenty of space for changing clothes.

Lots of playground equipment for every age, 2 to 12. Clean and well groomed equipment and park area. Seating areas around the playground and by the lake. Also many walking and biking paths. We took a lovely walk, it was fun to see the fall colors. I'll be back!

AWESOME. Okay I'm from Florida, just moved here, and was looking for a fun free activity. This is where it's at. First time and it's snowy (well, icy) but still a great time sledding and attempting to practice snowboarding. Excellent hills. It looks like there are some good trails to walk, and other trails to snowmobile and cross country ski. There is a Pick Up After Your Pooch station, so this park is dog friendly as far as we could tell! (Following any appropriate leash laws). The fire pit looks amazing, with wood next to it, I would imagine it would be courtesy to bring some/take some but I'm not sure how that works. Super fun place, the playground looked AMAZING. Right by the lake. Ice skating area. And I'm sure plenty more we didn't see. It looked like there was an additional groomed hill, but it looked steeper so us Floridians stuck with the other one.

A truly wonderful county park tucked away inbetween lakes Brophy and North Union. It offer picnic areas, access to the Central Lakes Trail, as well as scenic kame/kettle hiking/ski/mountain biking trails! The view from the largest kettle (hill) is simply breath taking, and is completely worth the effort. This is simply a great piece of local public land.

This place is coming together very nicely. It's something that this community has been needing for a very long time. Typically going to Crosby area to get my offroad biking needs satisfied this is a great alternative. Although it's a completely different experience. I love how many runs that have been added to this area. Haven't been swimming in the beach area but it looks nice.

One of the best if not the best playground we’ve ever come across. Lake access and beautiful setting. Mountain bike trails too! Plenty of trash receptacles. Plenty of picnic tables. One small portapotty by the playground area which hopefully they upgrade in the future. Park is heavily used.

The new playground and trail development are top tier. This place will only get better as time goes on. On that note, access for shore fishing would be appreciated.

Lots for kids to enjoy, tables to sit or eat at, right off the bike trail. Deffiantly my son's favorite park

New bike park will rate at the top of the list in MN. Fun for beginners to advance.

Park is well maintained and the new playground for the kids is a plus. We have visited twice and havent seen the whole park yet. worth a visit with the family

We had a graduation party at the shelter on a hot day, but the breeze across the lake was wonderful! The facility was just what we needed and more. I would rent it again.

Great sledding hills (that's right, there is two) and pretty cool to see a sheet of ice to skate.

This is off the beaten path and somewhat outside the city but it’s a hidden gem of a park in Alexandria! The playground is one of the largest and nicest I’ve seen for a county park. Placard says it was built in 2019 - all the equipment looks new and in mint condition. It was even fun for adults - especially the zip line!

Great park along Lake Brophy. Variety of outdoor activities, hiking, mountain biking, fishing pier, swimming beach, playground with sledding, snowshoeing and skating in the winter. A year round park.

This is probably the coolest playground I have ever been on. Highly recommend for anyone who's child is a climber or a risk taker. This park provides many safe and fun ways for active kids to explore.

Great place to play with your children! I had a blast with 6 kids ages 2-14. So much to do and enjoy! Plan to bring snacks because your children won’t want to leave! We will be visiting this place often.
