Claremont Spice & Dry Goods

This is my go-to grocery store. I am all about Organic foods. Ben and Chiara only provide local products, which is the biggest perk. They have put so much love and care into their shop where you can actually see it when you walk through the door. Chiara is always pleasant and wonderful. Ben always brings good vibes and works incredibly hard creating and mixing new spices. I will never run out of good things to say about their shop. Highly recommend it!

Chiara and Ben run the most wonderful shop! I come here often and they have every spice you can think of. I've been cooking with their mixes and rubs for a year now, no need to make my own anymore! Only once have a looked for a flavour no store in Sullivan County had, and Chiara immediately knew where I could order from. They are knowledgeable about food, farming, and the whole community of Claremont!

More than just spice! Limited coffees, teas, cookbooks, oils, vinegars, excellent knives. Also some small amounts of local products, like eggs and sausage.
Well organized, and the spices all have good descriptions of their taste and use.

Stumbled upon this in downtown, what a gem. Ben was manning the counter and was very nice and helpful. After talking for a short bit, it's clear his knowledge is excellent. Found quite a few spices that have been difficult for me to get, and got some of the blends as well which gave me all sort of cooking ideas. Great shop, great selection, and yes, I'll be sure to tell my friends. :-)

Great variety of spices, prices are decent and the employees are all very helpful and friendly. Great experience. Also the sourdough they sell is delicious!

We brought a busload of senior citizens from about an hour away, each looking forward to a fun day trip. While we visited several places in Claremont, I must say that Claremont Spice & Dry Goods was their favorite part of the day. The product selection is quite diverse. Chiara oozes sincere hospitality, and she clearly knows her craft. We'll definitely be back.

This place is a gem for anyone who loves to cook with the best spices and herbs. I love this place. When I need spices that I can't get at the store nor want their selection this is where I go.

We've been buying our spices at this shop for quite some time - and I can literally say it's my favorite shopping experience, always. The spices are fresh, high quality, and inexpensive, and the selection is fantastic! The selection is great, and inspiring. We've also bought on-line, which is very quick and effective, but the in-store experience is so much fun. The couple who run the store are really friendly and knowledgeable - so it's just a MUST to go try it for yourself. If you're not a "foodie", well, first my sympathies....and I do think most of us really are....so do go see for yourself. Start with the Saigon cinnamon, and just go from there and I promise, you'll be easily hooked, in a good way!

What a perfect small, local, owner-operated shop, a great reason to come to Claremont. I have been looking for some quality decaffeinated coffee and got just what I wanted. Ground on the spot to match my moka pot, fragrant and wonderful. A fascinating selection of teas, some very unusual, all inviting. What a cheerful, helpful, happy owner helping me out. Can't wait to drink up my purchases and head back for some more. Can't believe I didn't know this gem was there. Hurrah!

This is a great store! The quality of the spices is very good. The spice blends are amazing. Also, there are some specialty products, many of which are not available elsewhere in the area.

The owner is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about her products.

Prices are reasonable as well.

If you live in the area, and have never shopped here before, just go check it out, buy some spices or spice blends, and make some delicious food with them. You'll be hooked, like I am now.

Love this place! Gorgeous, fresh dried herbs and spices, unusual things that you can't always find elsewhere. And they are packaged in different sizes, so you don't have to buy a lot of something just to try out something new. Many lovely gift items as well, local products, fresh ground coffee... It smells amazing when you walk in and the proprietors are super friendly. Always a treat!

What a great store. The owners are friendly and informative, and the inventory was top notch. I'm excited to use all the great spices I bought. I am just visiting this quaint little town, but I highly recommend Claremont Spice and Dry Goods to everyone.

I visited Claremont Spice & Dry goods looking for lose leaf tea and left with much more. This store is a little gem of a find if you are a foodie. All kinds of interesting rubs, cutlery, fresh bread,coffee and more. Ben is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I'd highly recommend stopping in!

A LOVELY cooking store with an unparalleled selection of cool spices, spice blends, a d other neat ingredients as well as local farm products and kitchen gadgets. The owners are wonderful and incredibly helpful. The window displays are always charming and delightful.

This place has quality spices, rubs, coffee, and jam. The customer service is tip notch. It is an impeccable mom and pop place that really focuses on quality and service. They may not be able to handle shipping and long distance phone orders at this point however they are working towards it by relocating to a bigger place and have the aspirations to better serve us as a customer.

I am in no way affiliated with this place but do frequent there often. I surely recommend this place to all family and friends. You truly won't be disappointed!

Amazing shop! Amazing shop-keep, he was very knowledgeable on every item in there. Hands down. The best sausage I have ever had. Wife agrees! Going to try the bacon tomorrow morning lol. 5 stars indeed.
