Yama (Young’s Restaurant)

Great place! I use to visit pre-COVID and now they are back open with limited dine in service (you order at the cashier station and they will bring out food to your table). All of their food is just as good as I'd remember and the only place you can Korean cuisine for miles. The owners and front person are super nice. The place was clean and the proportions (and flavor) are worth the price. They also take allergies seriously which I appreciated! If you like Korean food and sushi you shouldn't be disappointed. Just remember to get some Banchan (side vegetables) as they no longer serve all the side dishes with your meal since COVID so you have to specify.

This place was a great pit stop, and not a big detour from the highway. Lots of fresh vegetables, the tofu was delicious, and they make a homemade teriyaki sauce which is truly lovely! The portion sizes are quite large and service was quick!

Don’t know why we waited so long to come here but I’m glad we finally did!
The Green Monster: fresh & yummy. I get why people recommend this restaurant for their sushi.
Jjamppong: perfect for the rainy weather & had a nice deep flavor.
Tangsooyuk: yummy & I was surprised how crispy + juicy the pork was
Staff are very friendly and warm. Has a cute and cozy vibe inside.
Definitely will be added to our rotation of regular restaurants 🫶🏼

Homemade food with incredible Korean dishes and daily rotating banchan choices! SO tasty

Cute little family-run restaurant in the Upper Valley with good food. They don't offer dine-in, but the take out is pretty good. Ordered the pork bulgoki and bibimbap and was pretty satisfied. Price was slightly on the higher side (~$35 for 2 people). They offered free candy for valentine's day, which I thought was pretty cute.
PS: I ordered on the phone and they gave me a wait time of 1h. I don't know if that was due to v-day rush, or if that's the usual scene. But the ordering part itself was pretty hassle free.
PPS: excellent covid safety protocols.

The place was crowded, but we were seated immediately. The staff was friendly. The sushi was fresh and the food came out fast. The specials at the end of the menu are delicious, and the quality of meat is really good. Scallion pancake appetizer is also delicious. This place is really good, especially compared to the already good Sushiya. I'd highly recommend this place if you're looking for an authentic, delicious Korean meal!

Spectacular Korean homecooking in no frills location. We had the kimchi jjigae stew which hit the spot perfectly after skiing. The fried Mandu were also excellent - thin, crispy coating. The people that run it are super kind.

Delicious food and friendly service. I called in a takeout order and had the tofu pad thai, hot and sour soup, and a philly roll. Hope to be back again next time I'm in the area.

Excellent food!! I'm shocked. When I arrived and saw the location, I was very skeptical, but this place lived up to the hype. I am so happy I gave it a shot and I will certainly be back.

Small little hole in the wall where we went to celebrate my wife getting a new job. I never knew it existed! The food was excellent and the service was great! I also tried my first "sushi" (it was just cucumbers in rice and seaweed 🤣) We'll definitely be back!

Right now they are only doing take out but u can eat inside if you need. I like the sushi and my wife the duckbuki. But its all good.

Delicious as always. Every bite flavorful and perfectly made. I’m especially happy with the sushi side of the menu, as good sushi is otherwise hard to find in the Upper Valley. Takeout ordering was precise and easy via phone call, and the pickup process was painless and very quick. We will be back again for sure!

Excellent family run Korean joint. Sushi bar and Japanese yaki noodles. Hearty Korean soups and stews for the winter. Just like omma made back in Seoul.

One of my very favorite places to eat. Fast & friendly. The edamame is delicious. My favorite roll is the tropical roll & a close second is the yam yam.

One of the best in the area for sure! I love the variety. I have tried the spicy pork and it was solid. I will update when I have a chance to go back an try the sushi! I have heard pretty good things about that side of the restaurant. The people here are super friendly and seem to love it there.

Love this place. Great sushi good prices. Eat here once a month never had a bad meal.

Got takeout a few months ago when they reopened, and I meant to leave a review then. Excellent service and superb food. The person who took my order on the phone was very kind--I think it was Leslie? I also appreciated that they gave me banchans (side dishes) in little containers! Sad I'll be leaving the Upper Valley but I would definitely recommend Yama/Young's for authentic Korean food!
