The Mirage Restaurant & Café

The restaurant serves excellent food and has standout service to boot. Valentin, our server, came by a few times to check that everything was ok. It has an extensive menu that runs to a few pages. My recommendation if you are there for lunch is to go with the lunch specials. They are value for money, and the portions are just right. We had the rack barbecue ribs and broiled salmon. The ribs were melt in the mouth good, and the salmon was very fresh. The highlight of our visit was our conversation with Tara, the restaurant manager. She was very friendly and helpful in getting us the table that we requested. We asked her about the Pacific eel in the marine tank. Tara told us that the eel is about 8 years old and when it was 4 years old, a devastating fire broke out at the Landmark Diner on August 22, 2019, which housed the eel and other fish (owned by the same owner of the Mirage). The owner managed to save the fish, including the eel, and they are now housed in 2 fish tanks in the restaurant. A terrible fire with a happy ending for the eel and its marine friends. Thank you, Tara, for telling us this uplifting story. If you need to burn some calories after lunch, a walk in Iona University, which is across the road from the Mirage, is enjoyable.

This modern restaurant has indoor, outdoor seating and parking! The star of this restaurant is the staff! Tara gave us a warm welcome and even understood me mouthing it was my mom’s birthday and was discreet, she was a light. Our server was Benny and he was the best, gave us recommendations, check on us often, and was hilarious. The wait staff were on point was well. The food was hot an delicious. Turkey sausage so good I was shocked. They came out and sang happy birthday. Such a good time. Do not walk RUN! Post Covid I am happy to find a classy establishment with top tier service. I’ll be back!

Was visiting from out of town and told to check this place out. Great atmosphere and immaculately clean. Service was spot on and included some humor. Not sure why anyone would complain about price. Below is my pic of two full plates of quality food and large portions! Great find! Hopefully my kid will attend the college across the street, then we can have more time sampling the rest of the menu from here!

This has become our Sunday staple after Church as well as when we just want a good bite! Upscale diner experience with some delicious food! My favorite is the croissant French toast!

Being something of a diner expert at this point, the reason why I gave this place five stars is awesome. Super clean environment. Friendly staff. Most important. They gave me my food exactly the way I asked for it. When I talked about how Tabasco and Cholula were fake hot sauce, they brought me out some fresh sliced jalapeno. The coffee was even good 🙂

Wonderful establishment and lovely vibe.

We gave this place a try on a Saturday morning shortly after they opened for the day. We were greeted and seated at a spacious booth right away.

The layout of this place is so nice and honestly once you're inside you'll feel like you've left NY. It's spacious yet comforting, simple yet very modern.

Our server was very attentive and aimed to please. He was sure to answer our questions in great detail. He seemed to be 1 of the only servers working around the time we arrived. However, even though we weren't his only table he shared his time responsibly and made us feel like we were.

The food was served within an ample timeframe and was served fresh. I went with the housemade corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and cheddar cheese.

Overall, I can't wait to visit this place again. It is family friendly and casual styling so everyone will enjoy.

I love this restaurant! It’s my go to when I want to go out with my friends. I can count on eating delicious food served by great staff.

We have never had a bad meal here and is one of the best restaurants in the area.

If the menu doesn't have what you're looking for, you are probably asking for too much. As a big guy, I always leave satisfied with the portion size.

The service is great. The employees make us feel like family when we walk through the door.

Drinks are good and priced well, but I wish they had more options during happy hour.

Their desserts are phenomenal, and I'm not even going to mention which is our favorite because it sells out.

This was my first visit. My family and friends often patronize. Im so glad I joined them this time. Great food, good vibes.

First, we picked this place to spend couple of hours in nice cosy atmosphere, relax, check emails and talk. And we got it right. This place has European design, heigh ceilings, accurate finish and decor, a lot of space, cosy coaches.
We were surprised with variety of food choices. This time thought we went on desserts and it was one of the best cheesecakes I have tasted!
Service was nice and timely.
They have dedicated parking lot behind the building - just need to turn right at the corner.

Food is very good here. As with every diner, they have a ton of variety. It's a little pricey, but you get food portions for the price. They open a giant glass door in the summer and you get a nice breeze. Highly recommend if you want an upscale diner experience

Parking is a touch difficult, but the food is good and fresh and the staff is friendly

Food was good and waitress was super. She alerted us that someone was now feeding the fish in the tank and thought our grandson would enjoy seeing it. She also whispered that the kids meal came with ice cream. So thankful for her sensitivity.
Great ambiance AND a cocktail/bar area!

We went in for a late breakfast n enjoyed everything we ordered. The service was excellent and ambiance was pretty nice too.

Good spot, very attentive waiter. The price is a bit high, just a little but food fresh. This would be my third favorite dinner.
