Catharine Cottages

Perfect place to explore the finger lakes. The cabins are nice and very clean. Charming place. Laura, who manage our booking at that time, was wonderful and helpful . We stay few years ago but as I can see everything looks as charming as I remember.

Catherine Cottages is such a nice spot. Minutes outside of Watkins Glen, the cozy cottages upon the creek are located right off the beaten path, but still close enough to explore the area. The owner was wonderful, and the breakfast basket was delicious. We'll definitely come back!

What a wonderful gem! Clean, comfortable, and everything that you could possibly need is on-site. The cabins are cozy and the creek is blissful. You feel like you are a world away but you are less than 5 minutes from town. We loved it so much, we are going back this summer with our family!

I've stayed here twice. It's so nice. There are 4 cabins about 30 ft apart from each other that face a nice little stream. There's a deck on the front of each and they're angled so you actually do have some privacy when sitting on the deck.

The insides are very clean and cozy with heat and AC. A breakfast basket is included with delicious options.

There's a fire pit and charcoal grill for each. Wood is available on-site for a modest fee. There are complimentary fire starters, matches, kindling, charcoal, and lighter fluid.

You do get some road noise, but it's easily ignored.

We had an amazing time. Catharine is a very attentive host. The cabin's are very nice and the location is surreal (in front of the stream). Our stay came with a full breakfast basket of local delicacies. We're looking forward to staying again in the future.

We really enjoyed staying at catherine cottages. Everything we needed was right there. It's the little things that they thought about that makes it special. Paper and fire starters for starting a fire. Hot dog/marshmallow forks you can borrow. Wood right on the premises. A goody basket and cheese when you arrive. It was so relaxing just sitting on the cottage porch by the creek. Everyone is so nice. I definitely want to go back and spend more time. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Cannot reccomend enough! The grounds are immaculate and the location perfect: close to local attractions but just far away enough to feel as if you've escaped a bit. The creek is right outside your door. Our dog loved it! Super dog friendly with extra little details to make her feel at home. We also loved that we were allowed to crate her for a few hours in the cabin as Watkins Glen doesn't allow dogs on the main trail. All the necessities were available such as grilling needs, ice, wood, etc. It was also really nice having AC in the cabin! Loved the complimentary basket with fresh muffins, local cheese, and jam. The area surpassed our expectations with so many great walking trails and waterfalls to explore all day. One thing to note, though this did not bother us: cabins are close to a main road but traffic slows by night and the crackle of the fire and creek were all we could hear (we live very rurally so this didn't bother us; we weren't expecting to be super remote). Ilona is a wonderful host! Can't wait to return.

Catharine Cottages is amazing! The cabins are super comfortable and the welcome basket with snacks was so generous. They provide cooking utensils, fire starters, pans, charcoal among so many other things! My husband and I absolutely loved coming here for our getaway, and we’ll definitely be telling everyone about it!

We had an amazing long weekend getaway. These darling cottages were very clean and welcoming. Extremely well managed, we had everything we needed, from fresh towels and maid service every day, fully stocked coffee area, wine glasses, lantern, candles, and even firewood. No stone was left unturned by the very efficient staff. Breathtaking atmosphere, and close to all nightlife as well. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This place has everything you could possibly need for a nice relaxing getaway. The owner is very friendly she will occasionally come by to make sure your stay is going well. The cabin and grounds are immaculate I look forward to returning again and for anyone looking to unplug from their busy life I highly recommend visiting Catherine cottages. There are plenty of sites to see within a short drive, each cabin has it's own BBQ grill but there are plenty of places to go eat nearby.

It's really a perfect mix of comfortablie living and exploring nature in an authentic way. The creek is great for walks, so bring your water shoes! Kids loved the creek walks everyday. There are bbq grills and utensils available for grilling any time. The cottages location is great - 9 minutes from Watkins Glen, which is a beautiful town that hosts the big park. It has plenty of ice cream places, Clute park offer lake swimming, and there's even a big Walmart - we bought fireworks and food for grilling from there. The service at the cottages is wonderful and the hospitality of the staff is great. Really felt like home. Great place, overall; we'll definitely visit again.

Scenic little quiet spot on Catherine's creek. 4 cabins to choose from with heat/ac, water, a keurig, wifi, and a welcome basket with local snacks. Very friendly owners. Great little getaway in the Finger Lakes!

I have stayed here before but this place never ceases to be amazing. It's such a quiet relaxing place surrounded by things to do outside. There are so many things supplied that you really only have to bring an overnight bag! Love it here.

This place was fantastic. The cottage was nicer than advertised. We forgot one of our bags, they called to let us know. They are going to mail it to us. Thsnk you very much that is true hospitality. Recommend highly.

Me and my wife have stayed here a few times and it never disappoints. The owners are nice and make sure you have everything you need. The property is beautiful.

HANDS DOWN BEST SPOT IN THE AREA! Excellent Accommodations! Its like the Pefect Personal Getaway for Anyone looking to Visit the area. My Wife and I will 100% be returning soon.
