I am a 60 year old women who had a freak accident.....slipped on an area rug and tore my hamstring (possibly a grade 3) plus groin muscle. Was taken by ambulance to memorial hospital and referred to Dr. Behrens for a professional opinion as to my injury. After 8 days waiting for appointment I left feeling like it was not a big deal. The pain was very real to me....gave me 20 vicaden and script for therapy. Was going to start therapy but requested more pain meds. I received a phone call stating my injury did not require more meds...agree with maybe not a narcotic... but where is his compassion as a doctor to possibly prescribe to alleviate the real pain I was in . He definitely forgot the oath he took as a doctor.
