I really enjoyed my lunch here. The salad with homemade Bleu cheese dressing was incredible, and the brisket platter had great portions of meat and coleslaw. The beans were nice with a kick. Zach was my server and he was very friendly and efficient, even with one arm in a sling! This place is worth stopping into.

The food is always amazing here . I enjoyed the ribs and brisket after a good walk at Beaver Lake.Busy on the weekends but was able to sit after few minutes . Very good service and staffs . They have a very spacious patio with a good view.

Slow Groovn BBQ offers a stunning view with mountains and greenery, making it a perfect spot for both outdoor and indoor seating. We particularly enjoyed the scenic mountains while savoring our drinks, with the spicy margarita being a personal favorite. The okra fry left us amazed, and the fried corn and wings were also delectable. However, the twisted potato fries and chicken nachos were somewhat disappointing and didn't quite meet expectations.

The ambiance of the place is enhanced by colorful flowers, adding to the overall pleasant experience. The barbecue-style meat was well-cooked and delicious. If you're visiting Beaver Lake, Slow Groovn BBQ is definitely a must-try, offering a delightful combination of good food and beautiful surroundings.

The food here never disappoints! Everything is delicious 🤤 the burnt ends veggie mac and cheese is the best mac I have ever had! The portions are large and the vibe is awesome as are the staff.

We have lived on the Western Slope since 2015 and never made the drive to Slow Groovin’. Then covid hits and backs us off a spell. Finally, today we made it. Beautiful drive over McClure pass. Leaves just beginning to turn. Amazing setting in the Marble Valley with fabulous views in every direction. Less than 20 minute wait, even as busy as they were. We ordered two family plates with all the meat except the salmon. Beans and coleslaw. Prior to the meal we had the Hillbilly Nachos and some Burnt Ends. Damn fine meal. Friendly and attentive service. Well worth the drive. We’ll be back again before winter closing for sure. Sorry it took us this long.

Simply wonderful. Chloe, Sam and the rest of the staff were all smiles from the minute that I walked up the front steps. Their service was as excellent as the BBQ! I can't wait to visit again!

I've been up here a couple times, as a truck driver, to pick up marble from the quarry. This is already one of the most beautiful locations I've ever been in.

Then there's this place. Slow Groovin BBQ. With all fresh ingredients, this is hands down, the best food I've ever had. I tell everyone, this is truly a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere, totally worth it.

I've told my wife about my experience, and we decided to drive the 5 and a half hours, spend a weekend here, for our 17th wedding anniversary. It doesn't get any better than this: the most beautiful girl, and the most beautiful location, eating the most beautful food...

A mandatory stop for anyone visiting the region. This restaurant has the best barbecue I've ever tasted! The place is very interesting, in the middle of the forest, with a rustic and welcoming atmosphere. Despite not taking reservations, Ryan was helpful in being able to accommodate a group of almost 30 people during the holidays. thank you very much!

Great bbq brisket and burnt ends mac and cheese. Dynamite salad as well. Very friendly and helpful waitress. Wonderful setting. Absolutely loved it!

Food and atmosphere are amazing! I got the smoked brisket and smoked salmon, it did not disappoint! We also ordered the bacon wrapped jalapeños - they were so good! It can fill up fast, so I recommend getting there early - however they are definitely worth the wait!

Quick friendly service with brisket that is top tier, especially considering the state, location & the altitude these folks slow smoke these delicious meats at is amazing.
Tender juicy fall apart brisket. A bit on the fatty side for my personal serving but that’s what makes the flavor really pop. I would have liked a better fat ratio on the beef, but dang good delicious.

These folks welcomed us so fast and had our table of 4 seated in under 2 minutes on a Saturday @ noon. Amazing.

Love this place! We stopped here as a half-way point for lunch while doing some off-roading from Crested Butte via Schofield Pass. The food was great - certainly the best BBQ my husband and I have had! I had the brisket with fried okra and my husband had the pulled pork sandwich. Portions were hearty and service was friendly and wonderful. The chocolate chip cookies (baked to order so they come out nice and warm) were a perfect dessert after our feast. Also, best cornbread I've had. We also enjoyed hanging out with Brisket -- Slow Groovin's adorable, four-legged mascot -- on the patio while we waited for a storm to pass by. They also sell rubs and hot sauces as well -- my husband has been loving the "Control Burn" hot sauce we took home (p.s. to Slow Groovin' -- do you mail out your merchandise? I'm sure my husband is going to miss the hot sauce once he goes through our bottle!). Highly recommend, worth a stop!

After four wheeling to the Crystal Mill and back, we were starving! We ate out on the front patio and it was a really nice atmosphere. The food was great. A lot of people just happy to be outside in such a beautiful area. The restroom had an issue with flushing, but I got it figured out without having to bother anyone.

Such a gem! Our family is SO happy we made a detour to this place. Best BBQ we have ever had, hands down. The sauces are AMAZING, the meat is incredible! We loved everything! Our server was SO nice and fast. Oh, and the VIEW. If there's no space on the deck, WAIT. It is worth it.

Consistently great food and service (everything we've had has been top notch) our meals are regularly followed by hot from the oven chocolate chip cookies. Due to the increasing popularity and demand for GREAT BBQ (best in the state as far as we're concerned) the wait time for a table has increased and you really should have more than 1 unisex restroom. Most foodies don't mind the drive and as a photographer, it's not a hardship to travel to this beautiful location for fantastic food! We have been fans of Slow Groovin' BBQ since the beginning and will continue to anxiously await their opening every year... planning as many trips as we can to visit before their season ends. Thanks to the owners and crews who work so hard doing what they love! Keep it up!! (Dined again 7-2-22) 17 year Anniversary for us.. I think it's 9-11 years for SG BBQ. We look forward to it several times every year. Thanks again. 💜
