My parter and I recently spent 2 nights camping here. This campground is conveniently located, spacious, and pretty. The camp host was nice and helpful. The bathrooms (which have flushing toilets) where clean but missing seat covers and hand soap. This campground is surrounded by city so be aware that you'll hear city sounds. I would definitely stay here again!

The campground here at South Lake Tahoe is in a very nice and convenient location. It is very close to all the activities, shopping, and restaurants in South Lake Tahoe.

The campground is easy to get in and out of the main gate. This is a huge campground with many campsites in a few sections.

Nice campgrounds even if it is in town. To bad that the dump station was closed for repairs. Otherwise would have stayed longer. Restrooms are clean and showers too.

The park is beautiful. The site that I was assigned was unacceptable. I asked to be moved to another site. The staff was more than accommodating and snow blowed a new space for me. The manager became agitated and belligerent when he discovered that my 23 ft RV was in a space for a 40 footer. Even though they did not have a reservation to fill that space he told me that I would have to go back to the initial site or leave the campground. I chose to leave. I will not go back.

We stayed at this campground with our trailer for 1 week. We absolutely loved it. Awesome location, well maintained with hook-ups, very close to the city spots, right across from the beach and other activities.

Yes due to Covid situation their seasonal staff is not available and public restrooms were closed. But they communicated that well in advance.

We would love to come back, best wishes for upcoming Happy campers!

Stayed here one night in October 2017. I thought the traffic noise would be bad since it's so close to Lake Tahoe Blvd, but it wasn't a problem. The location is super convenient - close to the lake, Safeway, restaurants. The bathrooms and campsites were well cared for. And, the showers were very welcome after 2 nights in campgrounds without showers. Also, there was a nice dish washing station with good counter space outside the bathrooms.

Great quiet place to camp even though it's right off Tahoe Blvd. Nice clean flat spots just across the street from the lake and set within the beautiful treeline. Added to our list of places to stay when visiting Tahoe. Only downside is no sewer hookups but we had water hookups so thats a win. Just had to hit the dump station on the way out of the campground.

This was a cool little campground in a convenient location (if you aren’t really into “roughing it” there are plenty of dining and entertainment options within walking distance) with some spots having views of the lake beyond the main road. Yes, it’s a pretty busy road but it quiets down once you are in the thick of the trees and then even more at night. Facilities are good and clean, hookups worked well. The check-in process was very smooth and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Great campground, great location. Showers were superb. Lake is walking distance and bike trails are adjacent. Sadly and fortunately no bears were spotted at the campground.

This campground makes me re-live many great memories... I love Lake Tahoe, and I think this is the best way to experience it. The campground has many sites, and while a few are too close to the road (losing that authentic camping feel), the others are in spots that still feel woodsy enough to forget you're in the middle of the city. The amenities are excellent, but not the most wheelchair friendly. It's pet friendly and allows RVs/trailers AND tents. There are also plenty of hook ups available. Really reccomend this place to anyone who wants to try camping for the first time and just anyone who enjoys camping.

Wonderful. We had kayaks dirt bikes and bicycles. Had great time with all. The way this park is set up you are in the woods and across the street from lake and around the corner from a grocery store. I can't wait to go back

We've stayed here a couple of times. The sites are clean and easy to park the trailer. It is close to the street which provides easy access to the lake. The noise from the cars doesn't interfere with a peaceful evening.

I have been coming here for years just before HAN in Reno.. GOOD POINTS Large camp spots. Mostly good people for short talk witch is good for me. I travel alone and not much of a talker any ways. I enjoy kicking back and having a few beers and enjoy the views. Beach, coffee shop and sandwich shop across the street. I do take the bus and the stops are right by the site. BAD POINTS..Got up 7:00 A.M and somebody comes running over and asking when I was going to leave so he can have my spot. Did say he did not want to rush me, but still...To early in the mourning for this..Did not even have a cup a coffee yet. People walking through your camp site. One time kids bouncing beach balls off a brand new 2008 twin turbo F-350 truck did not say nothing for I figured the parents would. LIKE REAL GOOD PARENTS SHOULD. Finally I did and the lady thought I was just wanted to complain about something. I had explain to her and her husband along to her family THAT I WORKED VERY HARD FOR WHAT HAVE HERE. If they like to tare stuff up they need to do them self a favor and tare up there OWN stuff instead of others. If you have a problem, the park managers make it sound like don't come to me with it. Homeless people just right outside the park at your bus stop and at night. SO WATCH YOUR STUFF. I will continue to come here though I don't spend much time at the camp site during the day.....8-7-17 follow up..this was by far the best stay I had in the 7 years I have stayed here. Did ask a host about the internent and told me to enjoy my pain in a rude type way (she was a red headed lady) the other host on D loop they are very nice people and really enjoy there jobs. Go to them if you have any concerns. This is the first time for the internet issues..No big deal..go to the library and they will let you use the computer there and you don't need a card. Will be back again. Thank You too the lady that checked me in without me getting out of my truck. Very Very nice stay...can't wait tell next year. See you then. If it was not for that Red headed host (enjoy your pain)remark it would have went to 4 stars. For now we will keep it at 3. 7/6/2019 WAY BETTER STAY . Have not seen any homeless people out side the park at all. Already booked for next year. Bike shop across the street is great. The bus system has in proved 100% No hassles.Went to 5 STARS.Thanks 7/8/19 wont take any stars away for the Sargent Carter at the front gate . Really makes you feel at home. Likes to profile people. I do travel alone. People there do not like that. They don't have to worry. I am a law abiding citizen and NOT WEIRD IN ANY MANNER OF ANY WAY. PLEASE DO DON'T PROFILE PEOPLE IN LESS YOU KNOW THEM. PLEASE DON"T PROFILE ME. I enjoy coming here for health reason that I received defending this country during the cold war. When I leave I do feel better. The work I did able YOU to do what you do today.

Great family camping spot. We had an electric hook-up and a beautiful view of the lake. There are restrooms with flush toilets and showers. The staff was very friendly and let us check in early. Keep in mind that it is natural camping ("dirty"), but if you are ready for that, it is excellent.

What a great place! The staff is nice and helpful! A big shout out to Shane for helping us park and get situated. It snowed last night and he was there first thing this morning to answer questions and make sure all was well! We will be back! Thanks Shane for your great Hospitality 😀🥂

This place is great it’s right across from the water and lots of fun things to do walking distance and there is a ice rink in the park the only thing that would make it perfect if the added full hook up they have water and electricity but you have to dump at the dump station but other than that this place was great

Awesome, it's our second visit in a row on each of the labor day weekend for past two years. Love the location and the peaceful atmosphere around the campgrounds. Must visit. We are recharged after this cool vacation.

It's a full service campground, speaks for itself. Great location. Hot showers. Bathrooms cleaned daily. Stow your food in vehicles there can be bears despite the urban feel of south lake.

Great camp site. 2minute walk from the Lake. You can see the Lake from most sites. It feels like you're in the forest, yet you're on a main street in South Tahoe. Liquor store across the street. Casinos ten minutes away. McDonald's 5 minutes. Awesome.
