Fawn Lakes Campground

Fawn Lake campgrounds are my absolute top favorite sites to camp on. I will always return as many times as possible in my lifetime! Definitely refer all my family and friends. My husband, our little girl and myself adore the space & the hostes. Great family fun, fishing on-site and plenty of peace to be had there.

We enjoyed this area a lot. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, cool nights, great trails, relaxing near a creek, and right near the town of Red River. Will definitely go back again!

Amazing experience, so sad it’s closed due to fire restrictions but my family and I had such an amazing time. Two small lakes in walking distance from campground beautiful sites and hiking trails. Hosts were amazing. You just can’t go wrong.

We did not camp here but came to go fishing. Lots of pot holes in the campground makes driving harder but the campsites are right on the Red River. They are close to each other but manageable.

Arrived on Sunday after what normally is a busy weekend and the campsites where beautiful, restroom well kept and cleaned daily. Only down fall the lakes are closed! Outside of human control. Great camping!

Beautiful hiking trail and nice campground. Only open during the summer months for campers, but trail available year round.

Excellent experience!! The camp sites are oversized, heavily shaded, really clean. We were right by the river, camping with two small grandsons. We had a great time!! Fawn Lakes are a short walk through the woods. We are going back this year, but won't be camping (staying in town). Had to promise the grandsons we would picnic and fish at Fawn Lakes one whole day. Wonderful trip, can't wait to go back.

Cozy spot along the river, and super close to town. The host, Robbie, was super friendly and runs a tight ship. We showed up unannounced to tent camp on a Friday in July and got the last available spot. It was right by the road, so there was some road noise at night, but mostly it was clean and peaceful tucked under the pine trees and aspens. The picnic table and fire pit are on a small concrete slab, which was nice since we’re kinda neat freaks when we camp.

Fantastic campground. Clean toilets (pit toilet). No showers. Nice hosts. Red River flows through campground and along some camp sites. The Fawn Lakes are no more. They appear to have washed out some time ago. Short distance from town.

Great state campground. Site host was very helpful. Our rig is 40 feet plus a dingy. Too big for this place.
I would not camp here with a rig bigger than 36 feet. The turns are too tight.
We were lucky with the host who got us into the only spot we could shoehorn into.

Clean pit toilets, beautiful setting on the river, close to town of Red River.

Nice little campground. A little close to the road, but hardly noticeable. Several tent only sites right on the river makes this a great spot to camp.

This is the best campground I have been too so far! Right by the stream with walking trails and so much more!

Awesome place cleanest camp ground restrooms I have ever seen and the camp ground managers where friendly and helpful we will definitely be coming back
