Pony Canyon Motel

Comfy cozy rooms #1 has two rooms, the bed I slept in was very comfortable. Wifi works great! I highly recommend staying here. Price was very reasonable.. safe travels!!

Love this little place. Love the woman who takes care of it as well. Close to everything and you are never bothered . Clean. Warm and very cozy . Always clean. This place is wonderful . Thick towels . Hot water to no end . Furnace that never gives out . Dog friendly which is the best . Thank you so much madame. I have a wonderful stay every time . No complaints here!

Very helpful during a storm. Myself and husband got stuck in Austin Nevada on New Year's Eve, very stressful drive in horrible weather conditions. The keeper was so sweet and comforting during our stay, she kept telling me everything was okay. I needed to hear it.♡Small but clean and cozy. Thank you so much.

Very clean little rustic motel right next to Champs Market. Four pillows and high quality heavy bedding that didn't leave me feeling like I had just a sheet over me. Ample thick, high quality towels, Terragreen amenities. Needs more outlets though. Single was small but big enough. Squeaky clean, cold fridge. I'd stay again.

Just what we needed when the weather didn’t cooperate and we found ourselves not wanting to sleep in a tent. We got the bigger room which had two singles and a queen which was perfect for our group of 4. Though it’s dated, everything was clean and worked well. The owner was great and so sweet.

An absolute darling of a hotel in a town with few lodging options; rooms are period late-70's but exquisitely cleaned and comfortably appointed. Our pet friendly go-to when visiting Austin.

We were on our way to Oregon and a snow storm stopped us in our tracks. I was driving a 36 foot uhaul truck with a car trailer attached. The owner was outside plowing and she was so nice. The next door business went and plowed a space for me to park the truck and treated us like we were family. The room was nice and cozy, a family room, and we really appreciate all they did for us in that small but welcoming town. Five stars all day. Thank you

As the owner of the motel next door, I’d just like to say what a nice clean place the pony canyon motel is. It is also the only motel in town that takes pets. Kim, the owner, is extremely kind, and she has been taking great care of this motel for 30 plus years. Don’t hesitate to book a room with her!

I am often skeptical of motels on the road... I’ve had some bad experiences. But this motel was not that. I could feel that someone really cares and is paying attention to the small details. I could feel the love! We only spent a night here on our way through town and I’m glad we got to stay here. Plus our dogs could stay with us!

I had been traveling back across the country a few years ago from a job in California going home to Ohio. And my family and I had been caught in a snow storm . No other motel in hundreds of miles had been open but I knocked on the door here and was treated like family. I travel.constantly for work and have live in hotel most of the year. But this place had made me feel like family being that willing to wake up at 3 in the morning to rent us a room. The rooms are average with quality but the atmosphere and willingness to be friendly made me feel like had never left home. Being snowed in during a snowstorm with my family in this place and the woman working that night made an experience I will always remember. Not to mention after asking if I could buy alcohol in that town offered me a six pack of her own alcohol free of charge . I will literally go and stay here again some day even if work dosent bring me there I will make a point to stay there again.

Kim was excellent. While Austin does not have much going for it, the pony canyon motel is an excellent place to stay. The motel is an older place but Kim does a great job keeping the rooms immaculate and has an amazing sense of hospitality. She made a 10 day assignment in Austin comfortable.

We love this motel the lady that owns the place is the most sweetest lady she keeps the rooms nice and clean. Were able to have our dogs here which is absolutely awesome!!! We will continue to stay here everytime we go to Austin to explore the area...

Kim is absolutely the best! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Kim went above and beyond during our ten day stay at the Pony Motel. I highly recommend staying at the Pony if you ever find yourself in Austin.

Kim is a sweetheart and very dedicated to making sure the rooms are clean and comfortable. If you land in Austin for a night or a few days this is a good place to stay.

Although it was a little out dated, it had a lot of charm. Very comfortable and homey feeling. Very reasonable price. The lady who checked me in had THE BEST customer service. Will definitely go there if I need to.

Very friendly hostess in the front office. She gave us good directions for local attractions. They also have a friendly neighborhood cat who loves cuddles.

Nice little motel they are trying to fix up. Old, but it works. Also the owner waited for me till 2 am.... super nice lady.
