Super 10 Motel

My boyfriend is hard to please. He only stays in up scale hotels and resorts. This was his first motel. I was pretty worried about bringing him here. It's safe to say this motel has exceeded my expectations and my boyfriend hasn't complained at all. I got a little scared when we pulled up. There was only one car in the lot and all the other motels were packed. The warm welcome by the employee (or owner- not sure) made me feel better. I was very pleased to find out the room was only $40 (less than all the others). Things got even better when we walked into a very clean room with a working air conditioner, hot water and comfy beds. It's dated but that's what you get at a small town motel. Well worth the price. I highly recommend this motel for anyone passing through.

Classic "ma and pa" business with the best rate we found in town. The owners, a nice old couple called Smoky and Dianna, went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had a fridge, microwave, TV, and high-speed wifi. The place is about 90 years old, the owners explained, with many renovations done recently. The only negative was that the room had only a shower, not a tub.

The motel was very clean and very cheap ($37). It is managed by a friendly couple. I would certainly come back.

It's what you'd expect for $38. Clean, but nothing fancy. The towels were really small and clearly old, but I have no real complaints.

We stayed for 10 minutes. The rooms were dingy and dust bunnies were in the corners. WiFi did not work. We demanded our money back and owners refused. Learning experience for us. These people also own the motel across the street. I would skip both.

STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK! Traveling along I-80 heading back to Cali, all the Wendover motels were fully booked due to a livestock auction, so just before 10 at night we pulled into Lovelock and found that Super 10 had a room. After getting the key, I couldn't get the door knob to turn. The manager came by and after a short struggle with it, she was able to wrestle the door open. Once inside the room though, we then couldn't get the door to open from the inside! We were literally trapped inside. Good thing the place wasn't on fire! As it was after 10 by then, the manager had left and the stupid answering machine was full and would't accept any new messages. I'm sure this is totally illegal - a non-working door and no way to contact the manager? Anyway, no amount of jimmying and jiggling would get that door knob to turn, so my kid had to slide out the bathroom window, run around to the front of the motel and pop out the screen to the window by the door. With the screen out, we were able to get in and out of the room through the front window. Classy joint, huh? I felt like driving off after we finally extricated ourselves from that death trap of a room, but it was late and I needed sleep. So we stayed, yes, at our own risk. The room was clean, though the furnishings and bedlinen were Salvation Army quality. Oh, and the motel sits adjacent to train tracks, so you will get shaken awake sometime in the wee hours. Hope you don't have the same misfortune of needing a room and being stuck with Super 10 as your only option.
