Seriously the best place at Bear Lake! The beach is absolutely amazing! Part of the amazing part is that you can pull your vehicle right up on the sand and park like 20 feet from the water. You literally go out into the water like 100 yards and the water is still shallow! The kids love to play in the water and because of how shallow it is, it is fairly safe. Make sure you bring lots of water toys and sand toys! We play in the sand all day! I would make sure to buy a park pass in advance. The beach does fill up, especially on the weekends. This is the most fun at a beach in Idaho!

Great afternoon! You can drive onto the beach and setup your area! People brought grills and giant floats. Clean restrooms along the beach line. It cost us $14 and we had a blast!

Bear lake is beautiful it is the closest thing to a beach but sweet, it is big and you have many things to do like jet skis, kayak, paddle. One piece of information if you reserve the parking lot before going much better that way you ensure your space

Love this place. Have always been able to find parking. The sand is soft and beaches are shallow. The water is blue and Bear Lake is my favorite place on earth. Roads are closely patrolled en route, so follow the posted speeds.

Bear Lake is an absolute treasure nestled in the heart of Utah. During my recent visit, I was captivated by the serene beauty and pristine waters that define this natural wonder.

One of the standout features of Bear Lake is the exceptional cleanliness of its waters. The crystal-clear lake reflects the surrounding mountains, creating a picture-perfect backdrop for a day of relaxation or adventure. Whether you're lounging on the sandy shores or diving into the refreshing water, you can be assured of a clean and inviting environment.

I was pleasantly surprised by the lake's cleanliness, which is a testament to the dedicated efforts of those responsible for its upkeep. The water was remarkably free of debris, and the shorelines were immaculate, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the beauty of nature without any distractions.

The environmental stewardship of Bear Lake is truly commendable. It's evident that the local community, along with visitors, hold great respect for this natural wonder and are committed to its preservation. The result is a tranquil oasis where you can connect with nature in its purest form.

Furthermore, the clean waters of Bear Lake make it an ideal destination for various water activities. Whether you're kayaking, paddleboarding, or simply enjoying a leisurely swim, you can fully embrace the lake's allure with peace of mind.

Overall, I highly recommend Bear Lake to anyone seeking a pristine getaway. Its exceptional cleanliness, breathtaking views, and the tranquility it offers make it a true gem in the heart of Utah. Visit this remarkable destination and let its purity leave an indelible mark on your heart.

The North Beach State Park on the Idaho side if probably the best beach at Bear Lake. The lake this year is completely full and the majority of the other Beaches are under water right now. It costs $15 to get in with your car and it's first come first serve beach parking. The line wasn't too long to launch our boat and the water was warm enough to swim in. If you have a utah or a Idaho fishing license you can fish anywhere and on any side of this beautiful lake. I didn't catch anything this time but I did see some big fish jump out of the water, so they are there, I'll try again next year!

The sand is soft and perfect for castles. The water is shallow for a long way out, so it stays pretty safe for kids. It can get crowded, but if you get there before noon, then it's pretty easy to get a good spot. Bring your own shade!

It's large enough for you to park your vehicle and set up your stuff by the beach.
It Is safe for children to play in the water, because the water is shallow and has a gradual incline.
Children playing in the water must always have adult supervision.

Had a blast! Absolutely the nicest beach here @bear lake. Plenty of room drive right up to water & park. Grab the floats or paddle boards and put plenty of sunscreen on, do not be fooled by the cool water into thinking you aren't getting sun, almost everyone got burnt.

This is our favorite beach to hang out in and launch our boat. You can make reservations now! Water is low this year but I love Bear lake and the color of the water is so blue! My kids have fun in the sand here and water.

Best place to go at Bear Lake. The beach is always nice. The water is super shallow. It is great to park a boat in the shallow water and people can walk back and forth between the beach and the boats. The boat ramps are great. If you have an Idaho State Parks sticker entrance is free if not Idaho residents pay $10, out of state is $20.

Fun place to come on a hot day, but the new way to reserve a spot (to get in, not literally a place on the beach) is annoying. And they raised the rates from $15 to $20 per vehicle if you are not from Idaho.
9/23 they could use some improvements and updates now that they are raking in more money, but still plenty of beach for everyone.

This beach is great for all. It's a slow slope so great for young kids. It can get busy so make reservations. If you have a state park pass it's only 3 dollars. It is a hike to the outhouse so if you have elderly people keep that in mind. The water is not as cold as I thought and it was smooth.

Absolutely beautiful lake. So very blue. You can park right on the beach. The water at this spot stays shallow for a long ways. My daughters wadded pretty far out and it was only to their knees. Went on a weekday in the summer and had no trouble getting in.

An absolutely perfect beach day excursion! The kids love playing in the sand, the water is shallow for little kiddos and "warm" especially compared to mountain lakes. The water is clear to practice snorkeling. One of our favorite afternoon adventure locations. Bring sand toys!

Great beach other than the sand flys. You can drive right down to the water if you have a 4x4. We saw several minivans stuck in the sand.

Hidden gem! Day use prices are only $5/vehicle. Almost two miles of beach to choose from. There are some picnic tables, some grills and a few pavilions. Pit toilets along the road about every 1/4 mile. No dogs on beach.
Summer of 2019 the water was very high at Bear Lake. It didn’t take long to unpack and get down to the waters edge.
The summer water temperature is ideal for swimming. This beach is shallow for several hundred yards. About 1/4 mile out it’s about 6’ deep. The little ones can walk out forever before it’s too deep for them.
Great place to hone your paddle board or kayak skills. Water is shallow enough to make getting back on a board easy.
Crowded every weekend so get up early. Holiday weekends can fill up and they will not allow new arrivals in until the afternoon.

Great place for families we showed up later I. The day to make sure these boys were comfy and it was perfect! We got one of the covered areas to relax under and we were able to launch the jet ski’s not too far from us! It was a beautiful day to go out!
