Baked Downtown

Friendly and speedy staff. Greattt croissants and breads. The cappuccino was good. The raspberry croissant was great - super flakey and fresh.
Day old baked goods are half off. I love the fact they have a small toaster oven for you to heat up your food if needed! Very small venue, and the master baker was on Netflix! Wow.

Just an incredible downtown gem. The pastries and other baked goods are incredible, and every time I have visitors from out of town, my go-to for impressing them is to put out a plate of Baked's macarons. The owner and staff also stand out as an excellent group of people—yes, I'd still come here just on the food alone, but what really brings me to visit Baked as frequently as I do is that I know that the Baked family will ALWAYS send me out of the shop with a big smile on my face, and that's made it an essential part of my week.

This adorable quaint café off the side street in Greensboro it’s a perfect place to get a quick coffee and a delicious snack! Alex is a delight, and makes a mean latte!

Ordered the lavender latte, which was just the right amount of sweetness and lavender flavor. And enjoyed a couple pastries, including the goat cheese pesto prosciutto croissant, which was recommended to us and did not disappoint!

Cute pastry/coffee shop downtown. Tucked away in a clean alley. Matcha Latte w/Almond Milk was yummy. (Could've used a little more matcha powder) Great Customer Service!

Taylor is incredible to work with! We used her for all our wedding festivities and every time she delivered exactly what we wanted! Super reliable, professional, friendly, and really makes the ordering process fun and stress-free. I'll continue to use her for any occasion in the future!

We happened to stop in during a day trip to Greensboro, so glad we did. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Everything we got, lattes and assorted pastries, were amazing! Our only disappointment was that we didn't realize what time they closed and didn't pick up more treats to bring home with us. We will definitely go back for any trips through the area again and recommend to friends!

Great bakery down a cute side alley. Fresh items at reasonable prices!

This small side alley spot off Elm has been home to a number of bakeries over the years, so here’s hoping that Baked manages to stick. From selection to quality to friendly service, Baked is a blessing.

While Baked is not the only place in town to offer croissants, it stocks several varieties, sweet and savory alike. Add to that homemade pop tarts, macarons, cupcakes, cookies, breads (day-old loaves are discounted), and coffee drinks, and you’d be hard-pressed to find something that doesn’t look good.

Across two visits, I’ve had a chance to try a number of Baked’s offerings, and there was nary a dud among them. For those wanting a classic French croissant, the pan au chocolat will deliver buttery, flaky goodness. The Full Monty (vegetarian sausage, cheese, and hasbrown) is a fantastic breakfast option and not nearly as heavy as it sounds. Even the Smores brownie was better than it had any right to be.

If you have the dollars to spend and the calories to spare, you won’t miss either after a trip to Baked. It's become a must for visits to Downtown Greensboro.

On the Almond Croissant scale of 1 to 10, these were a 9, surpased only by Bouchon in Yountville, California. The only criticism is that the vanilla level might be slightly too high (but this is really nitpicking). Well done!

Taylor, the owner and main baker, is extremely talented and very sweet. All the baked goods I’ve tried are delicious, fresh, and reasonably priced. The coffee is great as well. (I highly recommend trying their take on pop tarts. So good.)

I have been getting cakes and desserts from the owner, Taylor, for years for every special occasion I’ve had, including my wedding. Each order was custom and it is seriously amazing how well she is able to understand exactly what you are asking for and create just what you wanted. Talented is an understatement! The shop is great-they do the custom cakes in addition to other baked goods like breads, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, cookies and they even have some lunch items. And they have great coffee-the lattes are the best. By far the best bakery around!

We hired Baked Downtown and Taylor to bake the wedding cake for our daughter's wedding in January 2021. From the initial tasting in the Spring to the first cut at the ceremony, we were so pleased with the taste and design of the cake that Taylor provided. When our daughter first visited her studio a sample display grabbed her eye. The taste of her samples solidified her decision. We highly recommend Baked Downtown to anyone searching for a wonderful centerpiece at your reception. After all, at the ceremony everyone wants to see the bride. At the reception, everyone wants to see the cake.

Taylor has made birthday cakes for our daughter, and she never disappoints! We give her a theme our daughter has requested, and Taylor’s creativity and imagination start the magic. The cakes are always gorgeous and above and beyond my expectations. And the best part: they are just as delicious as they are beautiful! I highly recommend For Goodness Cakes!!

Taylor knows her stuff, and the staff have always been extremely personable and helpful. My wife and I have never had a bad item from Baked, and would specifically recommend the macarons or house made pop tarts! Baked is a welcome addition to downtown and my wife and I always look forward to swinging by!

I was very excited to hear about the bakery downtown. This past Saturday I made a visit and purchased the sourdough bread, almond croissant, butter croissant and a danish. I wish I had been visiting the bakery the minute it opened. I plan to visit it as much as possible. It is obvious the pride they take in their goods. I was impressed with the quality of what I purchased and can't wait to try more.

Needed some caffeine. The coffee was good. The baked goods were better. They were decorating an awesome cake in the back. The girl who helped me was adorable. Cute little coffee/bake shop.

I can't get enough of croissants. My favorite is the spinach and feta croissants. Me and my co-workers bought a little of everything this morning and we loved it all.
The owner is sweet as cookies. She is very pleasant and I I just love the space.

This place was so good! The customer service was amazing! Rebecca helped us out and she pointed us towards the homemade pop tarts! She was so nice and they were amazing! Definitely recommend!
