Golden Eagle RV Resort & Grill

Stopped at the Grill for dinner. Friendly, personal service. The menu and Chef are amazing and unique! Fair prices and good vibes. We had Rhonda’s BBQ Pizza, Mango Habanero Wings, Gumbo, Chicken Finger Plate, and Skillet Corn. EVERYTHING was delicious! We’ll definitely be back when we’re in town!

Nathan and his wife Lisa are the greatest!! Best camp host our family had ever had. They have different activities every nite of the week. The restaurant on the property has a chef that really can cook. Gumbo on Saturday night is better than any ive had in LA. If your in eagles nest golden eagle is must stay.

Grounds of rv park are clean and well maintained. Grounds workers are very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The grill had a good selection of food. Staff went above and beyond and we were very pleased with our service. Thank you for the wonderful service

This is a very clean RV park, the staff is very friendly, and the lots are quite nice. It has a restaurant on site that's very nice also. The owner even loaned me an electrical adapter when I didn't have one, and gave me some advice on camping. Bathrooms are kept clean and are well built.

Had an amazing two days at this park. We walked around the village of Eagle Nest and it is perfectly situated right off the highway along the Enchanted Circle. We had some issues with our rig the morning of our departure and the owner was able to help us trouble shoot the problem and get us fixed up and on our way. Beautiful views, about a mile from Eagle Nest Lake State Park, they have a nice, quaint store and diner, and the staff/owners were some of the nicest folks we have ever met! Highly recommend!

Great spot, great service! I highly recommend. My wife and I stayed here and were impressed by the beauty of the location directly across the street from Eagle Nest Lake. With the background of mountains to the East and West this is a little bit of heaven in Northern NM.

I can't say enough about Nathan and Lisa. (The owners) The are not only great host, but humble host too.

They have a Grill (good food, wine, and beer) Small store. Propane service. Very clean bathrooms. And Laundry.

The WiFi is super fast. We were also getting 5G on our cell phones.

We had never used our Fifth Wheel in really cold weather, but were considering moving to Eagle Nest so decided to winter in our RV there to make sure we Texans could survive. The proprietor, Nathan, went above and beyond by giving advice while we were preparing, helping us in every way when we arrived at Golden Eagle RV Resort, providing frost-free faucets, and on and on. (We loved that Angel Fire Ski Resort is only 10 miles away, and skied 30 days this season!). Now that the snow is gone, we look forward to the grill opening, the free lake and other tours provided by the Resort, the Market Days events, and the live entertainment. Nathan and Lisa are the BEST! We love this place! Hot tip: you should make your reservation in advance. Golden Eagle is so fabulous it fills up—many are return visitors.

My fiancé and I stayed here for about a month. We were moved to go work on the fires out there.
We chose this place because of all the positive reviews.
Nathan & Lisa we’re amazing with us- we’re brand new trailer owners and completely clueless to something’s… they were both so helpful and were open to help us whenever asked. Anytime we saw them we were greeted with a smile.
There’s 2 other lady’s that work up front, & helped us clean the black tanks— they educated us so so well, give us tips and tricks.
The views were absolutely breathtaking.
The park itself was awesome too.
Showers, (extremely clean, and very nice) We had absolutely no issues with the Wi-Fi, it was quiet, and clean, &on sight laundry.
We were very pleased with this park, the owners, staff & New Mexico all together.
We were so sad to leave, but will return hopefully sooner than later!

We stayed here for the last 2 weeks of August of 2020 to avoid the 100+ degree heat in Texas. It was a wonderful place to stay for this purpose. We had family located just 1/4th a mile away, so we spent more time with them than in the park. However the services are good and the staff was very friendly. Be aware that the pull through sites are very close together, but very easy to pull into. We had a bus on each side of us, but everybody was nice and it was very quite at night. I won’t hesitate to stay here again when passing through.

We actually haven't stayed here yet. They were booked and I can see why they have the best reviews. We had some issues with our rv and Nathan came and assisted us and got us going with our water, he showed us rookies some key things and had a great attitude. We will be staying with them soon. Lisa was very kind on the phone too about reservations. If you want good, honest people to stay with this is where you want to be!! Thank you so much! PS. They have great fishing advice and enjoy taking out their guests to catch some!

We had a wonderful stay at Golden Eagle RV park. The nicest most generous people work here. They came to our rescue and fixed a flat tire. The park was clean and the view was gorgeous. We fished at the lake and it was very relaxing. I highly recommend this be your choice for your stay. At night they built an awesome fire and had a one man band playing. The music was great. This stay will be one for the books and we will return soon! Thank you Golden Eagle RV staff for everything!

The hospitality at this place is fantastic! We've had a wonderful time. Stayed two nights but easily could of felt comfortable staying much longer. The proximity to the beautiful lake and mountains make this one of the nicest campsites we've ever had the pleasure of staying at.
We'll definitely return!
As a bonus, there is a beautiful little store that is all kinds of items from food stuffs to amazing handcrafted jewelry and knives... You really won't believe the selection until you see it...

We are an older couple. This has been our fifteenth year at Golden Eagle RV Resort. We keep coming back year after year, made many friends. They are like our family.

The new owners, Nathan and Lisa give outstanding service to all their guests.

This year the day we arrived, we watched Nathan fix the brakes on a guest's RV.

When did you ever see a RV park owner do that for a guest?

Furthermore, he did it from the goodness of his heart, just because it was the right this to do.

Another day, Lisa, Nathan's wife, knew we were looking for a piece of important mail. As soon as it arrived, Lisa made a point to personally bring it to us.

Since they have owned this park for two years, they have made physical and customer service improvements which have brought the park to a higher dimension enjoyment for us. And like our old friends we enjoy so much, we consider Nathan and Lisa our family.

If we could give more than five stars for excellence, we would!

5 Stars! I was able to reserve a monthly RV spot during winter. Affordable rates and very friendly and relaxed staff. They took the time to answer my wife’s concerns about weather and icy roads, as well as mine about propane.

I cannot stress enough on how the owners went above on beyond to make our stay an amazing experience.

They had planned activities weekly to keep everyone engaged. From music on the weekends to tour’s around the area. Even a boat tour on the lake. And at no additional cost.

Nathan, the owner never passed our rig without stopping and saying hello.

Food is always hot & tasty! Breakfast lunch or dinner. Everything is cooked to order. Best blue cheese burger ever, Texan Meat Pizza is nice & spicy, & cheese curds are yum! Go online to Facebook to see hours of operation.

My wife and I arrived at Golden Eagle RV Campground at about 9:15 pm in the evening and I was pleasantly surprised to find a young man by the name of Nate still up waiting for me to arrive. He had me follow him to our site and then continued to help us get situated. I found this to be pretty much the standard as Nate was always helping someone in the campground.

We fell in love with Golden Eagle the year before when we met Bruce and Bridgette (Nate's parents) who told us they would be passing the campground on to Nate and Lisa. Sometimes you worry when you get that kind of news. But we found that nothing has changed in the warm and professional atmosphere, and the changes that Nate HAS made to the facilities are awesome. It's a fun and unique place to visit. Always something to do with local vendors showing up on one day with their homemade wares of jewelry, fresh bread, jams and beef jerky and then some really great musicians and singers on another evening. (Take some time to look at their events page.) And don't miss the evening movies. Just prepare to enjoy the fun.

One of the nice surprises for me was their Grill where you could enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. I started with breakfast and the sausage was the best I had ever eaten - and I'm a Cajun boy. I had a great cheeseburger for lunch and my wife had, she said, one of the best chicken salad sandwiches she had ever had - but were not able to stay for the beef brisket special for that week. Hopefully it will be back when we return. (I believe you can see a copy of their menu on their website, but the specials change weekly.)

In any event, we had a great time and will be returning in a few weeks for the balloon launch. I can't really add anything to some of the other nice reviews that give you more detail about the facilities, but Nate and Lisa were great and always accommodating - just good people and a joy to be around. We look forward to seeing them again. Do yourself a favor and spend some time at Golden Eagle RV Campground in Eagle Nest, New Mexico.

Just got back from my stay here. When I arrived I was greeted by lovely mountain and lake views. The employees couldn't have been nicer and the complete focus on the camper experience was definitely there. The breakfast they provided was amazing especially loved the burritos and biscuits and gravy. The farmer's market was a unique and enjoyable experience. 5 star would definitely come back again when I'm in the area.

Great spot, great service, would certainly recommend to a friend! My wife and I stayed here and were blown away by the beauty of the location and esp the service from Nathan and Lisa (owners). It is a cross the street from a state park and lake where you can hike or jog with your dog. The trail head is at the entrance of the Facility. While we were gone on a hike, a micro storm blew through while our awning was open. Nathen went out in the rain and strapped it down to prevent a very costly damage situation from occurring (wow) ! Wonderful people. The RV grounds are clean and recently renovated (2020). We will come back soon and only stay here with our RV. Eagle Nest, NM is a beautiful place for exploring and fishing and you won’t find a better place to base camp than Golden Eagle RV Park and Cabins.

Update; after a few more days things are even better. The Grille opened and has great burgers, excellent pizza and an evil handmade ice cream sandwich which is worth the 20 minute prep time.

PS) The WiFi and cell connectivity is excellent (4G LTE). Very easy to work from here (If so inclined)

This was our first year staying at Golden Eagle RV Resort with our RV club, Alfa Seeyas. The owners, Nathan and Lisa were very accommodating and treated us like family. They went out of their way to help our RV club in making everyone's stay rewarding and enjoyable. They provided excellent entertainment. I highly recommend staying in the RV park if you are ever in the area. You won't be disappointed.
