The Groome Inn

We are still in the midst of our stay, so this is like a midterm review. We are so impressed with the inn. Evie, the owner/caretaker was there to greet us after a long trip. So easy going and kind, she showed us to a beautiful room that was so comfortable. She recommended some places to eat and gave us the quiet solitude we needed to rest. She made a delicious breakfast of eggs and blueberry pancakes and a fresh fruit cup. We went out for the day and returned to freshly baked cookies along with the breakfast menu for tomorrow. Great place to stay!

The Groome Inn is truly such a unique and beautiful home away from home, and me and my boyfriends stay was 5 stars all around!! The staff are absolutely wonderful, the beds are some of the comfiest I have ever slept on, and the breakfast was out of this world! The entire house is truly as beautiful as the pictures look, and Elizabeth was so kind, and took such great care of us. Such a romantic place, We will definitely being staying again very soon!!

We found this bed & breakfast last minute. We arrived and it was more than we could have asked. Clean, beautiful, and better than a hotel. For most of our trip it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We had large breakfast each morning. Orange juice and coffee with a parfait to start. Then our main breakfast dish of scrambled eggs, a breakfast savory pastry or quiche with breakfast potatoes for the side. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful to walk. Our room was extremely spacious as well as the bathroom.

My husband and I stayed at The Groome Inn in November 2018 for our 1st wedding anniversary. We were able to stay in the bridal suite, which was lovely! We recommend this place to all our friends. From the view of the beautifully lit property as we drove up the driveway after dark to the comfortable bed and cozy fireplace in our room, the accommodations were romantic and enjoyable. The breakfast, cooked for us by the innkeeper, was delicious. We were greeted and treated with warmth and friendliness and we hope to stay here again in the future!

I’ve attended two weddings here. The venue is lovely and intimate. The wedding took place in a garden corridor. The bride entered down the beautiful curved staircase and then walked down the aisle. The bride and groom recited vows under a beautiful lush green arbor which was an amazing backdrop. The house was spacious and charming. Dinner was served after the wedding while photos of the wedding party were underway. We danced the night away with the DJ outside under the beautiful lights. When it was time to rest we sat on the wrap around porch in front of a water fountain. It’s a great place to attend an event. The wedding party stayed in the house through the weekend. There are 5 rooms and they were each unique. The rooms were all spacious and the bathrooms in each room were custom and luxurious.

It was wonderful. The host, Mary Kay is just delightful. The inn is so welcoming and relaxing. It's beautiful! My room was amazing and comfortable. First time I woke up without back pains. Breakfast was delicious! I had a great, relaxing time there and cant wait to go back!

We absolutely love hosting our Wren’s Nest Light & Lively Wellness Retreats at The Groome Inn. The venue is gorgeous. The location is peaceful. We have hosted 7 retreats at The Groome Inn and we have 4 more retreats scheduled in 2021! The owner Evie & the staff are so wonderful to partner with in creating an exceptional experience for our guests. We always look forward to hosting our special events and retreats at The Groome Inn!

What a beautiful setting.
Jimmie welcomed us warmly and we felt like 'part of the family'. She actually went shopping for a couple of things we mentioned we liked for breakfast! Great beds too! We'll definitely make this our regular place when travelling anywhere near Greensboro, NC.

Incredible, everything looked just like in the pictures. Very clean and spacious rooms. The innkeeper was friendly and made a different and delicious breakfast every morning. If you have the opportunity, this is the place to stay.

Had the pleasure of enjoying a graduation party this past week. Wow what a beautiful place. Not only was the inside beautiful but the outside was also beautiful. Lots and lots of space. You truly feel right at home.

My family and I use the Groom Inn as a special events location once a month. Gimmie is gracious and has a delightful way to make us always welcome and wanting to return. We look forward to it every month. Highly recommend for lodging or events. Tyler and Melanie Handy

We toured the Inn as a possible venue for our wedding, and it was amazing! We haven't set a date yet, but we are leaning heavily towards having our wedding there.

Beautiful location for an outdoor event. The house is large enough to hold a family event such as Thanksgiving or graduation celebration.

This is a beautiful place. We had a bridal shower there today and the inside and outside of The Groome Inn are wonderful.

We love the charm this place has! Great for a nice weekend away or a venue for life's big or small celebrations!
