Catfish Deweys

My family and I have been coming to Catfish Dewey’s for years, and it is amazing every time we come. When we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly hostess who took us to our table. You can call in or use OpenTable to make reservations. We called ahead to make our reservation because had a party of 15. Then we met our amazing waitress who handled our large party very well, and was very efficient. We ordered a plethora of food such as the gator bites, conch fritters, coconut shrimp, grilled shrimp, fried catfish, and seafood boil. Everything tasted great! This was my first time trying gator tail bites, and it taste like fried pork chops. The fried catfish has always been my favorite. It’s huge pieces of catfish, fried to a golden brown, and flaky. If you are looking for an amazing and affordable seafood, come to Catfish Dewey’s.

DELICIOUS!!! Didn't have to make a reservation since we arrived before 6pm. I had a catfish poboy that was very good. My husband had the shrimp and grits with sausage that was amazing! We'll definitely go back!!!!

This restaurant is called " Catfish Deweys", but, I guarantee you will try more than their mouth watering catfish!! They have a special everyday, ranging from crab legs to baby back ribs! I had some shrimp and catfish (grilled and blackened), cole slaw and collard greens, that'll make you order some " to go"!! Everything is seasoned so well, that it's " finger licking" good!

Fast friendly service. The blackeyed peas were excellent. Catfish and stone crab is great too — it was all good! Coming back for all-you-can eat snow crab Thursday LOL Seems there is a different all-you-can eat every day!

There are so many positive things to say about this place. The meal was delicious. Puppies that are quiet are wonderful. The shrimp are wonderful! For three people, including booze, I paid roughly $150, which is really not bad for the area. We were immediately made to feel welcome and at home by the friendly staff. Will return without a doubt! I'm grateful to you everyone!

1st timers on vacation and did not disappoint! Server was attentive and very informative. Hush puppies and cole slaw for everyone was so good. All you can eat catfish was on point with greens, my girls loves the crab legs and huge side salad and i thoroughly enjoyed my fried shrimp and grits.

Got the Thursday night special of all you can eat snow crab. Food was great. It was very busy and the waitress did a great job at managing the tables. This was my first visit and I definitely will return in the future. The hush puppies are amazing too!

Restaurant serving casual seafood. has a classic appeal, and the cuisine is decent and affordable. The service was also excellent. began to eat before I snapped the pictures. When the presentation got to the table, it looked better. Since this location is frequently busy, plan your arrival time appropriately.

I have never seen a waitress work harder before. This place was so busy and the waitress was non stop but eveything was amazing. Got all you can eat shrimp and catfish and barely finished my first plate there was so much. Good tasted great and service was amazing especially with how busy they were.

Excellent service, excellent food, unfortunately, this gentleman and his family next to us took advantage and scammed this business. Shame on them. Warning to other restaurants in the area.

All we can say is WOW, WOW, WOW! Our family came here for dinner with friends who frequent the restaurant. They told us there was one stipulation, and that was we will only stay for dinner if Marta will serve us. Boy, we are so thankful she was working. She is by far one of the greatest waitresses we have EVER had… and we have traveled the entire country and abroad.
To the owners- I hope and pray you know how lucky you are to have such an incredible server working for you. She is quick, smart, friendly, efficient and always going the extra mile for her customers. We will be back!!!! But only if it’s a Thursday- Saturday.

We received a gift card to go here. I loved the cabbage salad and hush puppies they served us right away. My husband and I shared the seafood combo. The food was delicious! More than enough food for the two of us. Loved the Cajun sauce. Everything was fanastic! Will come back again!!

The food was delicious. Simply, fantastically, delicious. I especially loved the cole slaw and the collard greens. Best collard greens I have ever had, and I lived in GA for awhile. The service was prompt and friendly. Atmosphere is simple, old Florida, but clean and pleasing. The price was incredibly affordable. I hadn't been here in probably 10 years and they have made some significant improvements. Loved it. We'll be back soon!

First timers on holiday, and they didn't let us down! The waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. It was delicious cole slaw for everyone and cuddly pets. I loved my fried shrimp and grits, and my children loved the crab legs and large side salad. The all-you-can-eat catfish was also excellent with greens.

Great dinner tonight at Catfish Dewey's in Fort Lauderdale. It's the end of Stone Crab season, so we went there to enjoy that, and also Snow Crab Legs.

Jessica was our server. She was very busy, yet super organized and efficient. As soon as we sat down, she brought us our drinks, along with complimentary hush puppies and coleslaw. All dinners come with a side, so we had french fries and macaroni and cheese.

Got to meet the owner, Dewey, and told him how much we enjoyed the food and the place. We are looking forward to going back again soon.

The food was great, oysters and shrimp fried to perfection 👌🏽. However, things did get a little hectic when the kitchen was backed up for half an hour due to "lost" tickets, and customers started to complain. It was Friday evening, and a crowd was to be expected. However, the staff held it together and pulled through to get the customers served the best they could. I'd definitely go back, just a little earlier, to beat the crowd or call in my order for pickup.

The Mrs found this place & Wow what an awesome spot. I had the tuesday shrimp special-all you can eat-with the catfish, the Mrs had the stone crab. The stone crab is seasonal, so be sure to check before you go!! If you get any of the specials make sure you get the grits, they are the best I have ever had, anywhere, hands down. Parking is limited but they have an attendant to help you find a spot, if needed. Put this on your list folks, you won't regret it.

Loved it! They brought out coleslaw and hush puppies before we even ordered! Catfish was amazing! Can't wait to bring my dad here, he will love it. Parking is a bit hectic. A few spots in front and on the side but it looked like people were parking in the gas station next to it too. It smelled a little fishy in there (if it wasn't obvious) I know my mom isn't a fan of fish but that catfish was amazing. I'd like to come back and try other things. I can’t say enough good things about this place. The food was amazing. Hush puppies are great. The shrimp are out of this world! Paid about $150 for 3 people including alcohol, really not bad for the area. We walked right in and felt so at home, the staff was so nice. Definitely will be back! Thank y’all!
