Key College was an amazing experience! It taught me all I needed to know about court reporting and how to be prepared for the field. It's a tough school, but that's what you want in a course like this. the teachers are great, the courses are thorough, it was just a good experience all around and I'm happy I chose this school. Now I'm out and successful, and I have them to thank for it.

Returning to school in my fifties was not an easy decision. I had over seven years invested in a fine arts degree with many credits incomplete, and a 25 year cosmetology/teaching career that could no longer support my educational goals, or myself in this economy. My home was foreclosed on, I was unemployed, and abandoned by my ex-husband. I was scared. Faced with few choices and little time to make an informed decision about my future, I sought help through the VA. Thanking God and myself for having served, I learned there are choices! The Obama administration had recently implemented Heroes for Hire and the VRAP program for unemployed US Veterans aged 35-60. I was 54. Selecting VA approved colleges in the area became easier when I made the choice on a career in law. Key college offered a sweet paralegal program, and all the support and encouragement I needed to work and study for two of the hardest and best years of my life. I wish to thank Deans Ron Dooley and Regina King Dooley for their guidance, encouragement, and confidence. I had never attended a private college, yet I wanted a campus experience, rather than online studies.

Through my academic studies, I formed what I believe to be lifelong friendships with fellow students and the faculty. We all encouraged one another to succeed. My core classes were smaller, sometimes two other students, and sometimes just myself and my law professor, Mr. Parmelee. The challenges are tough when it is one on one! I worked and worked, and worked again until I got it right. Without question I would recommend Key College for its top notch Court Reporting school, Medical, and Paralegal studies. As I graduate, I want to thank Mr. and Mrs. Dooley, Traci, Mr. Berk Parmelee, Mr. Gee, Julie Klitzner, and Doctoral Candidate, Sherri Tennesee for the best campus experience one can hope to have. Thank you!!!

Unfortunately I did not complete the entire course at Key College for several different reasons, most of which I can take absolute fault for. However, when starting, I was enrolling in a time that classes had already begun and I started 2 weeks after. I was never informed of what was needed or guided as to how to operate, log on and enter the online classroom in addition to navigating the program once inside. They offer "how to" videos,...if you can find them and throw you in a bit of confusion as to what it is that you will need as far as equipment, books and supplies. I realize as an adult I am sure one is able to figure this out, but in waiting weeks upon weeks to receive both the equipment and supplies and with no one at school aware of how to fix the issues that I was running into...you basically are set up to fail. Mr. and Mrs. Dooley are quite knowledgeable and try to assist but are rarely available and no one seems to know where to direct you. This school is unorganized and lacks the guidance to help their students on the road to success. I will say, in being unprepared by what is needed you will be quickly left behind in the dust and still looking for answers. Again, my fault for not completing the course, but I've learned a valuable lesson. The real Key in this College is to find a real college locally and to use accessible resources that are better prepared from a reputable college. If you attend here, make sure you have 3-4 hours a day to dedicate and that you do not enroll in the next earliest class if its under 3-4 weeks. You need ample amount of time to be prepared and to ask questions, because if you don't you'll be throwing your money to people that will be happy to take it and disappear when you need them...

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL! I have attended this program and have transferred out to another school..this school is all about money, outdated equipment, does not offer classes that you need, you do not get the help that you need or pay for, WAY to expensive for what you are getting..look into other programs before you decide to go to this school.
