Maria's Pizza & Italian Restaurant

I came in around two thirty pm and was sat immediately by a charming woman with a lovely smile. Food came out within minutes of ordering and the baked pasta was some of the best I have ever had. Overall a great experience and would come again.

Better calzone in town! Incredible tast and size.

This place has by far the best calzones I've ever had in my life, and they're perfect every single time. Their pizza is very good as well as are their pasta dishes. I have never had a problem with this establishment and would gladly come in here 3 times a week if money wasn't an object!

Ordered a pizza cheese steak with fried onions. When I got home, I found aI was given a pizza cheese steak with fried onions but minus the pizza sauce. Not a big deal because the sandwich was still tasty.

Servers were on top of everything , food came out hot and delicious, we had got two chicken Philly subs they were good giving 5 stars as this was a pleasant experience and the food tasted pretty good !

After long day at UVa hospital, we stopped here on the way home to dine on the patio with our dog. The shrimp scampi and Texas burger were both great. The server even filled my dog's water bowl! Very kind staff and it was much needed after our day. Not how we planned to spend our anniversary but thankful we did have a lovely dinner!

I order delivery from Maria's weekly, the food is fresh and the delivery guy is always quick and polite. The pizza and seafood are my go toos. I have yet to check out the sports bar but want to soon!

(1.5yrs later) Edit: I've checked out the bar a couple times and love it, great down home sports bar with great service. Plus after ordering for a couple years now I can say they do nothing but improve/listen to their customers to improve! My usual driver is my guy too! Always brings high energy and a great mood

Maria's is my go to for delivery! Maria's is always pleasant and the food is delicious. Delivery is normally within 30 to 40 mins.

We have been there a number of times. The service is great, the portions are generous, and the food is great!

Great meal today all around. Staff was super nice and we welcoming. We were looking for a good cheap meal while on the road and we were very satisfied with the quick service and delicious food - oh and super reasonably priced too with large portions. A great place!

Been going here for several years. Maria is a sweetheart. She doesn't just own and manage her restaurant she greets, serves, etc and the for is very good.

They were very friendly and I enjoyed when I got and it was very good.

We (4 of us) came into your restaurant yesterday August 1,2020. We were greeted by a young lady named Avery. She was the sweetest, kindest young lady I have ever met. I asked what things she does outside of work and she told us she loves chickens and that she would love to buy some so she can take care of them and of course shopping and learning how to draw. I'm so blown away how pleasant she was. I absolutely love her.
Her parents must be so proud. Now about the menu, It's huge I mean huge.Took us so long to figure out what to order. I highly recommend this restaurant, the food is phenomenal and so are the prices. Please ck them out and sit in Avery's section she is GOLD!!!. We will return over and over until we try everything on the menu which should take about 3 yrs lol.

Our family of 5 loves going to Maria's quite often. We always go to the bar side. Ice cold drafts, great beer prices & pizzas are vantastic. Food overall is good. Bartender Austin is incredible!! I say this from over 15 yrs of bartending pub experience myself. Great personality along with professionalism.

We like to sit at the bar, and eat our meal there also. Valentine's Day was kind of a nightmare, as most restaurants are on that night. Way understaffed and our wait time for food was long. But, the calzones we had were great. I've had Stromboli there before also, and it was very good. The bartenders and servers are working hard here.

I have lived in Charles city for 20 years and could never find a place to deliver until tonight. Much to my surprise, They drove 18 miles to get to my home with a pizza that was still warm and plenty of toppings. I ordered a Meat Lovers pizza that was better than some I grew up with in NJ. Thank you for a awesome dinner. High 5 stars!

Always professional and the food is great.

Went there yesterday. Bar tender was nice. Food did not take long. Food was dang good. And I could only finish one half of my chicken parm. My buddy ordered the small Calzon. He could only finish one half of his small. Lol they look out. Cold beet too.

Maria's friendly and quick service keeps them high on my list for those last minute cravings... Maria's Salad tops my list of go-tos !!!
