This type of business should never be allowed. I knew it was too good to be true when I was booking. At first it seemed as if the location was at the airport but it’s actually off site. I had pre purchased insurance online only to be told that I needed additional insurance to cover their car and when I opted to provide my insurance since I didn’t want to double pay for something only to be told I couldn’t and my only option was to pay for theirs which was $29/day. It took over 45 mins to get their rental and when they bring it out they are recording the exterior like they are waiting for scratches or damages so they can bill you later. If you hold in state license you are only 50 miles a day. They have some many stipulations with their rental that I was happy that I bought their insurance so I was at peace. I will never ever rent from such establishment and to put it nicely they are like spirit/frontier airliners, base/face value cheaper However you’ll be better off renting with the bigger and well known companies.

They charge you $500 dollars deposit. They say they’ll accept your insurance but then show you an example of “what your insurance must be”, and it says 300k for liability, and charge you for “the additional coverage”. You can’t leave the state with the car. Oh and as soon as you turn around they gather together to talk about you and criticize your discomfort about being charge with a high deposit. I’m not renting a Mercedes. I got a stained dirty corolla. Rear windshield is so dirty, you can barely see anything

I wish I had an option for negative rating. The staff is really rude. They will force you to take insurance inspite of telling that your current car insurance covers rental cars. They will impose all sort of hidden fee. They will not only have the card on file, but will charge you for deposits. I booked my car in premium segment, but they offered me Nissan Kicks, which apparently is experiencing electrical issues. There’s no way you can contact the location. They just have one centralized customer service portal and there’s no way you can get to speak to the actual people at the location. My car started experiencing electrical issues as soon as I got onto i95. And they are not even willing to exchange the vehicle. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!

Nothing is more important than your peace of mind. If something costs you your peace, it’s not worth it.

BEWARE!!! When booking online, it seems as if your pick up location is at the airport, but it's not. An airport bus will take you to the rental car shuttle, that takes you to the pick up location. The place was very nasty. Once you arrive, your hell begins! This was the worse rental car experience I've ever had. A negative rating would be too high. Be prepared to wait in very long lines; I was there over 2hrs. My $80 rental turned into $240, all because they force their insurance at the time of pick up, even though it's an option to use your own online. Also, be prepared to pay a deposit that's not mentioned at the time of booking. They held an additional $500 deposit on my credit card. Also, be sure to take videos and pictures before driving off with the vehicle and do the same when returning. I did not get the vehicle I booked online, but the one I received was decent.

How can I go lower stars? This place is a bait and switch scam operation preying on unsuspecting Ft Lauderdale visitors. STAY AWAY! They only allow you to use your own insurance if it’s on a short list they have and only if policy limits are high. Otherwise tacked on almost $500. I got back on the shuttle to the airport. AVOID AT ALL COST. It’s a bootleg setup in a double wide garage with a desk. Kickoff to a great vacation or visit dies here. It’s impossible to overstate how bad this is.

The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had renting a car!!! When you’re going on Vacation the last thing you want to deal with is the stress of these people, I’m telling you they’re HORRIBLE!!!! Paid 2 weeks prior to getting there and then had to pay again when we got there to pick the car up!!!! So many “fees” and the deposit they want ($1,000) is INSANE!!!! I asked for an infant car seat and the one they gave us was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. Would never put my baby in something so dirty and gross!!! And the base to the car seat was the wrong one so when I asked for a new one the guy told me to stop with the attitude and was the rudest person I’ve ever met!!!! These people are the biggest scam artists ever!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!!! Stick to the real car rental places that are located right at the airport especially if you don’t want your vacation ruined because of these horrible people!!! All in all we spent MORE money with these people than we would have if we had just gotten a car from somewhere in the airport.

York Car Rental: Never again! Not even at the airport Takes 2 shuttles to get to your terminal. If you don't have one of their approved insurance companies you will pay additional. Do not do Mystery Pick on Hopper... not worth the few bucks saved. Lesson learned... never again!

It took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get the car and even though I have my own insurance that I have used for rental cars over the last 10 years, maybe 100 times, they told me I couldn't use it and I had to pay an extra $89 for 3 days of insurance fees, the Priceline insurance was $13 a day so the math didn't add up, they told me that yes my insurance will cover it but I needed "extra" insurance, didn't make any sense to me but after waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes I just wanted to get out of there so I paid it. The car was dirty and the reason why it took so long to get the car is because they were pulling the insurance thing on everybody which slowed down the process. Oh yeah, this was not at the airport so on top of everything, it took 25 minutes to jump on the shuttle and go to the rental car location. Never renting from this company again!

I wish I could give negative stars for this company. First off they scam you for all it’s worth!!!! I pre booked a car online through my employer and paid about $100 then we get there and they want another $1000 as a deposit, and you have to show your own car insurance which isn’t stated on the website or anything and the $1000 deposit caught us off guard. So we finally after an hour of fighting with them and telling them we don’t just have 1 THOUSAND DOLLARS sitting around they offered us to pay $250 and they’d loan us the rest of the 1000 to get the car then they peanalized us 115 dollars for not having the 1000. After all that fighting we go to get our car and they gave us a dirty car seat and the base didn’t match the car seat!!!!!!!

Please learn from us and stick to the real companies in the air port they might be a little more expensive but you know what you’re getting with them!!

To sum it up: Terrible customer service, tons of hidden fees, had to wait almost an hour just for the shuttle, and a really dumpy location.
We came here to save $30 and it ended up costing almost $200 more than the convenient ones at the airport. Absolutely do NOT recommend!

Absolutely horrible!! Never ever go here !! It took forever to get my car, car came out and was all scratched up , 49k miles , cat hair on the floor !! We finally left , went down the road and sounded like brakes were rubbing and rotors were worn out . I called in , had to wait about 40 minutes on hold till I got thru to a live person . They said I could bring it back . Ugh , just got to Florida, didn’t want to have the wait , figured we could return later , cause we were not needing to drive around that day . Brought back next day and they had a forever line , !!!! This is horrible, we also noticed other guests in line were hazing issue’s as well !! This is wretched !! Don’t spend your vacation at this place !!

Stay away from this criminal Empire $2500 deposit to rent a used rental car their vehicles are old with high miles don't waste your money go to a real rental car company on property at FLL Told him I didn't want to buy the old piece of junk that's probably all they paid for it was $2500 stay away please take my word

Booked thru Priceline they did not have reservations also insurance card is no good they want declaration page also at counter they say only 50 miles per day a mess the man at counter was rude never rent from them
