Greenwood Bed and Breakfast

Had an absolutely wonderful stay here. Sarala is so friendly and hospitable, and you can tell she cares about all her guests and loves what she does. The rooms are beautifully decorated yet have a comfortable and homey feel. Unbeatable location, close to downtown and a gorgeous little park right across the street. And the rates are a steal considering the amount of personal service you get, complete with homemade breakfast. I would love staying here again next time I'm in Greensboro.

From the moment we pulled up, parked the car, rang the doorbell, and met the homeowner, Sarala, we felt like we had arrived at an exceptional and extraordinary home.

Sarala (and her husband) went out of their way to make us feel truly welcomed, especially when she broke the ice by joining us on the front porch while we were enjoying a late afternoon cocktail, beautiful weather, and lush gardens. Casual conversation ensued about the legacy of the house, and it was just a great way to be welcomed back to my hometown from over 40 years ago.

Our room was perfect for our needs, and the house itself was full of historic charm - lots of areas that celebrated the history of Greensboro AND this home, including a stay by former US President William Taft.

Breakfast was abundant and delicious, and every aspect of our overnight stay was beyond our expectations. Sarala even provided us with a travel care package of fruit and snacks for our drive home.

We highly recommend the Greenwood Bed and Breakfast for any visit to Greensboro, and I know we we will surely return!

We love staying at Bed & Breakfasts rather than hotel rooms and our stay at the Greenwood did not disappoint! We travelled for a long Labor Day weekend to do some furniture shopping; the Greenwood was an excellent location to allow us to walk into downtown Greensboro and a short drive (about 15 minutes) to our ultimate destination. Sarala is an excellent cook and truly exudes the best in southern hospitality. She could not have been more welcoming, as if we were a part of her family. From the text message wishing us safe travels and asking for an approximate ETA of our arrival, to packing us with water, fresh fruit and chocolate for our 7 hour drive back home. Her breakfasts were so filling, we never ate lunch a single day of our trip and had very late 'light' dinners. Would not hesitate to book or recommend the Greenwood.

Located in a great area. Sarala greets you out front and is extremely welcoming. Rooms are large, great mattress, outstanding towels. Amazing breakfast, spinach omelette was really good. Highly recommend

We stayed in the Begonia room, which is bright and airy and overlooks both the park and the front garden, which I had a great time exploring after breakfast. My photos don't do it justice.
This truly felt like a home away from home. I can't recommend it highly enough if you're looking for a peaceful, comfortable home base for your stay in Greensboro.

This is B&B is situated in a lovely neighborhood and in walking distance to Downtown Greensboro. The house is landmarked and even hosted President Taft back in the day. I stayed here for a long weekend, my first time in Greensboro. The house was well kept, hostess very nice and welcoming. She even made me a small cake after finding out my birthday just passed. Highly recommend this spot.

Sarala is an amazing cook and she goes above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome. Greenwood is located in a beautiful historic neighborhood near downtown Greensboro, walking distance to the baseball stadium, downtown shops and restaurants, and the local hospital. With beautiful Fisher Park right across the street, this is a fantastic place to stay!

I had an enjoyable stay at Greenwood Bed and Breakfast. The hosts made the house a home for me, really enhancing my stay in Greensboro.

The house is full of eclectic charm. The breakfasts were really nice. The furniture adds to the environment. And the various needs are addressed through my stay.

When staying at any bed and breakfast, you are hoping for a good community and a good location. Greenwood Bed and Breakfast serves this bed very well. I was able to walk to my various destinations and explore around. The hosts helped and made sure I was going the right way. Especially if you are new to Greensboro, I hope you will consider staying here.

Loved staying here. Historic bed and breakfast. Sarala is so nice and is a fabulous cook. Breakfast was wonderful. Neighborhood is quiet and bed sleeps great. We love coming back for every stay in Greensboro.

Host is wonderful and a great cook. Food is excellent and the room was cozy and romantic. We went for my wife’s birthday and she was very pleased. She received flowers in a glass and a balloon to keep. It’s also located close to plenty of shopping, restaurants and movie theaters. Highly recommended!

Had a very nice time at this property. The host was very attentive and pleasant to speak with. The food was wonderful! She even went out of her way to make our celebration special with a cake. I would definitely recommend this place.

Stayed at this amazing b&b on NYE for a Bassnectar show and wasn’t even charged extra for the holiday. Very reasonable rates and such a lovely experience. I have never written a review but was inclined to do so after staying here. The host was more than accommodating and went out of her way to make us AND the other guests feel like it was our own home.
It was clean and cozy and the breakfast was AMAZING! Staying here made our experience even more enjoyable and I will stay here hands down if I ever visit Greensboro again as well as recommend anyone and everyone visiting the area. A++++

We love the Greenwood B n B and stay there every time we visit Greensboro . Sarala is wonderful and her breakfasts are fantastic. The vegetable, herb and flower gardens are lovely!

My parents stayed the night here and to the best of my knowledge, enjoyed the evening. The house, itself, is beautiful. The couple who own and run it were wonderful and invites my wife and I to join my parents for breakfast. Breakfast was not a typical eggs and pancakes for us. We had roasted cauliflower and asparagus, potatoes and sausage, and chapati, as well as a carrots and raisins "dessert". All were delicious.

Note: if you're sensitive to smells, especially those of curries, this might not be the best place to stay.

I stayed here for 4 nights and I very much enjoyed my stay! The house was in a beautiful neighborhood, the room and house was cozy and comfortable. Sarala was a wonderful host and I would not hesitate to recommend or stay there again.

Very relaxing and pleasant atmosphere breakfast is always delicious Sarala is a wonderful person location is close to downtown and has a beautiful park across from the house. Sheila and I will be coming back again

AMAZING HOSPITALITY! Great room located on a quiet street. Breakfast was like a buffet with homemade food. If ever spending a night in Greensboro, this place is much more than advertised!

Great hospitality...the hostess is amazing...great quite location with a park direction across the street...and the made from scratch breakfast is definitely at the top of the charts...my new place to stay when visiting Greensboro,NC.

Was in town for a concert at the Steven Tanger Center and stayed here. It was cute and comfortable. Great to be within walking distance of downtown.
