Caribbean Resort by the Ocean

First time staying at the Caribbean Resort by the Ocean, when we travel to Hollywood Beach we stay at the smaller 'mom & pops' to get the charm and this was a nice surprise. Located one block from the broadwalk it was a 30 second trip. Parking would be an issue if you drove (we did a ride service this trip). Staff was super friendly, we were several hours early and they allowed us to store our luggage in the front office till our room was ready, allowing us to get lunch with out pulling our gear around. The room we had, 116 was just off the tiki patio and rather small but very accommodating for our needs, super clean with cold AC, kitchenette, stove, full size fridge and eating area, roomy shower (shower head 7ft off the ground, very high), the bed was super comfortable, seriously one of the best nights sleep I'd gotten in a hotel! The linens were so soft I took pictures of the labels to find some for home. The tiki bar area was a little dirty, trash on the ground (didn't look like anyone cleaned up in weeks) and overall showing it's age. The grill I would steer clear of, looks like a 3 alarm fire took place there. In the evening there was music and plenty of places to relax (later they had a lady singing to recorded music). Although our room was behind the tiki bar area it was quiet and comfortable.

Everything about our stay was great! We were here last March and are returning in April. The pool is huge plus! Everything about the hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Hotel is steps from the beach and tucked away enough to get away from the crowd if needed. Highly recommended!

Lovely place, good location to the action on the beach, good location to restaurants. Their office s onsite that is a bonus. the rooms were clean and nice and the bathrooms were great with good water preasure. we would come again

We stayed here several times, easy to Uber or taxi from Fort Lauderdale. We love little kitchenettes. We take an hour of our vacation to Uber to Plubix for groceries. Even though there are so many cool restaurants super close its nice to make a few healthy meals, have fruit, chips&salsa, bottled water, drinks in room.
There are tables outside we will eat at.
This place is steps from the ocean, restaurants and Broadwalk. We stayed in several different rooms, all good. This time we stayed on the side with pool. We usually don't use hotel pools, but we did a few times since it was heated. Pool is on the small side, but this is not a huge resort, so it's a good size. About a one minute walk to rent bikes. We will continue to stay here at least once a year.
Also, they have coin washer&dryer. Front desk&staff always helpful.

50 steps from the ocean, nothing wrong with this motel. You are paying low price for great location a minute from beautiful hollywood boardwalk. I did have a success interaction with the staff bit for most part pretty low scale service. Once again you are coming here for low price & great location. Walk to ocean in 90 seconds.

We found this place on line and couldn't understand why it was so inexpensive... We drove down to take a look and immediately checked in for two nights. We had a great , well equipped, although small room overlooking the pool (208) ... and loved it ... Almost front line to the beach ... Friendly staff... Great Tiki bar ... Still don't understand why it was so inexpensive, but I'm not complaining about that ... We will visit again ...

Our family trip was interrupted by a nasty rain storm that left us stranded for a few days. Unfortunately we didn't get to experience Hollywood Beach in all it's sunny glory.

Everyone at the Caribbean Resort were super accommodating and very friendly. Check in was a breeze.

Coco, our bartender was definitely a much needed ray of sunshine at the Tiki bar. She made all of us feel welcomed and ALWAYS went above and beyond to make sure were taken care of.. Coco, You Rock!!

The room was spotless & the location was absolutely perfect.. just steps away from the beach.

For the price you can’t beat this. Rooms were updated and clean. 30sec walk to boardwalk/beach. Easy check in/out. Would definitely stay again.

Beginning to end was AMAZING!! They let me check in 3.5 hours early since my flight was early! Glen the bartender was great and the other young pretty girl had the most welcoming personality ever!! They even held my bag when I checked out so I could go to beach until my flight at 7pm. I’ve stayed up and down A1A and this place is where I will come back too. I’ve even stayed at the Pelican although super nice and fancy this place was better all the way around!!

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days 3 nights and had a really good experience. We were able to check-in early at 9am (thank goodness) and the ladies in the front office were kind. Room service was minimal with only a towel exchange and trash taken out, but we didn’t need much more than that. The room was small, but complete with a gas stove, refrigerator, and microwave. The location was amazing, super close to the beach and boardwalk. Also the office has beach towels. I would likely stay here again!

Stayed there several times - i think that says a lot...each time we had a great experience. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Its not a 5 Star fancy place, but the location and staff more than make up for it. We will definitely be back again.

We loved the location and our room was great. Loved the kitchen. Also loved Glen at the Tiki bar. He's the best and very professional and talented. Definitely will be back

Absolutely fantastic. Were done looking for places to stay. They staff was great and helpful at every turn. The rooms were clean, spacious and very affordable. The walk to the beach was approximately 100 steps till our feet were in the sand, and up and down the boardwalk were great restaurants, shops, and ice cream parlors. Never had a problem with parking, and access was easy. We're staying here again in 3 months and have already reserved a room.

My Mother and I really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were so clean, beds extremely comfortable. Loved the shower stall, and dishes in the kitchen. The staff was very kind to accommodate my Mom (who is 94) to a room on the 1st floor. My Mom is an avid reader and forgot to bring something to read. She was able to walk to the office and the staff offered her a couple of paperbacks.

Staying at the hotel we were offered a 10% discount at 2 local restaurants which was very nice.

The only thing I didn't understand was having to pay for parking? I just thought that if you got a room at a hotel that parking was included.

Location, location, location! I was basically on the boardwalk. Tiki bar was one of the best nights I had on my trip. The bartender, Molly, was fantastic. Room was clean, staff were friendly. The room had a small kitchen, fridge, microwave, stove and all the things needed to cook. Plus all amenities for the bathroom and beach towels.... I was slightly skeptical about booking here with the price, but if I ever come back to Hollywood this is the only place I’m staying. Thanks for a fantastic winter getaway!!

My wife and I just returned from a Florida trip and we stayed at Caribbean Resort by the Ocean for five days (room 116). I must say it was a pleasure staying here. The room was good, nice shape, clean, and pretty modern. The kitchen was nice and made it very convenient. It is so close to the beach (less than a half block) and it's near a nice section. The resort had a great feel to it and is in a nice safe location. If I was asked what a negative would be...I mean the room had a musty smell but that is expected being so close to the ocean....not a deal killer.

I would recommend this resort. My wife and I are talking about our next stay at this resort. If you do stay there, give Simba (orange tabby cat they have at the entrance) a pet for me.

I've stayed at a number of lodgings up and down The Broadwalk and this place is now one of my favorites.
Excellent location, very centrally located. The reception staff was very friendly and efficient. Check in was smooth and simple. The property is very well maintained.
I shared a 2 bed room with my son and while the double beds are a little short for us (we're both 6'3") they were very comfortable. One touch I really enjoy - 4 standard sized pillows, per bed! I'm so annoyed with the little throw type pillows, that so many places seem to be using now.
There was a full kitchen, with sink, microwave, refrigerator, toaster and stove. Cabinets filled with dishes, glasses, cups and silverware. Granite countertop. Dining table with seating for 4.
The bathrooms are really small and we both hit our heads on the wall towel rack, but they are very functional and I appreciate the extra space allotted to the living area.
Great shops and restaurants are literally located just outside your door, as is a wonderful park with paddle ball courts, splash pad and an incredible outdoor gym.
Your stay won't be complete until you go to Florio's for breakfast and a gorgeous Hollywood sunrise!

I will say I was a little skeptical when booking this hotel, but it turned out to be really great. Great location, staff was friendly, rooms were clean. Very small rooms, but newly updated. All in all I was very happy with my 3 night stay. Would stay again

I absolutely love this place. The staff is friendly. They have a tiki bar and they're right next to florio's in the park. The property is clean and gorgeous. The rooms are all high-end and look to be remodeled. Definitely worth the money and I would recommend to anyone

Great place to stay. I stayed for 8 days. The room was clean the kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat with. The bed was comfortable and the staff is very friendly. The owner is nice and comes around to check to make sure everyone is enjoying their stay. Only one bad thing is parking. It's only steps from the boardwalk and lots of people come to this area. The parking is $15 per day. Most places include parking free.
