Wonderful place to stay. Affordable, accommodating, safe area, plenty to walk to, clean, quiet and has a pool! Close to grocery and central to all the happenings. I would stay here again! Margaret is a great host!

We have been quite often in Lauderdale and had already considered a few times to go to this pretty hotel, which we often passed while strolling, but had then always decided for our "usual" hotels.
This year, (un-)fortunately, we had bad luck with our booked hotel and had to look for a new accommodation at very short notice.

The owner, Margaret, went above and beyond to make it possible for us to stay at her Hotel and I have to say it was a wonderful week. The apartments (we traveled with our adult daughter and her husband) were both very clean, well sized and nicely furnished, a nice pool, wonderful garden area with seating and two grills completed the stay. We had such a wonderful time there, we will definitely be back again on our next visit.

I just wanted to thank Margaret for a great, clean room. Great water pressure, bed, equipped kitchen, and pool. Grounds are pretty. Gas grills. Didn't want to leave and hope to be back. Unlike some of these places in Lauderdale by the Sea, Margaret, the owner, wants you to enjoy your vacation and will accommodate you any way she can and is very personable. Thanks again.

We loved loved loved this place! The location was GREAT (close to restaurants, grocery store, the beach) and you can walk to just about everything -- we were thinking about getting a rental car but really glad we didn't. Margret was so sweet and helpful about answering any and all of our questions! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in a quieter part of town but still wanting some night life or activities only a couple blocks away. The room was clean and well maintained and had a full kitchen. The water pressure in the shower was also great! We will absolutely be back!

The room was very clean and well organized. It had a full kitchen with dishes so we could cook meals. It has a very nice pool that was nice too cool off in after a long beach day. The beach is only a 5 min walk from the inn and is a great location for anyone wanting to go to the beach or visit the restaurants nearby because it’s walking distance to just about everything! Staff was kind and very helpful. Would recommend staying here!

This place is amazing!! I’ve stayed in Pompano, in Ft. Laud, LBS, and other places nearby, and this is the coziest and nicest little place I’ve ever stayed at. The owner is such a sweetheart, she will do anything for you! It’s quiet, so clean, room layout is awesome, great mini kitchen, comfy bed, awesome shower. Just all around an amazing little gem. Will be staying here on my next trip to South Florida!

We stayed a week and were very happy with our accommodation's. The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed with a full kitchen. We were able to make breakfast each morning and grilled out a couple of nights. There's a Publix grocery store less than a half mile away to grab your food and supplies. The beach and the downtown area (with several good dining options) is about a 5 minute walk from the motel. The owner's live on site and were very nice and accommodating. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again!

This place was so amazing. I judged it at first but when I gave it a chance it turned out amazing!! It’s clean, the owners are very kind, there is a nice view and walking distance from the beach. The cats are also very nice there. I will definitely try to return and I definitely recommend this place

Nice, clean and quiet. Close walk to all in quaint little town. Short drive to all Ft. Lauderdale sites, only 45 minutes to Miami area. Very enjoyable stay, owners live on property which is a good thing. Definitely looking forward to next visit.

I live in Fort Lauderdale and must have passed this place 1000 times! Great romantic spot within walking distance of great restaurants, shops, and the beach! Full kitchen, cable, wifi, and a queen bed! My fiancé and I ate a home cooked meal on the rooftop EVERY NIGHT; which was an unexpected touch. I mean, you're not staying at the Hilton, but this place holds so much character.

The placement was outstanding! Literally everything that should be noisy and distracting about the location is just out of earshot. After getting back to our location at night, it was like we were in a completely different city even though it was less than 1/5 of mile from all the good stuff.

We decided we will definitely add it to our go-to list for bae-cations in Fort Lauderdale.

We found Breakaway Inn and Guest House as a last minute replacement for another local booking that cancelled us just as we arrived in Fort Lauderdale. Margaret at Breakaway found a way to accomidate us and was fabulous. This is an older facility but it is well kept, clean, quiet and they have everything from a basketball to use on the courts across the street in the park, to lawn chairs to take to the beach with you. She even supplied beach towels for the pool and/or the beach - something I have never heard of before. Great service / great price and great location; near the beach, the center of town, activities and pier.

Low key well organized ,very clean. In walking distance to everything , restaurants , supermarket , beach is only a block away . Really great stay. Can't wait to come back. Free parking , pool , bbq grills. Very well maintained . The list of positives goes on and on. And the price is right !!

Enjoyed our 11 day stay at the Breakaway Inn. Owners and staff are very attentive and the daily cleaning service was certainly a nice perk. The one bedroom was perfect for us and the location couldn't have been more convenient visiting family who moved to a location nearby in Fort Lauderdale. Two block walk to the east to the beach, a 2-3 block walk to the south to Commercial Blvd. to the little shops and restaurants located by the pier and beach, and a Publix 3-4 blocks to the north to buy groceries so we didn't have to eat out all the time. Lovely property, well maintained, pride of ownership. Bath had plenty of towels and hot water. The kitchen was well-stocked and convenient! Location was quiet, close to everything! We'll be back soon, Margaret! Thanks for everything! Gerri & John

The staff there was very friendly and helpful. Our room, our stay both were prepared with great care and pride. This was a good vacation to come home to and visit again !

Awesome Place !! My wife and I visited for a week in July an we loved our stay ! Very quite and peaceful but in walking distance of anything you need; food, bars, beach, shopping etc... hopefully we can book again and bring our kids next year..
and can’t forget the FREE PARKING on site lol

Great, clean, well run hotel. Quite neighborhood, walking distance to the beach, pier, restaurants. Great location and pricing. Cozy. We always stay there when visiting FLL/Miami area.
