Fat Freddy's Sub Shop

I’ve been eating here since the 80’s grew up in the neighborhood directly behind it and my Mom & Dads store “Karen & Don Designer’s” used to be right next door!
Brought my family here while visiting and this place is exactly the same as it was years ago, Great service, Fantastic food, it’s a never fail type of place!
Fun fact my daughter in the picture sitting in the booth is sitting exactly where I sat when I was her age!

You need to try their Juan Rodriguez special. Best place I've been to in a long time. The owners are super nice.

Never have been inside this restaurant but I order the Italian sub from them maybe once a week. It’s absolutely the best Italian sub I’ve ever had. They make it perfectly every time. Also they have amazing house made hot sauce. I love fat Freddy’s - Nick

But, its the BEST SUBS in town. I love the STEAK subs. But everything is GREAT. Thanks you guys,

Have been going here for quite a few years. I was concerned when ownership changed but went with an open mind. The preparation is different but the food is still very good. Some people just won't accept change. Gianna and Nicholas are friendly and do a great job. I look forward to going here every Friday.

Best Philly cheese steak in town!

Been coming here for over two decades and nothing has changed, which is good. Don't fix it if it ain't broken. Love the Favorite and the friendly service.

Big fat subs with a lot of meat. Great value

A small place and CASH only. That being said. The open kitchen is perfectly clean. I mean spotless! The above average portions are well worth the average price. It is at least a once a week stop for lunch for myself and several co-workers.

This is the best place for a sub in town. I come in for the hamburger subs, steak and cheese, and the breakfast subs. I have been coming here for a long time and they deserve the review. They have the best sweet peppers to add to your steak and cheese, also ask for a side of hot for extra 25 cents and it is a sizzling but flavorful hot sauce to die for.

We got a cheese veggie sub and a cheese steak sub. They were both absolutely delicious! The bread was so fresh and fluffy. The steak was perfectly cooked. The sandwich toppings on the veggie sub were fresh and tasty. Definitely would come back here any day and refer anyone to go here!

Great steak and onion subs. Service and staff also great. I stop in every time I get to broward. Don't pay attention to one star post 7 months ago (you know who you are). Anyone who gives this place one star because they only accept cash and then implies illegal transaction can't be trusted. Stop by and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed !

Stopped here for lunch on our way to FLL. Food was great (bread tasted just-made) and the couple who own/operate the shop were top-notch. If we lived locally, we’d be eating here a lot.

I was told about this place by locals. The staff is friendly and service fast. I had the steak and cheese sub with their own hot sauce. Delicious! They remind me of Dan's Subs that was on Sunrise Blvd by the tracks. My new spot for steak and cheese subs.

Referred by a friend. I'm local 7 years never been... what a mistake. Read the reviews and saw they had a stake bomb. I'd do without the mayo, but definitely the best sub shop I've ever been to down here. They gained a customer here.

Excellent food, owned by a great couple who both greet you every time you come in. I want to try every sub they have (and love that they can do any of their subs without bread for a low carb version)!

Been a customer of Fat Freddy’s since 1976. Went there as a 13 year old kid on my bicycle after collecting bottles in the neighborhood & cashing them in. Had a favorite steak sandwich & have been hooked ever since. Through 4 different owners to the current ones —( Matt & Cassie ) the food quality has never been better. Fresh bread , every vegetable made fresh daily. Matt slices his own beef for the steak sandwiches. 44 years later it’s still my favorite sandwich / sub shop !!!
