Sea Lord Hotel

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at the Sea Lord hotel. I contacted them about 4 days in advance of my husbands and my elopement to see if we could use their beach area for the ceremony as myself, my husband and my parents were staying there a few nights. Not only did they allow that, they hosted 11 of us for an amazing dinner after! They went above and beyond to have a beautiful table setting, amazing meal, and champagne toast for us all.

The staff was so kind in making sure that we all had everything that we needed throughout our stay. We are so grateful to Richard, Tatiana, and the rest of the team for making this happen for us. They truly treated us like family when we were there and made our small elopement so magical. We will definitely be back!

Awesome week! 1 bedroom apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable! The staff attentive and very friendly! Location great - on the quiet end of the beach but a short walk to restaurants and shops. Planning to return next year! BTW - the bed and linens so comfortable! Exterior clean and nice. Definitely stood out among the rest along the street!

What a gem. The Sea Lord hotel was fantastic. We stayed over Memorial weekend 2024. Super close to local bars/restaurants. Only a 5min walk. Although, their on-site restaurant had better quality food and similar prices. Location was on the beach (private beach access). The hotel has tons of character and charm, and the staff were always nice. Adults-only hotel was great... no kids keeps the noise down around the hotel and on the beach. My wife and I would absolutely go back.

The Sea Lord exceeded our expectations. The beach front room was extremely comfortable and the direct access to the beach was just steps away. Richard is an amazing host and to our surprise, his culinary skills rival the best restaurants in Florida. Tatiana who supports Richard is a gem and went out of her way to accommodate us. The whole experience left us wanting to stay longer and it goes without saying that we look forward to our return visit to the Sea Lord Hotel.

10/10!! Staff was amazing, friendly and extremely accommodating. They upgraded our room since we were celebrating an anniversary. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Great location ON the beach and walking distance (7 minutes) to all the restaurants and shops. Great pool area with bar and plenty of seating. Beach chairs and umbrellas available to rent. FREE parking on site. Very reasonable pricing compared to others, nice value. Great weekend getaway. Cant say enough good things about this place… definitely recommend it to anyone!

I love this hotel! We have stayed multiple times and it is always our go to for family, friends and business associates. The location is perfect directly on the beach and within walking distance to every amenity, the restaurant is quaint, the full bar is cozy! The ownership and staff will accommodate any need with a smile and grace; they are always focused on the guests and customer service. The Sea Lord should be your only hotel pick in the area.

This is our annual get-away. It’s a family-owned smaller boutique hotel with room or suite accommodation. We love the suite accommodations and the no-children policy. It’s peaceful and has both private beach and open beach access. Meals are served all day and in-room too. You can also get your choice of food cooked to order! We love that aspect. Richard, the owner is very personable and a great cook!

My wife and I had an absolutely incredible weekend getaway at the Sea Lord Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional service and warmth. Our suite was nothing short of luxurious, offering privacy and a romantic ambiance that made our stay unforgettable. The attention to detail in the room and throughout the hotel truly made us feel pampered.

The beach access right from the hotel was so convenient, and the ocean view from our suite was breathtaking. It was the perfect setting for a birthday celebration, and every moment felt like a dream. The "Sea Lord" is an amazing hotel to spend a week at, as we did is February. The staff are all wonderful, attentive to every detail and most pleasant to converse with. "Richard" the resort owner, is a most pleasant and enjoyable fellow to be around, and he's an excellent chef to boot. The rooms are large and well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The resort is directly on the beach which is extremely convenient for those daily beach strolls. The location is a short 5-10 minute walk to several excellent pubs and restaurants as well as convenience and liquor stores. We give the resort and staff a "high 5"

We have stayed at this hotel twice already, and have booked a third! The location is unbeatable. Right on a quiet section of the beach, but near plenty of bars and restaurants if you're looking for something livelier. I cannot recommend this enough!

The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the amenities are perfect.

This hotel is magical. Even though I was there for a 2 day seminar, I will return for a stay cation as well. The hotel is so cute clean, comfortable, kind and right on the beach. The rooms are large (beds ok) but the rest was perfect. The food is excellent, the chef is amazing. Two blocks away is a little town with restaurants and stores. This hotel is perfect.

Awesome few nights at the SeaLord again. They really care about their customers and provide a great service. I'm happy I got the chance to see the place grow into the jewel it is. We were truly blessed to have calm waters and reefs right outside our door this weekend and the snorkeling was incredible. We usually fly from Chicago to ft. lauderdale, drive to key west for four nights and then come back to sea lord for a few nights where the airport is so close. We will be back.

We booked one of the panoramic corner rooms on the top floor (5th). Beautiful room with beautiful views of the beach and ocean. Rooms serviced daily! Food and atmosphere at the hotel were excellent. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. Sea Lord is centrally located with much to see and do within walking distance. Enjoyed it so much we extended an extra week! Highly recommend!

I wanted to surprise my wife for her birthday, and the Sea Lord Hotel was the perfect choice. I remembered my childhood visits to this hotel fondly, and I knew it would be the ideal setting for a romantic getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in warmth and hospitality.

The Sea Lord was a wonderful hotel. Loved the beach and the pool. Room was very nice. Having the kitchen area was great. Staff were wonderful. We will be back.

We have been coming to the Sea Lord for the past 8 years ~ sometimes twice a year. We love that the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely accommodating and helpful. And the location can’t be beat. It’s right on the beach with a spectacular view and walkable to local bars, restaurants and shopping. It’s the perfect relaxing vacation spot.

We love coming to the Sea Lord Hotel. How did we find your Hotel in the first place many years ago? Well, our daughter picked it randomly from a list of Hotels, and we liked it so much, that we keep coming back.

I miss the Continental Breakfast that you used to serve 5 years ago.

I can honestly say this was one of the best hotels we've had the pleasure of staying at.

When we originally booked our room we did so directly - by calling; which isn't a norm for us. I'm glad we did because we were able to speak directly to their wonderful staff who 'hooked us up' with, not just an incredible room but an incredible rate.

On the phone before even booking they were able to tell us exactly what room we would be getting. I won't disclose it for risk of it getting too much attention when we go to book it again ;), but we mentioned we wanted a top floor - beach facing, if possible; and they definitely delivered! They even went as far as to send us photos and a video of the exact room we would be getting.

A few weeks before our visit we were worried it would be a false promise so we called the hotel again just to check and they confirmed the same room! Our fears were squashed instantly.

Upon arrive we were meet with a gorgeous exterior softly lit with palm trees covered in lights. The hotel has a very impressive appearance - especially at night. Walking in we were greeted by the sweetest person, Tatiana, and she truly was amazing. She was extremely welcoming, beyond helpful and informative, showed us around the hotel grounds, and was extremely charming. Each time we entered the hotel she would greet us with a 'Hey boys, what are we up to today?'. She held a conversation and actually cared and gave us some pretty great ideas to fill our day as well.

We received exactly what they had promised and we felt so special. The room was spectacular and beautiful and came with amenities we would never have expected. A kitchenette with a large undercounter refrigerator, sink, built-in microwave and dishes, silverware, and wine glasses. They didn't forget the wine opener either! One the counter was a welcome note and a plate of fresh fruit. Truly above and beyond service.

The room had a beautiful queen bed surrounded by what seemed like 20 outlets and USB ports for charging your devices. Another thoughtful ammonite I think is often overlooked. A sleeper sofa, dresser and flat screen TV. The Patio was large with two chairs and a table, perfect for a couple cocktails as you watch the storms roll through. The view is incredible. You not only overlook their beautiful and clean pool followed by their amazing grounds, but you're feet from the ocean with a perfect sized private beach between you and it.

A large hallway w/ tall storage leads you to the beautiful and new feeling bathroom. with wall to wall tile that is perfect for the setting. Everything felt clean and cared for.

Sea Lord is within walking distance of Lauderdale by the sea which has a few restaurants, bars and places to grab desert along with doing some shopping. If you need wine or alcohol to bring back to the hotel, there is a Walgreens liquor store just across from Lauderdale by the Sea. Everything you could need is within walking distance but if you'd like to tour Fort Lauderdale you're only a 20-25 mins uber or drive to downtown. Check out Las Olas when you're in town. It's a great spot with lots to do.

Overall, the Sea Lord blew us away. It is truly a hidden gem, one we are happy to have found. We will definitely be coming back and are excited for our next vacation to the Fort Lauderdale area.
