Warning!!!! My daughter rents an apt. at the Howard St Apts in Boone, NC. She is a hard working student at Appalachian State University and has had nothing but trouble with the management company there. Freeman and Co. takes little interest in what their management companies are doing, our should I say not doing, with their properties. I have never seen more "ill equipped" management and owners. They do less then the bare minimum for their tenants, they are slow, rude, inconsiderate and beyond unprofessional. Beware!!! They will stall, lie, make excuses, point the finger and pass the buck before just simply doing the right thing. I am appalled at the way they take advantage of these students and had to go as far as getting a lawyer to protect my daughter's interests. They should be ashamed and embarrassed of how they run their business and truly don't know how they sleep at night. Stay away!
