Hero Thai Sushi Hibachi

Let’s face it! It’s been tough during COVID. A lot of places closed but a lot of places opened as well. My boyfriend and I went out for the first time since May to eat at Hero and it was amazing! The food and service was exceptional! It’s a small Thai - Sushi restaurant tucked away in a plaza. Lovely ambiance and nice and clean! As soon as you walk in you felt like one of the family. Our server George was so friendly and cheerful. He made our experience even more pleasurable. Now about the food!!!!.....kudos to the chef Neil! Everything we had was simply delicious! The presentation was exquisite, the fish was fresh and the sushi rolls were so big! The crispy rice with Tuna tartar is a must to try! This is definitely a place to visit, we will be back for sure!

Found this place on google and gave it a try. I absolutely loved it. The food was delicious I ordered beef pho and chicken Bao Bun and Thai donuts. I was not disappointed, everything was delicious and the portion and prices are very good. The owner was very friendly. I’m definitely coming back. I’m happy I found this place

Do yourself a favor and try this neighborhood gem! It is recently under new management/ownership with a new name, “Hero Thai Sushi and Japanese” and an updated interior space. The sushi chef is truly a master, very talented and skillful. Every roll is an experience for the taste buds. Service is friendly and professional. The kitchen chef also produces delicious food. Make sure to order her homemade dumplings! As corporate pilots, we are in restaurants all over the place all the time, and this is our favorite sushi establishment. They offer cozy dining, take out, and delivery with the popular apps.

I liked this place! I had Tom kha soup, chicken and garlic fried rice and eel sashimi. Delicious. I recommend this place if you like such type of cuisine. Thank you!

Hidden gem is an understatement! This place is awesome. Amazing food. We ordered 5 sushi rolls and wish our stomachs were bigger to eat more. Make sure to try their salad with the homemade dressing. Absolutely delicious, light and refreshing! The owner was so sweet and made us feel very welcome. Thank you so much, we will be back for sure!

Placed an ordered about an hour before close and they had it ready in 20min! Food was great, big portions, fairly priced. Overall a great experience. Got the Tofu Fried Rice and the Dragon Roll, really good flavor and taste.

Drove all the way up here from Wilton Manors and it was well worth it! New owner is awesome. Food is tasty, and sushi was so fresh and delicious. Best chicken green curry I’ve ever had; very authentic! Highly recommend for lunch and/or dinner.

A quaint and unassuming hidden gem. The prices and portions were exactly right. The fillet mignon was cooked perfectly along with the rice and veggies and the miso soup was the best I've had in a long time. Can't wait to go back.

New name, new owners but same great sentiments. Fantastic service, very attentive and accommodating! This place is small but modern with a warm and friendly feel that adds to the great food!

Ordered delivery in the quarantine and was pleasantly surprised! The pad thai is one of the best I've ever had. It was flavorful, with the right amount of moist, and a good amount of shrimp and veggies. The sushi was also fresh, and they have a great selection of rolls. I had the Lucy, which came with salmon on top and it was delicious. Will definitely save this for future reference.

The owners are awesome and the food is delicious. I've been a couple of times now and find new things I like every time. All of the sushi rolls are great and the green curry is phenomenal too. Definitely recommend for delivery or eat in!

After a couple of mishaps with previous owners, this little restaurant went finally back to its full splendor. New owners/sushi chef from October 2019 are great and the food is amazing. I go once a week and I've tried different sushi rolls and the hibachi salmon. The hibachi is a lot of food (soup or salad plus salmon plus veggies plus hibachi rice) and very tasty. Sushi rolls are super fresh, and the flavors really stand out. The deluxe salmon roll is my favorite, but while I am writing this I am eating a Lucy's roll and it is really really good too. My family and I are very picky with raw fish, and we trust this place for a reason: after trying this sushi you will understand why the owner was the master chef in Coco Asian Bistro in Fort Lauderdale for many years. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

I love this place. Family owned and food is nice, fresh and really good. You won’t be disappointed. Their chicken fried rice is really tasty. I don’t go to any other hibachi! Love their combination platters and their veggies are great.

The best Thai food!! Best Yakisoba that I have eaten ever! Chicken garlic fried rice was excellent! Last but not least the Thai Donut was mouth watering and to die for!! Huge variety on the menu. This is not an ordinary place, the cooking is special and the service is great!!

This place is one of a kind. If you're looking for someone to wipe your nose for you when you eat then this might not be the spot for you. It's all about great food and authentic sushi and hibachi. Went for lunch and saw a husband and wife team taking care of business. If felt like I was coming home. The sushi was impeccable. The service was perfect. Five tables in the whole place. Can't wait to go back and get some Hibachi.

The first thing anyone should notice when entering a restaurant is an intoxicating aroma and this place definitely bears that marking. Even though it's small (cozy) and has a pretty limited menu, what they have, they make great. The server was very pleasant and kept my party well hydrated. We had the chicken and beef teriyaki plates along with the Philadelphia roll. The rolls were fantastic and the meals were ready quickly (despite there being only one cook). The sauce they use was outstanding, a perfect mixture of sweet and salty. My party and I throughly enjoyed the meal and the service and plan on going back soon.

Great place and great food until recently. Sadly the same items I have gotten over the past several months was completely different and nothing like it was in the pictures. Prett depressed about the changes.

This place is a great choice for food. Quality. If you want a show or presentation then your best bet is else where but if a good meal is what you want then go for it. Some places are great atmosphere with terrible food where this place is delicious hibachi style food at amazing prices. May not be the most appealing venue but who ever goes to a place for the taste in tables and chairs. Lol... it's worth a try even for the skeptics.
