We have been searching for 7 years since we moved to the US for ‘proper’ lasagna and we have found it!
The restaurant opened at 4.30pm and when we left every single table was full and I can see why!
Service amazing and food was out of this world! We ended with the Tiramisu flight and it was a solid 10!
We will be back!

I cannot express enough how exceptional our experience was at this charming Italian restaurant. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. This is about the third time I've dined at this restaurant. I enjoy having a nice cocktail prior to my meal which is very reasonably priced The meal was perfectly prepared and well presented. Overall service was good but this night they seem to be a little bit understaffed so it took a while to take my order but once placed it was served in reasonable time. The service they check on the status a few times to check on water levels or offering additional drink. I will be coming back when in Denver

The food is magnificent. Hard to find such authentic Italian food these days but this does the trick. Very calm environment that brought intimacy and homey vibes to my experience. Would definitely recommend and am still thinking about the lasagna I had.

Each dish is a masterpiece, lovingly crafted from the finest ingredients and bursting with authentic Italian flavors.This is certainly without a doubt a local favorite for my family and friends without a doubt. I could eat here every day and not ever get tired of it. Having moved away and not being able to come as frequently nothing in my town now compared to Mattiello’s and it’s the first place i want to go when i’m home!

Overall great experience! Food was absolutely great: hot, fast and fresh. Staff was very kind, you can tell they go above and beyond for customers! Menu had a lot of variety and there are options for everyone. My first time going here and will definitely be back, recommend for everyone.

Authentic Italian food. The Beef carpacio was so tender, The homemade taglitelle with ragu was so light eggy and fluffy. The homemade spinach noodle, bechemel lasagna was the best I have had since visiting Italy. The traditional Modena gnocchi fritto with imported Prosciutto was so delicious and airy. Homemade tiramisu to top it off.

We visited the evening of 3/7 and I wasn’t really sure what to expect based on the reviews. Our dinner was amazing! I had the carbonara, my husband had the lasagna (Sicilian so don’t expect meaty sauce) and our friend got the ragu. They make some of the pasta in house and you can really taste it. We enjoyed a bottle of wine as well and really enjoyed the dinner. The chef came out and introduced himself, his son and daughter were our wait staff so it’s a family business which I hope can be successful. I honestly have no complaints and will definitely be back. I’ll be posting this review on their other google site. For some reason they have more than one google page.

Food was great! I got the lasagna last time, the best I have ever had! The staff there made sure we were comfortable and helped with anything we needed. I’ll be back again for sure!

I've known WIlliam since I met him at his restaurant in NYC. Of the many Italian restaurants in New York, his was my favorite by far. His food is fantastic, made with love, and served in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Always a great time.

If you live in or around Denver and you have never eaten here you are missing out big time. My wife and I dying here tonight because we could not get into a couple other places we were trying to go. When the food came out my wife and I kept stopping in amazement as we tasted each other's dishes repeatedly because it was so Damm good. The food was so good that we had our server Paxton( who you should ask for when you dine there because he's on his game and he's pretty funny) bring out an order of the mushroom risotto as well as the Truffle parmesan french fries. We had these dishes on top of the penne con pollo and my catfish with saffron polenta encrusted risotto and the calamari..... if we stayed there much longer I was going to start working my way through the lasagnas but I'm saving that for next time. I met the chef on the way out and asked about how he makes such delicious food and his answer was exactly what you would want to hear..... he said he makes it all from scratch except for the gelato. He makes the dough for the pasta by hand. He makes the risotto to order every time. Simple ingredients, clean flavors and a love of cooking..... the chef has all of this in abundance. Make this your next destination for dinner and you will not be disappointed.

Holy smokes, this pizza is amazing. Great crust, ingredients and you can taste the love. Father and Son were so great and very appreciative of the business during Covid. The price for the pizza is amazing, esp considering the quality of ingredients. Ask for the the pizza special, Salami, spinach with garlic was on point!

I had an amazing experience at matiellos with my family the food was delightful we are definitely coming back soon, service was outstanding, everyone is super friendly they make you feel very welcome since you get to the door, if you want to get the best bolognese pasta in town you definitely need to visit them! Another wonderful experience at Mattiello’s. This family’s regional Italian cuisine always delights. A gem in Denver that needs to be experienced for a true taste of Italy. Tonight’s main course special was a peppercorn steak served with thin cut fries and an amazing peppercorn sauce. Delicious!!!

Fresh ripe tomatoes, mozzarella and basil. Super grilled salmon, asparagus and risotto. Followed by gelato. Good Italian wine choices. Amarone was amazing. Best special we've had here was duck breast with Brussel sprouts and pine nuts and risotto. Family owned and operated. Beatrice is an awesome waitress. Whole experience was A plus!

Mattiello’s has been a staple of mine forever. Great food, service, and ambiance. Will always come back recommend to everyone I know. Truly 10 out of 10

My wife and I bought take out from Mattiello’s last night, March 20. The menu is northern Italian. She had the mixed greens salad and Tagliolini al Pesto. Nice salad, not all iceberg. The thin egg noodles are made in house. The pesto was not the creamy style, thank goodness, and had diced potatoes and string beans mixed in. It seemed a little unusual, but tasted great. I had a Caesar salad and Farfalle al Salmone (bow tie pasta, smoked salmon, asparagus with a light cream sauce). The food was very tasty. The servings were large enough that we will get a second meal. Freshly toasted pita chips were included, so having some hummus on hand works well. If ordering to take out, pass on the French fries as they do not travel well in a sealed take-out container. Cannot comment on the service beyond the food was ready when we requested. These are trying times. Prices were reasonable. Mattiello’s is definitely a positive addition to the Denver scene.

Very friendly staff and nice ambience. My favorite so far has been the Farfalle al Salmone.

Fantastic dinner last night! I can't say enough about the Scallops! My husband had Pork Marsala and said it was so tender and the best he had ever eaten! If you haven't eaten here, you are missing out! We are never disappointed. We feel this is a “gem” of a restaurant in Denver, NC. Manhattan’s loss and our gain! We are so glad Chef William and his family are here!

I love Italian food and have dined at many Italian restaurants and spent years learning the art of cooking it as well. Believe me when I say that this is without a doubt one of the best I have been to. The food was superb it was cooked CORRECTLY, The service was perfect, The drinks and Deserts were simply amazing. I am impressed and satisfied in all ways.
