Next Generation Academy is unlike any school that I have ever seen! I have been in education for over 15 years and I also have two small children. They are students here and they love it! The school is such a strong community and not only so but my kids feel wanted and supported there. They have the top-of-the-line equipment to clean the facility, the teachers are compassionate, and the administration is on point. The support staff is phenomenal and my children come home happy and they can’t wait to tell me what they have learned. The facility is top of the line also! I highly recommend NGA to any and everyone.😍👍🏽

We've been with NGA since 2018 when the school opened and our daughter was in kindergarten. We're SO proud of the school, the teachers and the administration. They've faced many challenges and have embraced them all while keeping the students best interests. My daughter has enjoyed ALL of her teachers at NGA and I love the family feel I get everytime I come to the school. As a parent, I am very active and involved and I think that helps with developing positive relationships. Although my daughter has been completely virtual this year she's had a great 2nd grade experience. Her teacher Ms. Morris is AMAZING! She has a wonderful personality and is truly a great asset to NGA. Dr. Misher and Mr. Florance have been wonderful and their leadership is greatly appreciated.

I have had a very positive experience at this school. We have wonderful families that are, for the most part, committed to helping their students succeed. The administration and staff really care about each other and each student. NGA has a beautiful facility and is always looking for ways to improve. I would not want to be anywhere else.

I just started working at NGA this past August, and I LOVE this school! There's a great "family oriented" environment here. The staff work so well together and with the students and parents! I feel appreciated here and that just makes we want to give 110%! I have become invested in this short period of time, and I would highly recommend NGA to any parent! The facility is also beautiful and welcoming!

My family and I love it here. The education and passion to succeed is A+. My son began his education at NGA. He is now in 2nd grade where he continues to soar. The communication, compassion and conscience effort on behalf of administration makes it a great experience.

NGA is an amazing charter school with dedicated staff. This school has a strong partnership with the PTSO to help meet the needs of the students. It has a warm and inviting learning environment. View the website for more information.

I'm new here to North Carolina my granddaughter goes here I think the teachers are great and the curriculum is excellent the only that sucks is the bus services if your a working parent the stops where the children is to get picked up are too far away, where I have to drive 5 to 7 minutes to get there so the bus service serves no purpose. It isn't convenient at all.

This school need new leadership and better teachers. My child has been discriminated and purposely picked on by the principal and his teacher. I have fought very hard in making sure my child has a great experience. I've reached out to the superintendent and they are just as slack. To be honest, my baby was better off going to a public school. Terrible, messy, unorganized, bullying staff.

Next Generation Academy proudly promotes their ability to handle children with special needs. However, our experience with them proves otherwise!
We had a meeting with the school to discuss assistance/accommodations that our child would need due to his disability... Yet their actions did not match their words. Our child did NOT receive what was discussed and agreed upon in the meeting. When our child had a meltdown as a result, the school exhibited poor communication in notifying us and discussing solutions.
If I could give them zero stars, I would and I do NOT recommend them to other parents. Especially those with special needs children!

I am very upset with this school and how they handle situations. The security of the children is not a priority at this school anyone can walk in and sign a child out there is no check for id’s or a question of who are you. You just walk in find the child’s name and sign. I have brought this up and my concerns was disregarded. Another situation my grandson was punched in the eye and instead of calling my daughter she was sent a message on the school app. When she went to the school to check on her son, again they made her feel like she was bothering them. The little boy that punched my grandson also was on top of another child hitting him in the face. We as a family thought by this school being for African Americans and a private school it would be a good experience. This school is a true disappointment. I have raised 3 children and they were in public schools and I have always been a parent to be involved in the schools and my daughter is the same way. We have requested a meeting two weeks ago and it seems like we are being again disregarded. My number one concern is the safety of not only my grandson but other children as-well. Hopefully our request for a meeting will be honored soon.

Definitely do not recommend this school if your child has any type of special needs or delays. I was told my child was going to receive a school evaluation to see what needs should be provided and to start a iep but before any of that was done we were called for a meeting basically telling us that my child can’t go to school full time they came up with that idea without any proper evaluation nor did they follow the MTSS PROCESS which they promote on their website which is suppose to give support for students as well as teachers for children who need extra help in school. The other option they strongly suggested was basically just putting him in another school which in another school my child will still have to go through the same evaluation process They also promote individualize learning which also doesn’t seems like they provide as well. The School definitely let my child down.

The transportation department is unorganized. Administration has failed to notifiy parents of bus changes to many times as if parents do not work. There is no back up plan in place other than having these elementary age babies on buses for 3+ hours at a time. Fed up and will be removing my children.
