El Cabo Verde

This is not just a restaurant it’s an experience. You you have acquired a palate that craves clean exceptional ingredients then this is your spot. The food speaks for it self. But the staff deserves accolades, these folks provide service with the most gracious demeanor and of the smiles are nice too. The staff makes you feel like your are dinning with extended family. Angelo, often waits on me, and I can not say anything other thank you, thank you for always exceeding my expectations and that’s no small order😍

This place has been on my radar for some time but it was never convenient to get to. On this day, I happened to be working in the area and seized the opportunity.

First of all, this is a very nice place. It's not your typical overly colorful Mexican restaurant. It's a very classy place decked out in white. Service was excellent with very friendly and helpful staff.

The chips & salsa were brought out quickly along with my obligatory Mexican food drink of sweet tea with some lime. To tell you the level of service, every time they refilled my tea, they made sure I had more lime to go with it. I've rarely seen this level of service especially in a Mexican restaurant. In most places I get some lime with the initial glass but none for the refills. The chips were not typical and definitely tasted healthier than most. I love places that bring multiple salsas and El Cabo brings you both a red and a green salsa. A uniqueness to the salsas were they served warm much like the Pappasitos chain does. I thoroughly enjoyed the salsas. I would rank them some of the best in the Shreveport area.

I ordered one of the enchilada lunch plates and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is organic which you don't find in many Mexican joints.

This place definitely has a foodie vibe to it and I can't wait to go back with my wife and try more dishes. It may become my top rated Mexican food in Shreveport but I need to try more of the menu first.

ENTIRELY GLUTEN FREE!!! This is one of the best experiences! Smaller venue provided a more personal service from invested staff. Each entree was expertly prepared, each dish was a delight to the palette. One dinner partner is horribly gluten-intolerant. He had the most relaxing, delicious, and worry-free dinner in months.

I chose to have my birthday dinner at El Cabo Verde. I had been meaning to check it out and I was not disappointed. The restaurant is on the small side with front patio seating. Because of the smaller side, it tended to get loud at times. That is why I gave atmosphere 4 stars. The wait staff was very polite, professional and prompt. We were served chips and warm salsa immediately after being seated. The salsa is very good! I ordered grilled shrimp and a margarita. I loved the margarita but some diners might consider it too sweet. My grilled shrimp was perfect! It was accompanied with grilled vegetables and quinoa. It was nice to have a healthy meal with lots of flavor.

Excellent flavors and quality food. Ambiance elegant and waitstaff efficient and polite. Prices a tiny bit on the higher side, but well worth it for the quality. We will stop by again on our way through Shreveport!

I was in Shreveport for approximately 3 weeks for business and this place was hands down, top two restaurants we visited. Servers were very quick with having chips and salsa as soon as we sat down, drinks were reasonably priced and SO delicious, food was fresh. I got the fish dinner, plantains, and shrimp salad and would go back to order the same exact thing if I could. The fish was a little salty, but that is my personal taste, I'm sure it would have been fine for most people. They also had patio seating which would be cute for warmer days. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would.

I love the sweet potato enchiladas, but today I had the special. Amaaaaazing!

My niece has celiac and we came upon this restaurant in Shreveport that is 100% gluten-free. Fantastic food, amazing service, friendly staff! Angelo was fantastic! I must stop if you’re in the area!

Absolutely delicious and I didn’t have to worry about gluten contamination. They had plantains too! Thank you for making my birthday amazing.

Fantastic family Sunday brunch - Adela was the best! Sorry I couldn't get photos of the full presentation before the kids started hammering everything, but next time we are in town we will be back! Edited to add - we went back and it was as good as before.

We stopped here on our way back to the DFW area. Let me start by saying I’m picky about Mexican food. This place was great. The guacamole appetizer with chips and salsa is a must have. Salsa is reserved for my chips only. Don’t drown your food in salsa unless it’s a food that is accompanied with salsa. I ordered pollo asado. The food was well seasoned and flavorful. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. The chicken was tender and juicy. You won’t be disappointed.

Only negative is always freakin busy. But that’s positive for every other reason. Ha! O, and always very fresh. Salsas are great, warm one & cold one. Pricey but I always feel like it was worth every penny.

Had a wonderful dinner with ample food and great service. From the greeting as you entered to the final goodbye it was a wonderful experience.

This place has an extremely good fresh taste in every plate we tried. The pork tamale and the camarones al mojo were so full of flavor, that they were exquisitely tasteful. The fried plantains dress up any plate choice. We will definitely be back soon.

I'm in town visiting, and El Cabo Verde delivered for excellent food with vegan options, courteous staff, and ambiance. I am 100% satisfied. I was the last patron for the night. Thank you!

Sweet potato enchiladas were excellent and makes a great vegan option if you’re trying to find a place to accommodate different palates in your party.

Best Mexican restaurant in Shreveport/Bossier!! The freshness and quality of the food are one of a kind! Only restaurant that uses organic foods!! Would highly recommend!!

I had a great experience at El Cabo Verde in Shreveport. I ordered two taco- street taco and carnitas. The street taco was my fave but everything I tried was delicious. Great salsa, guacamole, and quest. There is outdoor seating and the interior is modern and cool.

We are originally from North Louisiana but have lived in Fort Worth the last 18+ years.
So we know good Mexican. This place was great! The spinach dip with Mexican flare is a must try. This is the more traditional side of Mexican/TexMex. The pork was great as well as the chicken enchiladas. Warm salsas were really good as well. All in all this is the best Mexican in Shreveport Bossier in my opinion!!
