This bakery is amazing for sit down desserts or take out cakes. Of course we love the cheesecakes in many varieties, but we adore the Blue Velvet cake and it is absolutely legendary in our family. We had a special occasion this past weekend and this cake was so fresh and delicious. Guests just raved about it and insisted on having seconds and bringing what was left to the after party. It feeds more than 30/40 people for sure. And there are blueberries in the batter to boot. They packaged it beautifully for travel. Love love love this bakery!

Easily the one of the best cheesecakes I've had. I try a new flavor every time. My favorite ones are the pineapple, white chocolate raz and chocolate swirl. Love the outdoor seating.

I am a local and LOVE Cheesecakes by Alex! We have visited here for years and usually buy a couple of their large variety slice cheesecakes for someone’s birthday each year. But as of the past couple years we have noticed the late night crowd is picking up! We love to stop by after dinner and share a slice! This night we shared a strawberries and Cream slice and it was delicious! We even enjoyed their outdoor sidewalk seats. Service was efficient and do not let the long line deter you… they are quick and the treats are well worth a little wait!

Such a cute shop! It was surprisingly roomy inside and all the desserts looked so beautiful I had a hard time deciding. The staff were SO friendly and helpful in deciding what to get and honestly the whole experience was 10/10. I got the peanut butter and sweet potato soufflé cheesecakes 😋

Visited Greensboro last month and just realized we'd forgotten to review Cheesecakes by Alex. We got two flavored cheesecake slices to go. Both were delicious and well worth the price per slice (which was less than many other specialty shops). Hope to pass through Greensboro again to try more flavors.

First time in and it won’t be the last. I took one bite of this key lime cheesecake and ended up devouring the whole slice in seconds, I can’t wait to try the myriad of other flavor options offered here. The gluten free muffin was amazing as well, super flavorful and moist (probably one of the best gluten free baked goods I’ve had). I’m already embarrassed to see how much money I’m going to end up spending at this bakery.

Alex's is an institution in Greensboro. We haven't had a bad slice of cheesecake in years of visiting. My personal favorites are the Chocolate Chip and the Cookies and Cream - the Oreo crust with the creamy vanilla cheesecake is delicious! One of our favorite places to top off a dinner downtown.

Cheesecakes by Alex is always my first stop when I come to Greensboro! It's my go to for special occasion treats or just treat yo self. Everything is always consistently delicious and fresh. The staff is always friendly. I'd ask for a Raleigh location but for my health, grateful you're in Greensboro 🤣

We came from out of town and wanted a dessert after an early dinner. I found Alex's and decided to give it a shot and I am so glad we did! We chose the peanut butter cup cheesecake and the chocolate swirl cheesecake. These were one of the best cheesecakes I have ever had. After I had a Junior's Cheesecake in NY, it has been hard to find one that I like just as well. The staff was friendly and quick service. If you have a sweet tooth and stumble into Greensboro, you have to come here. While I am not a big sweets person, you can't resist this place. As you can see from my pictures, they have more than just cheesecake.

I got a snickerdoodle cookie and a German chocolate cake for my father. I also got a coffee which was perfect for today's chill. Yet, I normally would get a chai tea or hot cider. They have it all. I definitely recommend this place if you are anywhere near downtown Greensboro.

I've often felt that if we have any chance at conquering alien invaders, we will have to hope that they are lactose intolerant. That way, we could hope to subvert their plans for Earth conquest by offering them cheesecake as a peace offering.

Cheesecakes by Alex would make a good bid for the aliens to surrender. I visited on an early Saturday evening and enjoyed their Chocolate Swirl variety Cheesecake and medium cappuccino made to order. Both were delicious.

The Cheesecake texture was very creamy and relatively light. I almost felt like I had room to try one of their other delicious flavors that I saw housed in the showcase... like Pumpkin, White- chocolate raspberry, and Dark Chocolate. They also had an assortment of cakes, scones, cookies, and cupcakes. I was really interested in trying the blue velvet cake. I opted to try the banana pudding cake which I failed to take a picture of and it was very delicious...very delicious.

My final verdict is 5 stars. I walked away from this venue with a definite homemade impression.

The cake, cheesecake, and chocolate chip cookies I tried all had a very homemade mouth feel and flavor that I would definitely return for.

The coffee was great too.

I love cheesecake and when I came across this place they did not disappoint. I got the red velvet cheesecake. One bite and I was hooked. They had so many flavors to choose from. I'll be getting more than one option next time I'm in downtown Greensboro!

Best cheesecake you will ever have. A plethora of different flavors and incredible service. I love the sweet potato cheese cake and I cannot leave with grabbing a cannoli. A perfect stop after grabbing dinner downtown.

Bagels were very good, and pastries were excellent when we went back a second day. Latte was above average.

I’ve been a couple of times in the past week and the cheesecakes and cakes are amazing! Great flavor and many different options to select from. I will definitely be back!!!!

The service was awesome. They had many different varieties of cheesecake. Additionally, they sold ice cream, coffee, teas and cookies. They had a very good chocolate cookie cream pie. Many great options to choose from
